Chapter 11

ELEVEN

There is nothing that could have prepared me for this.

Reagan—gloriously naked in my bed. It’s like one of those ambiguous images.

At first you see a wine glass, but if you squint or flip it upside down, then eventually you see there are two people kissing.

Once you see both, you can’t unsee them.

And I’m never going to be able to unsee this version of Reagan.

Lips pink and wet, chest heaving with excitement. So, so naked. Fuuuuck.

“You’re beautiful.” I brush her hair back away from her neck and can feel her pulse under my thumb.

As I push inside of her for the second time in an hour, I can’t believe this is happening.

With Reagan. Gorgeous, shy, sweet little Reagan’s pussy is squeezing me so tight and greedy. Her nails lightly scratch down my shoulders. Her tits bounce every time I pump into her. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.

And I am entranced.

I flip us so she’s on top. “Ride me.”

She hesitates, but not for long. My hands find their way back to her tits.

I sit up so I can lick and bite each one.

Featherlight then rougher. She pushes me down onto the bed and takes over, which is absolutely fine with me.

Reagan manhandling me… yep, no complaints here.

But damn if I’m not going to get off way faster than I want.

We’ll just have to go again. I plan to see this date through to the early hours of the morning, making her come so many more times. I’m making plans for all sorts of fun.

This is not how I expected tonight to go. Honestly, my expectations were that we’d have a nice dinner, talk and get to know one another apart from the group. I don’t want to say this is better, but she’s naked so… yeah, fuck it. It’s better. There’ll be time later to talk.

When her moans get louder and her movements more frantic, I take over by gripping her hips and thrusting from below. Her skin slaps against mine, her hands at my chest squeeze until her nails prick my skin.

Only by seconds, she gets off first and it is the most amazing performance. Hair wild and face of pure bliss, Reagan having an orgasm is something I want to watch on repeat.

She starts giggling, gulping in air as she collapses on the bed next to me. “Holy crap. That was amazing.”

“Understatement of the decade.” I stare up at the ceiling, trying to catch my breath. I don’t want to move, but I need to do something about this condom.

As I sit up, noise outside of the door catches my attention. The apartment is a constant den of activity, so it isn’t surprising, but the fact that the voices are hushed and seem to be centered directly outside of my door is suspicious.

“Uhh, I think we have an audience.”

“What?” She snaps upright, and I point toward the door.

The whispers start up again, and I distinctly hear Ginny yelp, “Ouch, Mav, you stepped on my foot.”

Then there’s a round of shushing from someone or someones. I have no idea how many are out there, but I’m guessing the entire apartment is standing outside my door listening in.

“What do we do?” Reagan asks.

“Nothing. They’re the idiots with their ears pressed to the door. They’ll get bored eventually.” I kiss her and then get up to take care of the condom.

Reagan’s got the sheet wrapped around her, staring at the door when I pull out clean clothes. She’s more bothered by them than I am. I guess I was expecting it. Nothing happens in this apartment that doesn’t open itself up for public scrutiny. I love these guys, but they’re nosy as hell.

I pull on sweats, toss Reagan a shirt, and then quietly pad to the door. I wait to be sure they’re still there, but when Maverick’s deep chuckle gives them away, I swing the door open without warning.

Stepping into the doorway, I stretch out an arm to stop them from getting in and hopefully shielding Reagan from view.

“Can we help you?” I ask. I try for annoyed, but it’s been too good of a night for it to ring sincere.

Maverick, Ginny, Heath, Rhett, and even Dakota stand in a huddle with matching guilty expressions.

“Is Reagan in there?” Dakota tries to peek around me. “It’s Reagan, right? If it isn’t Reagan, then I’m going to kick your ass, Scott.”

“It’s none of your business. Get away from my door. It’s weird. Especially you,” I say to my sister.

“Just tell us if Reagan is in there,” Ginny pleads.

I don’t feel Reagan approach, but she ducks under my arm wearing the large T-shirt I gave her. It falls past her knees, and I can’t tell if she’s wearing panties, but I sure plan to find out as soon as these idiots get lost.

“Yay!” My sister squeals the loudest, but even Rhett’s got a dopey grin.

“Now, will you please step away from my bedroom door?” I go to shut it, but Maverick slaps a palm onto the open door and holds it there.

“We need details,” he says.

“No,” Reagan and I fire back at the same time.

“We deserve details.”

Mav has absolutely no boundaries, so I’m sure he truly believes that. I wrap an arm around Reagan’s waist and pull her against my hip. All our friends track the movement.

“Thanks for your interest in our sex life, but we’re not discussing it.”

“Their sex life.” Heath grins. “Implies it’s going to continue.”

Fuck yeah, it’s going to continue.

I don’t say that out loud, though. Instead, I say, “Good night. Don’t come back.”

Reagan waves and I manage to get the door closed and lock it.

