Blaze POV

What the actual fuck just happened?

I’m still standing in the exact same spot, staring at the empty space where Dylan was. I didn’t imagine any of it. He kissed me back. He ground up against me like he couldn’t get close enough. And there’s no way in hell I imagined those soft, desperate moans he made into my mouth.

Then he completely lost it and shouted that he’s not gay.

I rub a hand down my face and mutter under my breath, “I’m not walking away, Little Rabbit.”

“Now, if I’m not mistaken…”

I tense and spin around fast. Titan is leaning against the doorway, looking way too fucking amused.

“Fuck off, Titan. I’m not in the mood.”

He doesn’t move. If anything, he settles more comfortably against the frame and takes a slow drink. “Siren said he’s fucked women, right?” He smirks. “Funny thing is…”

“Titan, piss off.”

He laughs and shakes his head. “Hey, I just wanted to watch. I was hoping he’d punch you, break his hand, and cry like a little bitch so you could kiss it better.”

“Are you serious?” I growl. “You were standing there watching the whole time?”

“Oh, it was entertaining as hell.” He shrugs. “But like I was saying, if I’m not mistaken… he came. And he came fucking quick.”

I shake my head, but I know he’s right. I felt it. The way Dylan’s body suddenly locked up against mine, the way he trembled and moaned like he couldn’t hold it back. The sudden wet heat that soaked through his trousers and pressed against me.

“Titan…”

“What? I’m just being observant,” he says with a grin. “He’s gay. No doubt about it. But let’s be honest, what guy wants to stick around after that? Coming in under thirty seconds just from some grinding? That’s quick, even for a virgin.”

“What the fuck do you want?” I snap.

Titan chuckles and finishes his drink. “Work it out, genius. He’s never actually fucked those women. He’s just playing the role. And you…” He gives a little mock clap. “You gave him his first real mind-blowing orgasm without even trying. Bravo.”

He turns to leave but stops in the doorway. “He’s not coming back anytime soon. That shit…” He nods toward the wall where I had Dylan pinned. “He’s ashamed he came so fast.”

I watch him disappear down the hall.

The garage feels too quiet now. I drag both hands through my hair and let out a long breath.

Fuck. What the fuck just happened?

I need to find out where the hell he lives.

I walk back into the main room and drop down in the chair across from Glitch. “Need you to find out where Dylan lives,” I say.

He raises an eyebrow. “Could just ask Siren.”

“I know I could, but I’d rather keep her out of it. Can you find out or not?”

Glitch leans back and shrugs. “Fine. Just where he lives, yeah?”

“And where he works.”

He chuckles low. “Sounds like you’re turning into Echo. What’s next? Sneaking into his house?”

That was always the fucking plan. Not to stalk him or some creepy shit, but to go to his place and figure this out once and for all.

He’s been coming around here for weeks now, smiling at me, chatting like everything is normal, and yeah…

maybe I’ve become a little too obsessed.

But he’s got me hooked, and I can’t shake it.

“Just let me know when you have it,” I say as I stand up. “I’ve got work.”

I head outside, swing my leg over my bike, and fire it up. The engine roars to life and I pull out onto the road. The ride to work might give me a distraction. Maybe the noise and the wind will push Dylan out of my head for a while.

But even as I twist the throttle and speed up, my mind keeps circling back to him. The way he kissed me back. The way his body shook when he came in his pants. The panic in his eyes right after. The way he shoved me and ran like I’d burned him.

I want answers. Real fucking answers from Dylan.

And I’m not waiting around for him to grow the balls to come back here and give them to me.

The ride to work does nothing to clear my head. If anything, the wind just makes me think about Dylan even more. By the time I pull up behind the club and kill the engine, my mind is still stuck on the way he looked when he shoved me and ran.

I head inside through the back door, the familiar thump of bass already vibrating through the walls.

This place is nothing like our club. It’s darker, sleazier, and smells like sweat, smoke, and cheap cologne.

The main floor is packed with women laughing too loud and men trying to act like they’re not here for the same reason.

I change quickly in the staff room, swapping my cut and jeans for the tight black pants and harness the club makes us wear. It’s ridiculous, but the tips are insane. I check myself in the mirror, run a hand through my hair, and head out to the floor.

For the next few hours I keep myself busy.

I dance on the main stage, grinding to the heavy beat while hands reach up with bills.

I do lap dances in the private booths, letting women touch my chest and arms while they giggle and blush.

I smile when I’m supposed to, flirt when they want it, and pocket the cash without really feeling any of it.

My body goes through the motions, but my head stays somewhere else.

