Chapter 22
RAELYNN
Raelynn’s shoulders sagged as Daddy came into view. Everything was going to be okay now.
“Is anyone going to talk?” Daddy asked. “Who dared to call my girl precious?”
Reaper shook his head and stood up.
“Daddy,” she mumbled.
“We were just telling her that she didn’t need to hide away from us. That she is part of this family, and we are going to treat her like a member,” Reaper said.
“Well, a female member. Not an actual member of the Springfield Sinners because you can’t know the details of what we do,” Hawk said.
“Hawk, I think everyone understands that without you having to explain it,” Levi said, shaking his head.
“I just didn’t know whether Butch explained it. We just don’t tell our women the operations. Not that we don’t trust you, but we don’t want you to get tangled up in things,” Hawk continued.
“Levi.” Daddy sighed.
“I’ll go check on the club,” Hawk said before anyone else could mention anything.
“Is he okay?” Raelynn whispered to Reaper.
He nodded. “He is. He just likes to overexplain some things. He likes to be very clear about things, so there isn’t any miscommunication. That’s how he lost his girl.”
Rae’s heart broke for Hawk.
“No one calls my girl precious but me. She’s mine,” Daddy announced. “Now that’s settled, you can go back to what you were doing before.”
Daddy walked over to Rae and sat next to her. Her eyes were already on him, and she felt a lot calmer than she had before.
“Are you okay?” Daddy asked.
“I am.”
“Don’t lie to me. That’s how you land yourself with a hot bottom,” Reaper replied before walking off.
“Meanie,” she said and stuck her tongue out at his back. “He should know it’s rude to tattle on people.”
Daddy raised his right eyebrow. “Do you want to tell me why you’re lying to me? What happened while I was gone?”
She sighed. “It wasn’t anything serious. I just got a little overwhelmed and wanted to hide, but Reaper wouldn’t let me. Instead, he got everyone to quiet down and made a big thing about it.”
“Was that the yelling I heard?” Daddy asked.
“Yes.” She nodded. “He got people to quiet down, so it didn’t overwhelm me as much or make my head hurt. I could hear everyone, but at the same time I couldn’t, with how loud it was.”
It was so hard to explain how it.
“Hmm, I’ll have to make sure to let everyone know to keep it down from now on,” Daddy gruffed.
She grabbed onto his hands. “No, you don’t have to do that. I don’t want anyone changing because of me. I just need to learn to get used to it or not put myself in those situations.”
Daddy shook his head. “No. We are all learning about this. It’s important. They made accommodations for Echo when she arrived, so they can be considerate of you and not be too loud.”
She remembered Echo telling her about not liking to be touched by people except her Daddy. It made her skin crawl. Everyone had been so careful about not touching her, making sure they never got close to her.
“I don’t want to be a bother,” she mumbled.
Daddy shook her hands off his and cupped her face before she could say anything.
“You will never be a bother. I know the guys care about you and want to know if there's anything they can do to help you feel more comfortable around them. And they wouldn’t want you to feel like you are a bother, either, because I can promise you that they don’t think that and never will. ”
Raelynn didn’t know what to think about that. Everyone always thought she had been a burden… besides Daddy. So it was weird to have a big group tell her they never would.
“How did the meeting go with Deccan and Ace?” she asked. “Did you find out where he is?”
“I’m not going to tell you anything,” Daddy replied.
“Why?”
“Because I don’t want you worry about it.”
She pulled his hands off her face. “I’m going to be worried if you don’t tell me. I’m already worried that he’s going to barge into this room, shooting everyone down, before snatching me away. I’ll be better knowing than not.”
“I don’t know.”
“Please,” she begged. “Please tell me. I need to know. I need this. I can’t be left in the dark. Edmund left me in the dark all the time.”
Daddy growled. “I don’t want to hear his name come from your lips. He doesn’t deserve that.”
Raelynn brought Daddy’s hand to her mouth and kissed his inner wrist. “Daddy, don’t change the subject. I won’t say his name again, but please, talk to me and tell me what’s going on. Have you located him? What are you going to do with him? How are you going to get him before he comes and gets me?”
There were so many questions running through her head. She wanted to know every single detail. She wanted to know how this was going to go down and whether they were going to survive it.
“Are you sure you want to know?” he asked.
She nodded. “I do. Maybe not all the details on what you’re going to do with him if you find him, but I want to know what is going on.”
“We haven’t located him. He went off grid about a week ago, and no one knows where he is.
But before you panic, it’s not the end of the world.
We have two amazing people trying to track him now.
One of them has connections all over the world, probably greater than what Edmund has.
We are going to make him pay for what he did to you,” Daddy said.
“I’ll update you on things, but if I notice it starts to affect your health, I’m going to stop. ”
“Daddy,” she whined.
