Chapter Three
Camila was talking to Kayden, the ranch manager, about a horse when her sisters drove up.
Oh, God. They were the last people she ever wanted to see again. Seeing them in person made her feel small and broken, even though she had known they were coming.
They got out of the car and looked around with wide eyes before walking up to her.
Penelope looked Kayden up and down and then grimaced. “So, is this the sucker that married you?”
Kayden stiffened and turned back to her. “If there is nothing else, Miss Camila, I’ll get back to work.”
“No, that’s all, Kayden. Thank you for the update.” She watched him walk away, then took a breath before she turned to her sisters. “How was the flight?”
Aubrey nodded. “Good. So, if that’s not your husband, where is the idiot who married our younger sister?”
Before she could say anything, the front door opened, and Drake walked out straight to her. He wrapped his arm around her like he always did, but this time it was a bit tighter.
Camila almost smiled at the shock and wonder on her sisters’ faces.
She knew she’d get some reaction when they saw him because he was 6 feet 4 inches tall, very muscular, with dark hair and tanned skin.
His eyes were what caught her attention first when they met, as they were light blue.
But the looks on their faces told her they didn’t expect to meet a man who could easily be on the cover of a GQ Magazine.
Camila introduced them, and she was glad that Drake hadn’t tried to shake their hands.
They talked for a bit before Drake led them inside.
He had one of the maids take them to their room, and she was glad to have a few minutes' space between them. She was shocked when Drake pulled her into a room and fucked her mindless in the quickest time they’d ever had.
She leaned against him as she caught her breath and could feel his cum slide down her thighs. She had just smiled when her dom had forbidden her to clean herself. He did that a lot, and it never bothered her.
When they met up with her sisters in the hallway, Camila could tell they’d shocked her sisters again and was pleased.
Camila took a deep breath before walking into the office and closing the door behind her. “Have a seat,” she said, and pointed at two chairs on the other side of the large desk where she would sit.
She rested her arms on the top of the desk, trying to look as relaxed as she could. “Can you show me the papers and where you’d like me to sign?”
Aubrey and Penelope stared at her, unmoving.
“What’s the problem?” Camila asked.
Penelope waved her arm. “This. How in the hell did you manage to get all of this?”
“All of what?” Camila asked. She knew they would comment on everything and was ready for it.
“The mansion, the servants, and your husband. Jesus, he’s 100% pure man.”
Camila gritted her teeth. “It’s a long story, and I’d rather get into what you came for.”
She could tell that pissed them off, but she didn’t care.
Aubrey pulled some papers from a briefcase and slid them over to her.
Camila glanced over them.
“No need to do that, little sister,” Penelope said. “Just sign by the red arrows.”
Camila glanced up at them. “No. I want to go over these before I sign.”
Aubrey rolled her eyes. “You’re not going to understand any of it. Just sign.”
“Not yet,” Camila said.
Penelope sat forward. “This is a family business, so it wouldn’t be a good idea to let anyone else see them.”
“I might understand some of it. I graduated at the top of my class in high school, and I do have a college degree, remember?” she reminded them.
Their faces tightened. Camila knew it pissed them off that she’d gone on to make something of herself and was smart enough to finish college when they had barely made it through high school.
“How long are you two planning on staying?”
The women glanced at each other.
“We thought it would only be overnight, but we decided to stay longer to catch up with you,” Aubrey said.
Camila almost rolled her eyes. “Really? Why””
“Well, we’d like to look around the place and get to know your husband better,” Penelope said with a smug smile.
Camila stiffened. “He’s a very busy man. You probably won’t see him very much.”
“But doesn’t he want to get to know us?” Penelope asked.
“For what purpose?”
Aubrey snorted. “Jesus, are you still sore about everything?”
“You mean the horrible things you did to me, both physically and emotionally?” Camila asked through gritted teeth. “And I’m not talking about my last visit home.”
“Oh, for God’s sake,” Penelope spat out. “We were children before.”
“You knew exactly what you were doing and knew it was hurting me, but you loved it. There was no remorse from you or our parents, who encouraged it.”
“We wanted to toughen you up,” Aubrey said.
“Bullshit,” Camila said. “Nothing you did was for my benefit, you just enjoyed abusing someone smaller than you. Besides, how is tying your sister to the bed and sticking her with pins until Mom called us down for dinner helping me? And that wasn’t even the worst.”
Aubrey shrugged. “Maybe you should have been tougher.”
“Penelope is five years older, and you’re four years older than me, besides the fact that I’m half your size.”
Penelope chuckled. “I wouldn’t go that far, sister. I still see you’ve not been able to get rid of the fat.”
That would have hurt her if she hadn’t known how much her husband desired her. Before she opened her mouth, there was a knock on the door.
“Come in,” Camila called out.
Shana walked into the room, and Camila could tell she was angry about something.
“What do you need, Shana?”
“Nothing, Miss Camila. I just wanted you to know that Lucia has set some refreshments out on the back patio for you three.”
Camila exhaled and stood. “Thank you, Shana.” She turned to her sisters. “Let’s go out back. It’s very beautiful.”
She could tell her sisters weren’t happy, but she didn’t care. They stood and headed for the door before Camila stuck the papers into a secret compartment in the desk. There is no way they’d be able to find them if they tried.
She followed them, and as she stepped outside, she inhaled. The back of the house was so pretty with a million different flowers that she’d help plant.
She could tell that with each passing minute, her sisters were growing increasingly envious of her, and they hated it. Knowing them, she expected them to become meaner as the day progressed.
Luckily, she wasn’t alone this time.
