Chapter 2
As soon as Elkvis ambled off to better bitterbrush pastures, they loaded the SUV and started home. Breezy had stared out the window all the way, transfixed by the incredible scenery. It had suited Tildi fine because it gave her time to think.
As they pulled under the overhang at the main lodge, a wave of déjà vu rolled over Tildi. Had she really been at the ranch only a week? It felt more like home than anywhere else she’d ever lived.
