21. Ream

Chapter Twenty-One

REAM

“You can’t fuckin’ pop up when I’m handling business no more!” I raised my voice for the first time ever as I stared my mom in the eyes. That shit she pulled back at Mattea’s house had me beyond pissed and if she thought she could snoop around in my shit, she had shit fucked up.

“Watch your fucking tone, Christian!” She yelled back at me while slamming her laptop shut.

“Watch your conduct Ma, this is my shit! I run it how I see fit. What the fuck was you trying to prove popping up at Reaper’s house uninvited?” I hit my chest and started to pace in front of her.

“It was once my shit, and if I want to pop in and correct your mistakes, I will do as I see fit.” She shrugged and tittered like she thought shit was funny. I stopped pacing and unbuttoned my suit jacket and took a seat across from her.

“Is that what this is about? Do you want your shit back? I can give it back with no problem and take all my men and connections with me. I’ll give you your shit back exactly how I got it.

” I smiled back at her to fuck with her high-ass ego.

Deep down my mother knew that I expanded the blue diamond dynasty in ways my father and her could never imagine.

When I took over after it was passed down to me from Cease and Khaos, they were doing the same typical things.

Boring meetings every other month with the heads of different states just to have an excuse to travel.

I made the shit more upbeat and gave it a facelift and had our shit buzzing.

If I was to walk away, I was going to rebrand and take every connection I put into it.

“Don’t be fuckin’ stupid Christian. You should be thanking me instead of riding my back.

I helped you solve something that would have taken you months to figure out.

Your nose so far up that gray-eyed bitch you became blinded!

I don’t know why you didn’t kill her. I bet Solace is still breathing as well, had it been one of my associates they’d be tied the fuck up in a basement right now! ”

“What the fuck is all this yelling I’m hearing?” My father walked in with a serious look on his face making my mom clamp her lips shut.

“Nothing dad, I was just in here asking your wife if she wanted the blue diamond dynasty back since she has such a strong interest in it.” I smiled.

“All I’m saying is you need to clean up all those leaks.” She muttered, staring up at my father like she got caught up.

“Baby, go get in the bed; Christian I’ll talk to your mom.

When will you be back over to sit with pops?

” I instantly felt like shit for going back and forth with my mom.

Here I stood arguing with my her when I didn’t look too deep into why she was starting to act out again.

She stood up with sadness laced in her eyes, before she walked past me, I reached out and gave her a tight hug and kiss on the forehead.

She probably was trying to keep her mind occupied from the reality of losing her father.

Pops and moms had a tight bond, she was a true daddy’s girl and without him around she would be lost.

“Love you ma.”

“Love you too, son.” She smiled weakly and walked out of the room.

“I’ll be back through here later this week after I take care of some shit.” I turned to my dad who nodded his head and pulled me in for a quick embrace. My father never asked any questions when it came to my business because he never wanted this life for me.

“Be safe out there Christian, always stay ten steps ahead of any threat. The only way I will come out of retirement is if a piece of hair on that hard head of yours is touched. You’re my only son, I expect you to make it back to me always in one piece.

” He walked out of the room to go tend to my mom.

I hated that my family was going through so much sadness, each day that passed by the fear of losing my grandfather was on my mind.

I went up to the second floor to go check on him and stayed by the door as I watched my little sister Christina lay beside him with her arm over his stomach.

They both slept peacefully. Catching the lone teardrop that fell down my left cheek, I turned to walk away.

So much was weighing heavy on my mind. In a couple of days Solace, a nigga I looked at like a brother would be dead by the hands of me.

This was personal, I made the table for niggas to eat at and he still wasn’t satisfied.

I always expected the worse out of people, but not like this.

How could I look my god-kids in the eyes after killing their dad?

It would be a big loss for me because I really did love my god-kids.

Killing their father would put me at a disadvantage with them.

I would always make sure they were straight no matter what, but the dynamics of the relationship would change tremendously.

I couldn’t spare Solace because he had no reason for deception.

He broke the fuckin’ code and I could never be on some soft shit when it came to the next niggas disloyalty.

I gave everybody a fair chance at winning and I wasn’t a selfish nigga when it came to making this money.

I already had lots of money, anything added was a bonus.

There was no excuse that he could possibly give to make my mind alter on killing him.

The only person I was trying to give a small chance to was Reaper.

I expected her to get her family on the right accord.

If she didn’t then things would turn out ugly.

Pulling up to Kat’s house, I told my driver to leave the car running.

I didn’t plan on being here too long at all.

This visit would come as a surprise because I never just popped up where she lived, and I never saw her kids.

I had to see for myself if what I found out was true.

It didn’t mean she was guilty, but it meant she was living just as foul as Solace, and I couldn’t tolerate having someone with her kind of traits in any of my operations.

Knocking twice, I heard the blaring TV and kids talking loud sounding like they were arguing about something in the living room. Peeping out the blinds, a little boy came to the door and opened it wide. She didn’t have the decency to train her kids to never open the door for strangers.

“Little man.” I looked down at him and gave him a warm smile.

“Never open the door for strangers, it could be somebody at the door trying to bring you harm.” I schooled him as he smiled up at me like he was looking at a celebrity.