“Well,” I start and run a hand through my hair. “They know we are in here together mostly naked, so we might as well make sure it’s worth the millions of questions we’re both going to get tomorrow.”

She wraps her arms around my neck, and the T-shirt rides up, giving me a glimpse of her bare ass. “It already was.”

I lift her in my arms and carry her back to bed. “I think we can do better.”

The next night, Reagan asks me to meet her at the theater after hockey practice.

I’ll admit I was hoping she was going to do some sort of sexy performance for me.

Maybe put on one of those costumes she’s worn and strut across the stage.

Okay, that makes her sound like a stripper, but they’re my dreams and I refuse to apologize for them.

I can still vividly recall her dress from the last play.

It was a deep green and had a V-neck that made her boobs look huge.

I’ve seen just about every performance she’s done since she and Dakota moved in across the breezeway from us. A private show—yeah, that sounds like a great follow-up to last night.

She sits with her books laid out in front of her, a notebook on her lap. Her hair is pulled into a low side ponytail with a black scrunchie. Black with gold stars.

“You found it.” I hop onto the stage.

“What?” She glances side to side.

“The lucky scrunchie?”

“Oh.” She reaches up and touches it and then glides her hand down to the end of her ponytail. “Yeah, I did. It was in my purse.”

I gaze out into the empty theater. “Man, I don’t know how you do it. I feel nervous just being up here thinking about what you do.”

“I love it. This is my favorite place.” There’s a reverence to her tone.

“It’s kind of creepy being in here by yourself.

” The more I think about it, the less I like the idea of her alone in this dark place with no one around.

It might be my dislike of public speaking and standing on a stage facing rows and rows of seats, but this feels like a scene straight out of a horror movie.

“Mr. Hoffman’s office is right outside, and I’m pretty sure he’d hear me scream.”

“That is not reassuring.”

“I’m fine. Besides, you’re here now.”

I pull her to her feet and kiss her. Crazy. I still can’t believe we’re kissing now. This is a thing. We kiss. A lot. And it’s fire.

“Besides making out, what did you have in mind when you invited me here?” I’m about five seconds from distracting her from whatever plans she has if they don’t include my lips on her body.

“No plan, I just went with the one place I thought we couldn’t be hammered with questions. Do you know how many texts Ginny sent me today?”

“If it’s half as many as she sent me, then I have a pretty good idea. What did you tell her?” I ask.

“Who?”

“Ginny. When she texted and asked what happened? and what does it all mean?” I change my voice to mock Ginny’s bubbly and excited tone.

“I sent a series of GIFS indicating my silence on the topic, and I’ve been hiding out here. And you?”

“I didn’t respond, which will drive her crazy. She’s probably waiting at the apartment to pounce on me when I get home.”

“That’s as good of a reason to stay as any.” Reagan presses her lips to mine and kisses me hard. Glad we’re on the same page with our plans for tonight. Kissing. Because kissing is awesome.

There’s too much adrenaline pumping through me to stay still. Attacking her mouth, I back her up, moving to one side of the stage. It’s dark, but I find a wall and pin her against it.

“I can’t seem to get close enough.” I’m flattening her against the hard concrete, and still, it isn’t enough.

I boost her up, and she wraps her legs around me.

“Any closer and we’ll be one person.” She tugs on my hair and sucks on my bottom lip.

“I forgot to ask about your day.”

“My day?” Her laughter is the best damn sound. “My day was good. How was yours?”

“Better now.”

“We’re not going to be able to hide from them forever.”

“I’m not hiding. I just want you to myself.” I bite down on her neck, and she squeals and laughs.

There’s so much I don’t know about Reagan, and I want to get to know her. I honestly do, despite the way I keep mauling her. It just seems like in order to get to know each other, we have to get some of our physical feelings out of the way. And stay the hell away from our friends.

“Hello?” a male voice calls out from the back of the audience.

“Shit,” Reagan whispers and jumps out of my arms. She smooths a hand down her hair frantically and steps out toward the middle of the stage. “It’s just me, Mr. Hoffman.”

“Reagan?”

I stay hidden, but I can see Reagan wringing her hands. Then she starts talking fast.

“Yeah, sorry, I was studying and then decided to run some lines. I guess I got a little carried away.”

“All right. I thought I heard screaming.”

I peek out from my hiding spot. Hoffman is a balding, middle-aged man. His hands are on his hips as he interrogates Reagan.

“I’m sorry. I was really getting into it.”

Yeah, she was.

“I’m about finished,” she assures him.

“Okay. I’m heading home soon. You should too.”

“I will. I promise.” Reagan glances over at me quickly. She doesn’t move until the theater door closes.

“Oh my gosh.” She walks toward me in a fit of giggles.

“Good to know you’re safe in here.”

“From everyone but you.” She hugs my waist. “Come on, let’s get out of here.”
