40. Rellianah
Chapter Forty
RELLIANAH
My men and I pulled right in front of the police station.
I looked at myself in my compact mirror and made sure my lipstick was painted on perfectly.
My eyes had turned gray, I was pissed off and had to maintain my cool.
Having eyes that changed colors depending on my mood, was a gift and a curse all in one.
Tapping my fresh set of nails against the door frame, I waited for my driver to open my door.
Once he opened the door a fresh breeze hit my face.
Taking a deep breath and holding it in before releasing it, I placed my red bottom heels on the concrete and stepped out of my vehicle.
We trekked to the front door as my guards jogged ahead of me since I was walking pretty fast. Opening the glass doors, I walked in as all eyes landed on me.
“Get me your chief immediately.” My voice bounced off the walls.
“No need for them to get me, Mrs. Powers, I’m right here.” Chief Wilson appeared with a smug look on his face as he stood in front of his office. I made my way towards him as officers tried to step in my path to stop me. Snapping my fingers one of my men handed me an envelope.
“If one of your men put their bacon-eating fingers on me, I’m pretty sure in two weeks your department will be out of budget, paying for their funerals Chief Wilson.” I smiled.
“Is that a threat Mrs. Powers?” He raised his brows as I kept eyeing the officer that was bold enough to stand in front of me. Holding the white envelope up, I smiled.
“No, it’s a promise. Unless you want me to reveal what’s in this envelope in front of everyone?
I think you had better decide to see me alone.
Get this rookie cop out of my face and have someone school him on who the fuck I am.
” My trigger fingers were itching, I had to contain my temper.
Stepping around the rookie I made my way up to Chief Wilson in seconds with my two men on each side of me.
“Shall we enter your office now?” I smiled as I stared at his hand with disgust until he put it down to his side.
I wouldn’t dare shake hands with a man that was bold enough to have my son apprehended.
At this very moment, I was working on my alibi.
Cease and Khaos were currently at his lieutenant’s house killing him.
That would send a loud and clear message.
This police department knew better, the Power’s family was off fucking limits.
They had crossed the line and now I had to nip it in the bud before it even made it to court, grabbing the attention of people in higher places.
Chief Wilson has had a hard-on for me since I was young as hell running things.
Now that my son was running things, he thought shit was sweet.
Like I wasn’t the same cold bitch that started running this shit.
We entered his office as I remained standing; I watched him walk past me as I opened up the envelope and pulled out several pictures.
The first one was him and Crystal meeting up at a hotel room.
I had multiple other pictures of him picking up prostitutes, his secret child that he had with a prostitute, and plenty other photos that would make him turn blue in the face.
Slamming the photos down on his desk, I smiled up at him as he picked them up and started staring quietly.
“I think, somehow, things have gotten mixed up. Like, you burning all evidence of Christian Joel Powers and Lance Washington. You guys made a wrongful arrest and by five p.m. today they will be released from your custody.”
“Damn it, Rellianah! I just can’t do that!” his face was turning bright red as he kept his focus on the pictures. I took out my cigarette and lit the tip, slowly taking a seat in front of his desk in the plush seat across from him, I shook my head like I was disappointed.
“You’re snooping and building a case against my boy has cost your department a lieutenant.
He’s bleeding out, as we fucking speak. You knew better but decided not to do better.
Now, I think, I’m being very fair. Unless you want some sort of big ass scandal to hit in your department, I suggest you do right by me.
” I crossed my leg and took a long pull from my Newport one hundred.
He dropped his hands in his head as he let them run through his flaky filthy scalp.
“I will even be a little nicer… I’ll give that freckle face bitch a couple of days as a head start to try to run as far as she possibly can, away from me.” Standing to my feet and walking up to his desk, I put my cigarette out on his desk.
“Do we have a deal, Mr. Wilson?” I smirked as he slowly looked up at me with regretful eyes.
“Yes, Mrs. Powers, we have a deal. I can take down some other cats on the south side and charge them.” Removing my hands off the desk, I left him to sulk in his own misery. He had a lot of shit to figure out that wasn’t my problem.
“Great, good seeing you again. My condolences on the loss of your lieutenant, I heard he was a great man. Keep the photos Wilson, I have lots of them.” I chuckled and walked outside of his office slamming the door behind me.
“Sanitize me please.” I held my hands out and watched my bodyguard pull out the bottle of hand sanitizer. Squeezing half of the bottle in the palms of my hands, I placed my Cartier frames on my face and left out of this pig-infested building.
“A mother’s job is never done.” I sighed.