Every time I close my eyes between songs, I see Dylan’s face. The shock in his eyes right before he came. The way his hips jerked against mine. The panic when he realized what had happened.

By the time my break rolls around, I’m tense and wired. I grab a bottle of water from the fridge in the back and drop onto the old couch in the staff room. My phone buzzes in my pocket. I pull it out and open the message from Glitch.

It’s an address. Just a simple text with a street name, house number, and a note that says “works at some fancy finance office downtown during the day.”

I stare at the screen for a long moment, thumb hovering over the keyboard. Part of me wants to reply right away. The other part knows I should probably leave it alone. Dylan made it pretty clear he doesn’t want anything to do with me right now.

But I can still feel the ghost of his body against mine. I can still hear the broken moan he let out when he came in his pants like he couldn’t stop it.

I don’t text back. I just save the address and slip the phone into my pocket.

Break’s almost over. I stand up, roll my shoulders, and head back out to the floor. The music is louder now, the lights flashing across half-naked bodies and hungry eyes.

I’ll finish my shift. I’ll make my money.

And then I’m going to figure out what the hell is really going on with Dylan.

Three hours later, I’m finally getting changed in the back room. I shouldn’t do this tonight. It’s already late and I’m running on fumes, but I’m done waiting. He wants to play straight after what happened today? Fine. But not with me.

I pull on my jeans and cut, grab my keys, and head out to my bike. The engine roars to life and I point it toward the address Glitch sent me. Dylan’s apartment.

When I get there, I knock on the door and wait.

Nothing. No footsteps, no voice, no sign of life inside.

I glance up and down the quiet hallway, then reach into my pocket and pull out my lock picks.

It takes me less than a minute to pop the lock.

I slip inside and quietly close the door behind me, twisting the deadbolt back into place.

The place is dead silent.

I look around and feel my brows pull together. It’s too clean. Too neat. Nothing is out of place. I open a few cupboards and drawers just to check. Everything is perfectly organized, but there’s barely anything here. Very minimal. Like he’s trying not to leave any trace of himself.

I rub the back of my neck and drop down into the armchair in the living room. He has to come home eventually. When he does, I’ll be right here waiting.

An hour drags by. I’m scrolling through my phone when it suddenly buzzes with a message from Echo.

Need you at church. ASAP.

Fuck. I don’t want to go.

I type back quickly.

Can I join through video? I’m a little tied up right now.

Ten minutes later my phone rings. I answer and the video call pops up. The second I see the screen, I freeze.

“What the fuck happened?” I ask.

Jinx is sitting there with fresh blood smeared across his face and shirt.

“Another club jumped us,” Echo explains, voice tight. “We need to decide how we hit back.”

“Burn their fucking club down,” Ghost snaps from the side.

“Too extreme,” Knox argues. “One beating doesn’t mean we torch a whole building. That’s asking for full war.”

“I gotta agree,” I say, leaning back in the chair. “Torches a club for a beating and we’ll have every crew in the city coming at us. I say we grab two of theirs and send them back twice as fucked up.”

Ghost groans loudly. “You know… I’ve had zero fucking fun or decent work since that asshole Declan McCoy moved in and started clearing everything up. Give me something good for once.”

He’s talking about the head of the local mafia. Even Vesper hasn’t had much to do lately, and she barely takes jobs anymore.

I keep half an eye on the door while the guys keep arguing. My body is still here, listening to church, but my mind is somewhere else.

I’m waiting for the sound of a key in the lock.

Because the second Dylan walks through that door and sees me sitting in his apartment, everything is going to change.

And I’m not leaving until we sort this shit out.

“Blaze, need your vote,” Echo’s voice snaps me back to reality.

I blink, trying to focus. “What are the choices again?”

“Grab two and beat two. We could grab one and send him to meet the Reaper, or we take one of their main bikes.”

Grabbing two guys and beating them is too easy. It’s simple and doesn’t hit hard enough. Killing one would be a real statement, it tells everyone not to fuck with us. But stealing one of their bikes… that’s different. That screams we slipped in, took what we wanted, and they never even noticed.

“Get the bike and torch it,” I say with a shrug. I don’t usually like destroying bikes, but right now we need to send a loud message.

“Everyone’s in agreement then. We grab a bike and torch it. We’ll handle it now and get it done. If you’re not back here in the next hour, Blaze, you’re not taking part.”

“Yeah, I can’t make it. I’ll skip this one,” I say.

“Okay, you can go. We’ll discuss the details.” Echo’s words end and the call cuts out.

The second the screen goes black, I hear a key slide into the lock.

I stand up quickly and inch closer to the door. He can’t run from me this time.