“Nope, that’s not going to work with me. Your health comes first,” he said, not leaving any room for arguments.
“That’s no fair.” She pushed her bottom lip out.
“We’ve been over this. You mean the world to me and you getting sick won’t do. I want you thriving, living life to the fullest,” Daddy told her.
“I want that too, but right now it may not be possible. I just don’t want to be left in the dark and something major be happening,@ she whispered.
“You know what I think?” Daddy asked.
“What?”
“I think you need to spend some time in Little space. To let Daddy take care of everything. What do you think?”
Raelynn rubbed her hands together and thought about it.
“I don’t know,” she mumbled and looked around.
They were still in the clubhouse, and she was worried. What would other people think? Would they say things behind and make it difficult for Daddy?
“I don’t think I should,” she said.
“Why’s that?” Daddy asked.
Her gaze roamed around the room quickly before settling back on Daddy. They were alone now, but at any moment, someone could walk back into the room and stumble across them. She didn’t want Daddy to be put in that position.
“Little Fairy, tell Daddy what you’re thinking,” he gently said. “No one else is going to hear you but me. I want to know what’s going on through your head and why you are so hesitant on going into Little space.”
Her gaze moved to the entrances and exits, to see whether anyone was going to appear before returning to Daddy.
“Come on, Little Fairy. Daddy isn’t going to get mad at you,” Daddy coaxed.
“I’m worried what other people will think,” she whispered. “I’m worried they are going to give you a hard time when they find out that I’m a Little. I don’t want you to have to go through that. So we can just pretend that I’m not a Little while we are here.”
It would kill her to push down her Little, but if it was for the sake of Daddy, she was willing to do it. Rae was just happy he still wanted to be with her after everything had happened.
“Do you want to know a secret?” Daddy asked.
“Daddy,” she mumbled. “It’s not going to hurt me. We’ll be going other places to stay, right? We won’t always be here. Right?” she hesitantly asked.
Oh, she hoped they weren’t going to live here for the rest of their lives. As much as she liked the people here, she also knew she was going to need to let her Little out, and she wouldn’t be able to do it here. Maybe they could do it in his room for a while each week when they were on their own.
“We are all Daddies,” Reaper announced as he walked into the room. “Your Daddy was going to tell you that each of us in the Springfield Sinners are Daddies. Some don’t believe they are, but we all are in our own way.”
Her mouth hung open as several other men walked in after Reaper, all nodding.
“Way to scare her,” Daddy grumbled. “I had this.”
“You did, but I figured she might believe us more if we came out and said it ourselves. None of us want her to be uncomfortable,” Reaper said.
“Don’t you think you might be making her uncomfortable by walking in like that when they were having a private conversation?
Now she knows you were listening in on their conversation,” Xavier said.
“It’s nice to meet you again, Raelynn. I hope the next time we see each other is under better circumstances. ”
“I’m Razor, another member of the Springfield Sinners. I promise I wasn’t listening in. I just got here and saw them huddled in the hallway. I need to get to the fridge to get something to drink before I leave,” Razor said.
“To go see your not-girl?” Brick asked. “How many times have you gone to that coffee shop?”
“Shut it,” Razor growled.
“He’s just like Levi and Gears. They all have women they want to be with, but they won’t tell them and so they are still single,” Reaper said.
“It’s better to just let them be so they don’t walk away from their Littles.
Maybe if we leave them alone about this, they’ll actually confess their feelings to the girls. ”
Razor grabbed the water bottle and stalked out of the building, glaring at everyone.
“Now, back to the previous conversation. You being Little here isn’t going to bother us.
Echo is a Little, and her friends are ass well.
They come and visit us when they want to see her,” Reaper pointed out.
“So, be Little if that’s what you want. You’ve got a ton of uncles here who want to spoil you rotten. Remember that.”
Her cheeks turned pink, and she looked down at the ground.
“I love spoiling people,” Brick said.
“But too much will lead them to becoming brats and we don’t want that so keep it to a minimum,” Xavier said.
“See, Little Fairy. Everything is going to be all right. You can be Little,” Daddy gently said.
“I bought you a weighted blanket that is super soft. I figured your Daddy could swaddle you in it or whenever you want to take a nap you can lie it over you, and it’ll feel like your Daddy is holding you,” Brick offered.
“But if you don’t like it and want one that’s not weighted, then I can return it and get it for you.
I just know you like being in your Daddy’s arms and wanted something that would also be the same. ”
“How did you know?” she asked.
“Your Daddy told me, but I have been observing you both. Or, well, I didn’t know exactly whether it was you or your Daddy liking it, but I figured if you didn’t like it, you were going to be making a fuss about always being in his arms or near him,” Brick rambled.
“What do you say?” Daddy gave her a pointed look.
“Thank you,” she whispered.
“I’ll go get it, and then you can be Little,” he announced and left the room.
