Chapter 7 Taken Away
I sat on the curb, clutching my stomach, remembering the past.
My head was full of Sheng Yi.
His Braised Pork was just too good.
Tender but not greasy, bouncy and melt-in-your-mouth.
I only agreed to date him because of the Braised Pork he cooked for me at that private restaurant.
If he could make Braised Pork that good, he must be amazing.
Tears slid down my cheeks again.
I hadn’t tasted Braised Pork that good since we broke up.
I was still lost in the memory when two pairs of leather shoes appeared in front of me.
I looked up.
Oh. Officers.
I didn’t even get to say hello.
The two officers glanced at their phone, then at me.
“That’s her.”
“Take her in.”

What did I do?
I was still dazed as they put me in the car.
“Officers, I’m a model student, just started my internship—did you get the wrong person?”
One officer glanced at me and said seriously, “Jiang Si, right?”
I nodded blankly.
“Then we have the right person. We received a report—you’re suspected in a theft case. Anything you want to say, say it at the station.”
