Chapter Seven

When they met Sergi and Yuri in the security room, Bane greeted them.

They all knew Bastian and he shook Sergi’s hand.

They sat and told them what they learned that morning.

“We had no problem getting to Dominic.” Bane shrugged.

“Yes he had a bodyguard but we caught them both sleeping. We left the guard tranked and unable to alert anyone so we don’t know if he’s been released yet or not.

We took Dominic to our warehouse and we spoke to him this morning.

He had a lot to say actually.” He leaned back in his chair.

“We now know there are two more men in this charade. A man named Frank Ambrose a.k.a. Aaron Killian. He actually has two roles in the game. He’s not only a killer but he’s a front man and he makes the deals so he’s getting double the money and no one has ever seen his face.

So he’s nothing more than a shadow. He’s only playing the fool. ”

Sergi growled. “So he not only plays himself but he also plays you at times and now we know he plays as an actual gun and weapons runner. And he can go from one identity to another in the blink of an eye. It must be confusing at times.”

Bane shrugged. “Then we have Jonovich Partross and he happens to be Oleg Partross’ grandson. He usually deals with the European sector. He changed his name often as well so as not to be linked to his grandfather if he ever got caught.”

James spoke up then, “I sent a text to Serenity early this morning to let her know that Killian might have money under his mother’s name.”

Just then, Serenity and Nicky came in.

Serenity spoke up, “I did check it out and boy, you were right, I found his secret accounts. He had a lot of money in there.” She turned to look at Sergi.

“I checked the vital office and Miranda Killian died three years ago but last week there was a hefty deposit into her account. I moved the money already.”

Bane sat there with a blank look on his face.

Yuri noticed it and motioned at Sergi.

Sergi turned his head to observe Bane. Finally, he asked, “What is troubling you?”

Bane sighed hard. “Just something I remembered from the past last night. Aaron’s father was a real bastard of a man and a husband.

He used to drink a lot back in his day and he was mean enough when he was sober but when he drank?

He liked to use his fists on his wife and his sons.

When Aaron was fourteen, his father started a fight with his wife.

He was beating on Miranda and Aaron couldn’t take it anymore.

He ended up killing the old man. It was his first kill.

That started his life as a killer. He and his brothers turned to the dark side then and not even their mother could control them.

At some point, Aaron had some trouble and it looked like their mother’s brother Frank betrayed the boys and he barely got away before the police could capture him.

Randall was the real one that betrayed them but he put the blame on Frank.

So one night Aaron hit his uncle’s place.

He slit Frank’s throat then set a fire to burn his house down to hide his murder.

But it was Randall’s fuck up that almost got them caught and Aaron never knew it.

I wonder how Aaron is going to take that news? ”

Sergi nodded at Bane and smiled faintly. “I believe the truth should come out at some point.”

“I agree, he should know who really betrayed them all finally,” Bane stated his point. “I mean why not? They are caught now and certain things should come to light before they die. It is only just and fair.”

Sergi stood and looked at Bane. “I also think his brothers should know Aaron’s secrets as well. I mean they followed him all this time, they should follow him all the way to hell.”

Bane Bastian and Sergi and Yuri all headed into the cell area. They stopped in front of the cell where the three brothers were behind the bars.

Bane motioned to Bastian. “Just to catch you up on this meeting I shall describe these men.”

Bastain stepped over closer.

Bane pointed at one of the men. “Aaron here is the one with the brains but he’s just too afraid to face anyone without his brothers hiding in the shadows.

Brent here...” He pointed at another man.

“He might be considered the bravest of them as he will take chances and he will go hunting for enemies, but he is no hero. He is a killer...period.” Bane moved his pointer finger over.

“Randal here is the shifty brother. The kind that you can never trust. The one who will come up behind you to stab you in the back. Even if he could have faced you and done the deed. Then there’s good ole LaDonna and you know about her already I believe.

” He motioned to her wheelchair. “Fake everything. Fake paraplegic. Fake persona. Faked being the Bratva organization of New Orleans as she squeezed all the crime groups here for payoffs.”

“Damn, what a bunch of winners.” Bastian smirked.

The group in the cells all glared or grunted. Randal and Brent actually growled.

“The truth hurts, doesn’t it gentlemen? And lady...

unless that isn’t real either?” Sergi asked her in disgust. “See... if any of you arrived at the pearly gates I am sure someone would step up and explain to God about how many people you killed or hurt. How many times people bled for each dollar you made. Do you think any of that is untrue?”

The room went silent.

“I thought not.” Sergi nodded. “You would be sent to hell immediately.”

Bane stared at Aaron for a long moment. “WILL be sent. Not would.”

Aaron sneered and asked, “What the hell do you think is gonna happen to you, huh? You are a fucking hitman.”

Bane smirked. “Oh, I have faced that already and made my peace with it. That is the difference between you and I. You live in fiction. I live in fact. In addition, you are a liar, a thief and a moron all rolled into one loser. And I am not.” He glanced at Sergi and Yuri as he grinned. “Sound about right?”

Yuri nodded at him as he chuckled. “Da, that about covers it.”

Aaron looked puzzled as he asked Bane, “Who the hell are you to call me all of that?”

“Tell me Aaron, who are you today?” Bane asked him.

“I am only one person and since you know my name, why would you ask me that?” Aaron stared at him.

Bane could see Arron sweating just a little, so he asked, “Is that really how you want to play this?”

Aaron frowned but didn’t say anything.

Bane looked over at the cell LaDonna was in and found that she was very interested in this discussion.

He looked back at Aaron and told him, “She thinks you are me and she’s been paying you for protection, but you aren’t Bane Jessin, I am.

And I would never agree to protect a woman like her.

And you knew that. Tell me something Aaron, how much money did she send you for protection that she never got? ”

Aaron growled but didn’t say a word.

LaDonna looked stunned but when he didn’t say anything, she screamed at Aaron, “You mean you pretended to be Bane Jessin? Then your protection wasn’t even real?” She went on the bitch at him...she wanted her money back and when she notified some people of this betrayal, he would be dead soon.

Aaron ignored her and so did Bane but she kept yelling at them both for some time.

Bastian actually laughed at this point. “She’s mad that he impersonated people while she impersonated people!”

Sergi, Bane and Bastain... all laughed now.

“Damn, you just couldn’t make this shit up, if you tried,” Yuri added.
