15. Brogan #3

“...often see his movies. I’m not thinking I watched them too much,” Enslee said.

And although I’d missed part of what she was saying, I caught the last part. “Why not?”

“I think seeing someone else touching him would’ve upset me.”

I chuckled. “My thoughts exactly.”

“I’m so irresistible to you both. Just go on and admit it.”

Enslee and I both slapped him with a pillow, and he grinned.

I did too. And for the first time in a long time, I felt it actually reach my eyes.

The movie started, and other than stopping to pop some popcorn and refill our drinks, we watched it from beginning to end before queuing up another one.

Before we knew it, the entire afternoon passed, and we were well into the evening.

“Do you want dinner?” Declan had asked Enslee before she yawned softly, then announced she was headed to bed.

“I ate so much today that I feel like I might pop. I doubt I make a habit of that very often.”

“Well, goodnight,” I said to her, and she moved over to me then framed my face in her hands. I had several inches on her in height, so she had to raise onto her tiptoes, and when she did, she was the one to press her lips to mine.

I kissed her back, then watched as Declan did the same. Afterward, she disappeared down the hallway. Once she was in her room, we moved to the theater room downstairs that we could not only lock, but also not be heard due to the soundproofing,

“Jenni really came through with those pictures,” I told him.

“That she did. I’m only sorry that some included Layla.”

“No, it's fine. They looked very believable as Enslee.”

“Jenni has mad skills when it comes to Photoshop and all.”

I moved over to him and started to kiss along his jaw and chin, then his cheeks and nose, avoiding the area we both wanted to feel each other’s lips the most. “I wish I could’ve just photoshopped Layla out of my life so none of this would’ve ever happened.

We’d be here at home alone, and I’d have your cock in my mouth. ”

“So you want to blow me, baby,” Declan said in teasing.

My hands moved to his ass and I yanked him toward me.

“For starters,” he groaned, especially when I lapped at his lips once or twice before pulling away from him.

“I know this has been hard on you, and that you might not understand my desire to carry on my family name.

Not all were like my father, and I don't want generations of Sinclairs ceasing to exist because of my own selfish urges.”

Declan ran his palm up my chest and my muscles bunched beneath his touch. I was about to drop his hand lower until he started to speak. “It's not a selfish urge to want to be happy, Brogan. Everyone deserves the pursuit of happiness.”

“I guess you’re right. I’ll also note that Enslee is a lot more endearing when not interrogating me about Layla.

She’s asking me all these questions now, but I don't mind answering these kinds. It’s ironic because the night that she came to my office, I could’ve done the same.

If I had, this clusterfuck with her would’ve never even happened. ”

“Different types of questions, Brog—"

“I guess so. And for the record, you know we don't have to actually do this, right? You're putting your ass on the line for me and implicating yourself so deep to where you'll never be able to get out.”

“Hey, did we not have this discussion last night? I said I’m in this with you from beginning to end. We’ll find a way through this because we did nothing wrong. Maybe with Enslee, but not with Layla.”

“It’s not too late to rectify this. We could tell Enslee everything, and maybe she’d have some sort of sympathy for us,” I suggested.

“You really want to thrust her into a life she doesn't remember? We’re not familiar because we weren't in her life, but she doesn't remember the ones that were, either. She doesn't recall any of it, so essentially, we’d just be thrusting her out onto the street.”

“I’m so tired of the secrets,” I bemoaned as I pressed my forehead to his. “This is one more secret we have to kee—”

“It’s a good thing that my mind is a vault. I'll keep every one of your secrets.”

I truly didn’t deserve this man. For all of the wrong I must’ve done in my previous life, I had to have also done something good to get the love of someone like Declan. He wasn’t going to back down or walk away.

“You know we're going to have to start being a lot more convincing, probably a lot more touchy-feely. She's asking questions, likely looking for some sort of intimacy. Talking isn't going to be enough before too long.”

“We'll do whatever is needed.”

“You know this isn't a role. You're an actor and a damn fine one at that, but this isn't some part you come home and can forget about. This role involves your personal life.”

“And it will be the most amazing one I’ll play. I’ll deserve an Academy Award after this one, but it’ll be worth it.”

“So, this is the moment of truth. Final decision. Final answer. Are we in or are we out?”

Declan grabbed my face between his hands and smirked wickedly at me. “All in, always. Now about that blow job…”
