CHAPTER 5

*~* Breaker *~*

We ride through the town of Eastridge, two abreast, showing no sign of hurrying.

Locals to the area stop and watch us pass, some showing nervousness and others a sign of relief.

Now, that last is interesting, and has me wondering what has been going on, that these people are relieved to see us here.

Pulling up and parking our hogs outside what has to be a local diner, we take our helmets off and leave them on the seat or handlebars. I turn to Smoker and see he’s finished his phone conversation with Bull.

Smoker signals for us all to follow him as he throws out. “Let’s eat and keep our eye on the people who come in and out.”

Vortex, Fury, Hellion, Paxton, and I follow Smoker into the diner. Taking a seat near the back where we can watch everyone as we eat.

A server walks over and I can’t help the smirk as she’s obviously opened extra buttons on her uniform, giving us a view of her ample tits.

I’m not interested, but I see Hellion could be up for it, as he’s giving her tits a good look over.

What I don’t expect is what he says. “You always got your tits out for everyone to see? It’s whorish don’t you think? ”

We all chuckle because, let's be honest, it is not something an honest to goodness wholehearted woman would do. We have all had enough of quick up the wall sex, and during our last conversation we all admitted we’d be okay if we found a woman to claim.

Gasping in shock at Hellion’s comment the woman turns and rushes away. I look at Hellion and he shrugs. “I’m sick of being hit on by desperate women. We have had far too many in and out of our beds. If we were a woman would we want a man that has dipped his cock in every whore he came across?”

Now, he is shocking me even more with his last comment, but Fury chuckles, which is a deep, rumbling sound. “Fuckin’ hell, Hellion, you gone all soft or what?” Fury says before laughing some more.

“Christ man, I’m twenty-nine, and have probably had that many women, too.

I’m seeing Bri and Marcia at the clubhouse, and sometimes if you watch them, you see the hurt and worry when their man is talking to a whore.

You can see the way they are wondering if their man has fucked them.

If it was the opposite, we would call them whores and not want to have them as an old lady, or even as a side piece.

It’s fucking hypocritical is what it is.

” Hellion leans back in his seat before sticking two fingers in his mouth and letting a loud whistle fly.

“Anyone going to take our order or do we help ourselves?”

Another woman rushes over, notepad and pen in her hand. “I’m sorry. I thought Della was serving you. What can I get for y’all?”

Now, this one is around twenty-four I would guess.

She’s well covered tits wise, and not trying to gain the attention of one of us.

She genuinely is just wanting to do her job.

Nice, real nice, and as I look at Hellion, he has an interested look on his face.

Awe fuck, we’ll have to make sure he does nothing stupid.

After taking our orders the woman, whose name tag said ‘Flick’ dashes away. “She’s a nice one,” Vortex states and looks at Hellion with a quirked eyebrow.

“Fuck off, anyone can look,” Hellion broodily responds, which has us all chuckling at him.

The orders don’t take that long to appear, and Flick is polite, showing no signs of flirting with any of us. She just hands us our meals, refills our mugs, and makes sure we have all we need before leaving us alone.

Halfway through the meal Flick returns, “Everything okay? Anything you need? Top up?” Holding the coffee jug up for us to give her a nod, or at least a response.

Paxton takes Flick’s arm and pulls her gently, but with enough force to cause her to take the seat beside him. Speaking gently, so not to spook her. “Can you say if you have seen Broken Cobra brothers in town?”

Flick’s eyes are on him when he speaks, and they broaden in shock.

Then she looks from one to the other of us before looking over to the counter where the skanky server is watching.

It’s easy to see the question has made her nervous.

Then she must decide to respond as she flicks her eyes from the other server, throws out a bright smile, laughs, then lowers her voice.

“Yes, around town, frightening women.” Laughing again, then once more lowering her voice.

“Try walking down the sidewalk, three shops, then turn left. You’ll see. ”

Fury laughs, but I can see he has his eyes on the other server who is now taking notice. Standing, he saunters over and starts talking to the woman before grabbing her hand, and dragging her out of the main dining area toward the restroom.

“How many have you seen?” Vortex asks Flick.

“About six. They are hanging around where I just told you. The woman who your friend just took away has been seeing one. But I think he’s only seeing her as she’s a gossip.

But they are mean and nasty. I’ve seen two families leave for the summer.

Well, that’s what they said. We’ll have to wait and see if they come back.

” Flick keeps watching the corridor and the main door.

“Have they hurt anyone? Taken anyone who didn’t want to go with them?” Smoker asks, leaning forward as we all wait for her reply.

“You mean women?” Flick looks at me, then Smoker. “Not that I know of. I’ve not heard of anyone going missing.”

Smoker nods, “That’s good to know. We’ll look around, but if you are in trouble and you see one of us from the Bitter Slayers MC, they will help you.”

“Okay,” Flick looks up and gathers empty plates from the table and as she moves away Paxton stops her. “If you need help, call us,” handing her a card with the clubhouse number on.

Flick finishes clearing the table as Fury walks out with the skank behind him. She’s trying to tidy her clothing, whereas he doesn’t look any different. We all stand ready to head out, but smirk when he states loud enough for us all to hear. “Someone had to take one for the team!”

