Chapter Twenty

REAPER

I made it back to my house at night, after leaving Hakeem’s house I went to a bar and took down a couple of shots.

Making my way up to my front door, that eerie feeling came back to the pit of my stomach.

Pulling out my nine-millimeter, I unlocked my front door and walked into the darkness.

I smelled his strong cologne before I turned my light on.

Flicking the switch upward, I was greeted by Ream sitting comfortably on my sofa with a smile plastered on his face.

Solo, appeared from my dark hallway as his tall bulky frame walked to take a seat on one of my bar stools.

“I hate to just pop up surprising you like this, but I had another mission for you to take. Since all this snake shit is going on within my organization, I thought to come to you and tell you this personally.” Nodding my head, I kept my gun secured tightly in my hand until I took a seat across from him and sat my gun down next to me.

I didn’t view him as a threat, he just had a weird way of handling things.

“You looking real good. I see you still rocking sneakers and Levi jeans like the niggas do. It’s good to see you doing better.” I cleared my throat and smiled at his sarcasm. I loved rocking jeans and sneakers, and I didn’t give a fuck how anyone else viewed me.

“I wanted to get your personal number to thank you and Solo for helping me out the other day. I really appreciate y’all for how you handled the situation.

I had been missing doctor’s appointments and didn’t know how fast another episode would hit me until I got another refill.

” It felt like I was rambling. I heard Solo grunt as I watched Ream lick his thick lips while unbuttoning his suit jacket then removing his gun from his inner gun holster that he had on the inside of his suit jacket.

Placing his gun on the coffee table, he picked up a yellow thick folder that had my name in cursive.

“No need to thank us for doing what real gentlemen are supposed to do for a lady in need.” He drummed his fingers on the folder. Something about this visit didn’t feel or seem right.

“As you know I have a big enemy and a small-time enemy. My big enemy is Armando who has been serving a small-time enemy named Debo. Debo recently hit my shipment causing me a big amount of money. My biggest problem with that situation is who put Debo onto my overseas trip and gave him Armando’s number to start doing business.

Don’t fret over that because I’ve already figured out who the leak was for that.

” He reassured me as I relaxed in my seat a little.

I didn’t understand why he wanted me so involved with his drugs and guns side of the business.

Before he continued to speak my front door opened, I grabbed my gun and pointed it in that direction.

Looking back over at Ream, he had an unreadable face expression as he looked at the door.

In walked to big guards, they stood on each side of the door.

A short beautiful chubby woman with blue bright eyes walked in next like she was royalty.

Her choker blue diamond necklace sat perfectly on her neck, matching her blue diamond earrings.

She had on a sky-blue two-piece suit that showed a little cleavage with high healed expensive shoes gracing her feet.

The power leaked from her pores as she looked me over with a pensive stare.

“So nice of you to join us mom. I wonder what daddy would say if he knew you were out roaming the streets this late.” I looked between the both of them and frowned.

This was the legendary Rellianah Powers.

She didn’t look like she could be anyone’s momma.

Her face looked youthful and when she smiled it brightened up the room.

She never took her eyes off me. Holding her hand out, her guard hurriedly took out some hand sanitizer and put a big amount in her hand.

She rubbed her delicate hands together not caring about the amount that fell onto my carpet.

Nodding her head towards me, that same guard approached me and held the hand sanitizer out.

I allowed him to place some in the center of my hand as the other guard closed my front door.

“Well son, I had to meet the woman that seems to have you very smitten that her brains haven’t been blown outweighing the information I coughed up.

” She made her way up to me filling my nose up with her sweet-smelling fragrance.

Even after her insult, she held her hand out for me to shake and gave me a look that dared me to decline.

She shook my hair real briefly as if I was contagious and continued to direct her attention to Ream.

“I’m already in the doghouse with your father, I’m pretty sure those guards of mine can’t wait to inform him on my whereabouts for the night.

I’ll have you know I’ll be leaving now, just needed to make my presence felt.

Nice meeting you Reaper, since I was expecting you to be dead on arrival.

I’m sure I will be seeing you again under better circumstances.

” Turning away she gave us her curvy backside and waited for her guards to open the door.

When she left out, we remained silent. Now my mind started to wander on why was Ream really here.

“You remind me a lot of my mother. Y’all personalities match a little, only difference is, I think you could be tamed better than how my father has her.

” Pulling out a blunt, he sparked it and then opened the envelope.

“This next mission will be quick and easy. I have everything you need to make things go as planned.” He took a bunch of pictures out of the folder and held them in his hands.

“You will be killing Debo and Solo will take out the rest of the crew.” He handed me over the pictures and remained quiet.

The first picture had a tall guy that looked to be about six foot two with brown skin.

I couldn’t see his facial features because a ski mask covered his face.

I went to the next picture and had to keep my composure together as my stomach fell into my ass.

“Matthew what are you doing?” I whispered as I looked at the picture gripping it tighter than before.

I flipped through the other set of pictures and stopped when I got to a picture of Matthew and Kayori at a basketball game for Mi’air and Ki’air.

I picked my gun up and pointed it directly toward Ream’s handsome face.

Hearing the safety click off a gun behind me, I knew it was Solo.

“I won’t kill him.” I gritted with a glare covering my face.

“You won’t kill Debo?” he asked with his brows raised high, his eyes held amusement as I gripped my gun tighter.

“Drop the gun, or I’ll blow your fuckin brains out bitch.” Solo growled from behind me.

“Let her keep it locked and loaded Solo. Reaper, flip to the next picture.” He smiled.

I remained frozen with my attention glued to him.

I didn’t know what the fuck my brother Matthew was into, it had me blown, but I planned on dying protecting my little brother.

I used my free hand as I let the other pictures fall to the floor.

The last photo was of my father and Kayori caught off guard standing in the front yard.

I swallowed whatever spit I had left in my mouth and slowly lowered my gun.

“I can’t kill my brother Ream, so kill me.” That was all I could say, so far me and my siblings were reckless as fuck and had a lot of fuck shit going on.
