CHAPTER 6

*~* Molly *~*

Today I’ve heard the men around here are having church.

I never thought they’d be religious, but each to their own.

I smirk to myself because how do you envision all these tough men on their knees praying.

It would be one heck of a sight, and I wonder if they’d look like those images we see of knights of old down on one knee. I’d love to see it, I have to admit.

“I have a lot to do today, Molly. I’ll catch up as soon as I can. I’ve told Bull to inform me if your stepsister's phone turns back on,” Breaker informs me as he appears from nowhere, making me jump some in the process.

“Okay.” It’s all I reply because I’m going to look for her and speak to HR at the hospital in person, too. I’ll get out of here one way or another.

“Okay, I’ll catch you later.”

“Yeah,” is all I manage as I grab two pieces of toast from the plate piled high on the kitchen counter. Not sure I even want this because it’s the club girl called Pattie, and like the others you never know what they have just been doing.

Breaker gives me a considered look before turning and walking away. I take a seat at the long kitchen table and sip the coffee I just made for myself.

Breaker is tall, probably 6’2”, muscled but not overly, beard, mustache, short hair which has shaved pieces on the side giving him a sexy styled look.

He wears shades quite a bit I’ve noticed, and he doesn’t smile that much.

But when he smiles, it’s enough to have you drop your panties and get it on.

Shaking my head to clear my thoughts because I really don’t want to get mixed up with a man right now. I’ve only had two relationships, and both were disastrous, so I’m not wanting to have a redo of either of them.

Someone taking a seat beside me brings me out of my thoughts once more. Seeing it’s Bri, I give her a smile, “Morning, Bri.”

“Morning, Molly. Did you sleep alright?”

“I did thanks. I’m not great in strange places or beds, but I think I was exhausted as I slept like the dead.”

“I spoke to Marcia first thing, and she’s making sure she has her SUV so we can go into town. She’s not told Bank you are coming too, so we need to sneak you in the back. If you stay down in the footwell, the prospect on the gate won’t see you.”

Smiling at Bri, as she is looking like she’s on a covert mission of some sort. But the sparkle in her eyes and the glow on her face shows how excited she is to be doing something she shouldn’t.

“You know you could get into trouble for doing this, don’t you?”

Bri laughs. “Oh yeah. Last time I got a slapped ass, followed by a plug up somewhere we shouldn’t, followed by heavy, hard sex for twenty-four hours. If Saddle thought that was punishment, then I’ll be okay with being punished.”

Now, I must look shocked and have my mouth gaping because Bri laughs, places a finger under my chin to close my mouth before laughing some more.

“Come on, Molly. These are bikers we’re talking about.

They wouldn’t hurt a woman, but we get punished as I told you before.

It’s about respect. To go against what we’ve been told is disrespectful, and our old man is expected to punish us.

Well, I’m telling you, I can handle Saddle’s punishment just fine. ”

“Bri, I don’t want to know. I cannot imagine a plug up…nope, not even thinking about it. To me that is an exit only place on my body.”

Bri throws her head back, laughing hard. Marcia appears and cocks a questioning eyebrow, to which of course, Bri responds, “Our new friend here isn’t into anal sex. It’ll be interesting to see what punishment she gets from Breaker. He’s responsible for her, after all.”

Marcia grins and winks at me, but I frown as I stand to take my mug to the sink.

“You are both crazy if you think I’m going to have anybody shove something up my ass.

” I hand the mug to Pattie, who must have overheard the conversation and is smiling at me, but it’s a highly amused smile which has me doing something childish.

I stick my tongue out at Pattie, then Bri and Marcia, but all three bust out laughing again.

I exit the darn kitchen and scuttle back to my room, where I’m going to freshen up and get ready for the great escape.

An hour later, I’m climbing onto the back seat of the SUV from the footwell, as we have now escaped the compound, and far enough away that I’ll not be seen.

“Well, that was easy,” Bri smirks.

Marcia laughs. “It was, but it won’t take long before Bull knows where we are, so let's get moving.”

“Nothing from my evil stepsister. She’s still got her phone switched off. Probably because she knows I’m gonna kill her when I catch up with her. Shall we show her face around and see if people know where she is?” I ask, while flicking through the few pictures I have of her on my phone.

“We can do that in a few stores, and how about Goldie’s Café?” Bri looks over her shoulder from the front passenger seat to me.

Shrugging as I don’t know Goldie’s Café. “Well, if you think she may have seen something, why not?”

We show Carrie-Anne’s picture to a few shops, but although some recognize her, they have not seen her lately. Goldie however, is not happy. I sit quietly, listening to the conversation, not able to get a word in sideways.

Bri is leaning forward in her seat. “Do you know where she is staying?”

Goldie takes a seat at our table. “No, but I have heard she is coming into town in a black van. I reckon she’s living in the van, but why she’s hanging around here if bikers are after her I don’t know.”

Marcia snorts. “I bet the back of that van stinks. Have you seen her lately? I had seen her probably three months back, and she looks like shit, so I can’t imagine how fucked up she looks now.”

“Last I heard she had stolen money from the Broken Cobras MC. I’ve also heard how disgusting they are. Says it all when they call the president Para.” Goldie turns her nose up.

“What’s wrong with Para?” I stupidly ask.

Goldie scowls, “It’s short for Parasite.”

“Oh!” I was thinking parachute, paraglider, or something along those lines, but parasite, geez!

“I’ll let you know when she rears her head again. She’s maybe moved toward Eastridge, but if I were her, I’d get out of state.” I watch as Goldie heads back behind the counter and continues working.

Deciding this is a dead end for now at least, we head over to the hospital where I’d been fortunate enough to get a job.

When they knew I lived in Jacksonville, I was surprised they’d take me on because of the commute.