Walking the sidewalk as Flick had advised, we reach the area she had indicated.

Slinking into the shadows, we wait, and it doesn’t take long for two Cobras to turn up.

Looking like they don’t have a care in the world as they laugh and joke with each other.

One must sense something is not right as he comes to a stop, looking carefully around the area.

He spots Smoker who is the nearest to them, and before we even move he turns and bolts, screaming for his brother to run too.

No chance of the fuckers escaping. We are on them before they can get away.

Vortex has one hand around the neck of the first one, who spotted Smoker, but unfortunately for him he didn’t notice Vortex and Fury behind him.

Vortex slams a hand over the fucker's mouth so he can’t shout out anything else.

Fury calmly holds out a syringe and jabs it into the man's arm, rendering him unconscious in seconds.

The other is being restrained by Hellion and Paxton, right before Fury steps up and injects that one.

This is going to be fun I’m thinking. I rub my hands together as I chuckle.

“Who is going to call for a van?” I raise an eyebrow at Smoker who smirks as he takes out his mobile phone to make the call.

We all settle down and discuss any shit we feel like while we wait for the van to arrive. When the van turns up I’m surprised to see Neil one of our prospects driving, but Riddle is sitting next to him in the passenger seat, head back and snoring.

Neil jumps out of the driver’s side of the van and slides open the side door.

“Everything’s ready,” is all he states, and we throw the two fuckers inside the van, and handcuff them to the metal rod embedded in the center of the van’s floor.

They’ll not be causing any trouble on the way back to the compound, I’m sure.

But Riddle wakes, gives us all a nod as he climbs into the back of the van and lays down on the bench seat, but he is facing the two assholes, so I suppose that’s good enough.

“Well, we’ve got those two. How do you all feel about having a ride to Stirlingsville?” Smoker asks.

Hellion smirks. “Not sure Pres will like us going back there, but fuck I’m up for it. The Cobras are not that big of an MC, so the more we chip off the less to take out in the end. We could check out how your barber friend is, Breaker?”

“I wouldn’t mind doing that. He stuck his neck out for us although he had no reason to.

He never asked for anything either. I’d like to think he is okay and they didn’t find out he helped us.

” I turn to my old hog and straddle her, placing my helmet on and making sure I was connected so we can all stay in touch as an ‘in case,’ of trouble.

“Come on, let’s stir shit in Stirlingsville. Cobras should be around at this time of day. One town over isn’t good for these townsfolk, but if they want to keep Cobras out, they need to stand their ground now,” Paxton states as he climbs on his hog.

We ride over to Stirlingsville, making sure we make a noisy entrance to town. People scurry into the nearest shop, or home, and it’s more than obvious us being here has scared the shit out of everyone.

Pulling up outside the barber’s shop, I’m feeling rage rising. The large glass windows are smashed, the door is hanging on by only its hinges, and the stench is vile.

Pulling my bandana up over my mouth I enter, and everywhere is trashed. Not a single thing left that Andy could use. “ANDY!” I shout as I head to the stairs. “ANDY, IT’S brEAKER, WHERE ARE YOU?”

As I reach the top of the stairs, I see the door ajar, and I quickly push it open to find Andy laying on a broken sofa beaten to hell. “Andy, fuck!” I rush to him and squat to his level. “Cobras, do this to you?”

Andy nods. “Yeah, someone told them they saw you coming out of here. So, of course, I was made an example of. But fuck them all. I’m done with this town.”

Turning, I see Hellion speaking on his phone and hear Pres’ name. He’s reporting what we are doing, and what we’ve found I’m sure. Quickly closing the call, Hellion looks at me, then at Andy. “Come with us, pack what you need and let's get you out of here. Do you have a vehicle?”

“I have a truck, beat up, but works,” Andy has a black eye, swollen jaw and by the way he’s holding his ribs he is bruised to shit, or he has something cracked or broken.

Fury steps closer. “Do you own this place?”

Andy limps as he works his way to the bedroom. “No, I rent it, but they can take a hike if they think I’m having fuck all to do with any of this mess.”

It doesn’t take us too long to get what Andy wants to take with him.

We see Cobras at a distance, and they are watching but staying out of reach.

Yeah, the fuckers know they don’t stand a chance.

Fucking shame this Fink asshole isn’t here with my hog because I’d soon get her back and leave him dead as he should be.

Riding through the town, we make a show of leaving, waving, sounding horns, and revving engines as we know Cobras are skulking behind doors.

Let them see we are not scared of them, and they are not going to intimidate us.

Andy is following Smoker and Paxton. Vortex and I are behind his vehicle.

Fury and Hellion are at the back, and they are hoping one of the Cobras will cause shit, as they are itching to get into something.

Riding out of Stirlingsville, we enter Eastridge, and all is peaceful. The aura of the town is much calmer, and people are going about their business showing no signs of stress.

It’s not too long before we enter Springfield and get waves from people in main street. We are well known, and although we are a little on the rough side, we are well liked in town.