“You’re no stranger though, my momma shows us pictures of you all the time. She says you’re going to be our stepdaddy one day.” He smiled big and looked past me out onto the street. His eyes grew big as he stared at my Phantom double parked with the hazards blinking.

“That’s your car?” I smiled and nodded as he stepped to the side to let me in.

I was still taken aback by the stepdaddy comment.

So, Kat was dickmatized and masking her feelings for me while she worked on a plan to make me hers.

I had to chuckle at that. This broad was very deranged to ever think we would become a thing.

I asked him to point me to his mother’s room as I looked at the little girl who seemed to have an attitude.

One look at both of these kids, I knew they belonged to Solace.

Damn shame! I thought as I stepped over shoes and clothing causing me to shake my head more.

I held no excuse for people with kids and filthy houses.

If I had kids best believe their asses would know how to clean.

Despite my growing up with maids and people that handled things around the house for me, my father taught me how to clean up behind myself.

I still took the trash out and made sure my room was clean before being able to lay up and do what I wanted.

Opening her room door, I wasn’t surprised to see a cluttered room.

Clothes leisurely laid around like it was the place to be.

With all the money she made and all the help I gave her, there was no excuse to be living like a gutter rat bitch.

I was disappointed in myself for even sliding inside of her.

I hated a dirty-ass woman that didn’t take pride in herself enough to keep the space she slept in clean.

I decided to stand in the middle of the clutter, I could feel my OCD kicking in.

She walked out of the bathroom naked and dripping. When her eyes landed on me, she damn near jumped to the ceiling.

“Ream?” she asked shockingly. Picking up her dry-off towel from the bed she wrapped it around herself.

I loved a woman with meat on their bones.

I didn’t discriminate as long as the face was pretty and the body was thick, a little gut never bothered me.

I grew up watching my father love on my mom and look at her with adoration.

Her rolls and stretch marks didn’t bother him at all.

My mom had confidence that was sky high, so a fat joke could never offend her.

“Why didn’t you call?” she looked around at what I took in when I first walked into her room. I hope she didn’t place the blame for this mess on her kids. People loved to say excuse my house, and then add a sorry ass excuse for living filthy.

“I don’t know, guess I wanted to see how you really lived before I wifed you. I must say I’m not impressed; you live like a pig, and I can’t be with a woman that doesn’t take pride in how she lives.” I smiled totally fucking with her.

“Ream this is not how I live, my son had practice and I had to wash clothes just been busy.” I smiled at the excuse she threw out there, this shit looked like weeks-worth of clutter.

She looked thrown off her square by my presence.

I noticed her hands shaking as she clutched her towel tight.

Her eyes were everywhere but on me, I made my way to her and could see her swallowing down hard.

“I’m just fucking with you Kat. You know I don’t look at you in that way and I never will.” Her eyes hit her stained carpet; I could see the disappointment. Getting to the point, I grabbed the bottom of her chin with my thumb and index finger and forced her to look me in the eyes.

“Katrina, whose kids are those in the living room and don’t lie to me. You know I don’t play the fuck around and you’re smart enough to know I don’t do house visits unless it’s a serious matter.” The playfulness that I started out with, was gone and now my face was blank of any emotion.

“H-he wanted me to keep them a secret, he doesn’t acknowledge them.” She stammered over every word. Sighing, I pulled my pistol from its holster and touched her nose with it.

“I asked you a question, and the next time you beat around the bush, I’ma send you where heaven be,” I spoke low, keeping my gun on her nose. I didn’t give a fuck about the tears that were now spilling down her chubby cheeks.

“Solace’s kids, Ream, I’m so sorry.” She sobbed out.

“Shhhhh, don’t bring attention to your kids, they can’t fucking save you, Kat.” She nodded her head in agreement as I lowered my gun and shook my head.

“I’m disappointed in you Kat. You a smart-ass bitch with numbers. You suck good dick and here you are with kids by a disloyal nigga. You’re done, I will have Crystal bring you your last check in the morning since she will be taking your place until I find someone else to replace her.”

I had been fucking with Kat for a minute, I had no clue that Solace was making babies with her.

Each time she got pregnant; I gave her time off and let her work from home like a real job.

I was aware that Solace fucked on her a couple of times because he told me I should get head from her.

He called her The Head God and that was true because Kat could truly suck a mean dick.

My dick couldn’t even go down most female’s throats.

Kat was greedy and made sure she mastered taking all twelve inches of me down.

“Give me your work phone Kat.” She went to her night dresser and pulled it out and handed it over to me. Placing it inside my pocket, she fell to her knees while holding onto my legs. Throwing my head back, I pinched the bridge of my nose to calm my nerves.

“Katrina, I am being very generous. You have enough money to move on with your life. Stay away from Solace and if you continue to fuck with him that’s on you because he’s a dead man.

If you warn him that’s okay too because no matter where he runs or tries to hide, I’m coming for him.

Just know, if I have to chase him, I’ll be coming to kill you next for making me search for a man that won’t even acknowledge your kids.

” I shook her off my thousand-dollar pants and walked out of the house.