But I had proven them right to employ me as I was always on time, and never had a day off sick.

I’ve worked for them for nine months and am out of my six month probation period.

Walking into HR, I spot the HR Manager immediately. Stepping up to her office door, I knock and walk inside, uninvited I might add. I can feel my temper rising when I see the sour face she gives me.

“Good morning, Mrs. Grosvenor.”

Before I can say more, she responds. “Good morning, Miss Brookes. What can I do for you?”

“You know why I am here. You need to reinstate me immediately, or I will make sure this becomes an issue for the hospital. Before you start with all the bullshit let’s talk about being kidnapped, and not able to call your job and say you cannot show up, shall we?

” I am letting my attitude out, which probably isn’t helping my case, but if she thinks I’m going to bow down and let this go she has another think coming.

“Miss Brookes, you broke your contract when you had missed turning up for work. With no call or contact, we have no choice but to terminate your employment.”

Sour faced bitch has no intention of reinstating me, and I can see it written all over her. “Is that your last decision on this?”

Mrs. Grosvenor sighs, “Yes, I’m sorry but that is my decision.”

“Okay.” I walk out of the office, and march right downstairs where Bri and Marcia are waiting for me. “Come on, ladies, we have work to do.”

Marcia and Bri grin as they follow me to the craft store where I speak to the manager about my predicament and what I need. Alicia the manager smiles, and shows me to a corner of the shop where Marcia, Bri, Alicia and I get to work.

Ninety minutes later, Marcia, Bri and I have placards in our hands, held over our heads, which reads, ‘Fired after being kidnapped!’ Now, I have to say this is gaining a lot of attention, and the hospital staff are watching from the main doors, but staying far enough back to not get involved.

People are mumbling, discussing with us each time we stop pacing about why we are protesting. The mayor’s wife, Mrs. Whitethorn, introduces herself, and I explain why we are protesting. She looks scandalized, but not as upset and annoyed as I am.

“Leave this with me, Molly,” Mrs. Whitethorn states, after we have introduced ourselves properly. “I’ll speak to Mr. Whitethorn about this. It’s despicable and beyond unethical.”

Watching Mrs. Whitethorn storm away, I give Bri a look. But why is she looking like that? She has nerves, and some anticipation crossing her face. Following her gaze, I sigh. Saddle is here for her, and we all know what punishment she is going to get.

Marcia is looking a little more nervous as Bank steps forward, giving her an eyebrow lift and a half-smirk. “Shit!” I hear Marcia mumble under her breath.

I’m thinking I’m home and dry until Whack, Cannon and Zion all step forward giving me a serious look. I blink a few times with nerves, but stand my ground the best I can.

“Molly, you are in deep shit,” Zion smirks. “I can’t wait to see what punishment Breaker has for you when he gets back.”

I thought they were having church? Maybe that’s over and Breaker has gone to work. I’m not sure what the hell he does, but not sure I want to know either.

“He has no right to think about punishing me, in any way, shape, or form. I’m not his woman, or any other person's woman.” Yeah, you know I’m trying to be brave, but the sick smirk Whack has on his face stops me from saying more.

Whack turns heading back to his bike, but says, “Get her back to the clubhouse.” As he does Cannon and Zion step forward taking the placards and my arm and lead me to a van they have parked nearby.

Back at the clubhouse I’m told if I leave again without permission, Whack or Cannon will give out the punishment, and it will be harsher than any Breaker will give.

Sighing, all I can do is wait for Breaker to turn up and see what this punishment is going to be. But I’m hungry so I’m going to get something to eat before I head to my room and rest for a while.

While making a sandwich one of the club girls named Mella walks in. I’m wondering if her name is Mella because it’s short for melodrama? Seems it’s all these club girls do, you know, cause untold drama.

“So, you’ve been here all of three days and already causing shit for Breaker,” said snidely, but I don’t react, as I don’t care what she says. “You’re ignorant too. Nothing to say for yourself?”

“Not interested in what you think, or say, so take a walk,” I eventually respond.

That seems to upset her, as she throws her hands onto her hips, giving me as much attitude as she can. “My BFF is Floss, and you already have gotten her into trouble. So, why don’t you fuck off and disappear because nobody wants you around here.”

“Again, I’m not interested in what you say. If Floss is your BFF, it says a lot about you!” I’m staying calm, but inside my gut is boiling.

A screech takes me by surprise and as I turn Mella is on me, clawing at my face, and trying to pull my hair.

Well, that’s not going to fly! I duck the hand that tries to grab me and I throw out a punch which catches her on the cheek.

Another screech and she tries to slap me, but I duck and spin throwing my elbow in her face, right before grabbing a handful of her hair.

By this time, some of the brothers have appeared and instead of stopping the fight they are smirking and leaning against the wall. I hear one say, “Nothing better than a bitch fight, but Breaker’s woman is something else. She has real moves.”

I stand looking at the huge handful of hair I’m holding.

Extensions, lots and lots of extensions, which have come out as I’ve grabbed Mella’s hair.

“Oh, yuck!!” I state loudly as I throw the hair on the floor.

“For goodness' sake, that is just nasty.” But looking up I can see the stricken look on Mella’s face as she’s standing with a huge bald patch on her head.

No, don’t laugh, no, no, don’t do it…but the laugh comes anyway, as I rush to the sink to wash my hands.

The other club girls have arrived and are consoling Mella as they take her away.

Pattie looks over at me and winks. She is the nice one out of the bunch and she obviously thinks Mella got what was coming.

“Trouble, go to your room and stay there,” Cannon states, but I can see he is amused by what’s gone on. I give him a nod as I huff, leave my sandwich, and head back to my room. This has been a hell of a day and it’s only two in the afternoon!
