Dylan POV

Things just went to absolute shit.

I’m not sure if I’m glad Blaze and the others showed up… or if I’m fucking pissed off about it.

One minute Grim had me pinned against his bike, cock in his hand, begging to fuck me right there in the shed.

The flirting had gone way too far, way too fast. The next thing I knew, we heard voices outside.

Grim told me to hide, so I did the only thing I could think of, I dove behind a stack of barrels like an idiot.

I thought it might be some of his club members coming to drag him to church or whatever. I never expected to hear Blaze’s voice.

So I stayed hidden. Dead silent. Because how the fuck was I supposed to explain why I was in a rival club’s shed with my trousers half open?

I listened as they took the bike, slammed the door, and left. I still haven’t moved. I’m not sure I can.

“Can you let me down?” Grim snarls.

I finally stand up and stare at him. He’s still hanging there completely naked, arms tied above his head.

“Now,” he snaps. “I need to get my fucking bike back.”

Shit. If I untie him, he’s going straight after Blaze. If I don’t, he’s going to start asking serious questions about why I’m even here.

I step toward him and reach up to untie the rope when I hear footsteps outside.

“Fuck, hide. Now!” Grim hisses.

I dive behind the barrels again and hold my breath.

The door slams open.

“What the fuck?” a deep voice barks. It’s the Prez.

“Let me down,” Grim growls.

“Are you joking? What the hell happened? You came out here with that kid, Dylan. Was this a fucking setup?”

My stomach drops. Shit.

“Don’t be daft,” Grim says. “That kid couldn’t set up a fucking lemonade stand, let alone us. Just get me unfastened.”

I stay completely still, barely breathing.

“So where the fuck is he?” the Prez demands.

“I sent him on his way. Showed him the bike, he muttered some shit, then I told him I had work to do.”

I peek through a gap in the barrels. Grim is still hanging there naked. Part of me is weirdly grateful Blaze showed up when he did. I’m not sure how I was getting out of letting Grim fuck me otherwise.

A few moments later, they both walk out. The door slams behind them and their voices fade.

I stand up fast, straighten my clothes, and slip out of the shed. I move quietly through the compound until I reach the main gate and manage to sneak through.

That was way too fucking close.

The club believes I'm around because of Siren. If they ever found out I was inside a rival club’s property… especially like this…

Fuck. That’s not a situation I want to be in. At all.

When I’m far enough away from the rival club, I send the message and keep walking. A few minutes later, a black car pulls up beside me. I slide in and sink back against the seat with a heavy sigh.

At least I’m out of there. Hopefully I won’t have to go back anytime soon.

The car stops at the estate and I walk inside. My father is already waiting.

“Well?” he asks.

“Well?” I drop into the chair across from him and drag a hand down my face.

“I almost got caught in the middle of a war between two fucking clubs. It’s not Ting.

At least, I don’t think it is. Grim had this expensive new bike.

Said he had some deals lined up and the bike was a ‘gift’ from one of them. ”

My father hums. “You overheard that?”

“Not exactly. He showed it off to me and told me himself. The Prez knew about the bike too, so there’s no way he doesn’t know where it came from.”

He leans back, thinking. “Sounds like you’re making progress. Give it a few days and go back. See what else you can dig up.”

“Did you miss the part where I said I almost got caught in the middle of a war?”

“You’re not a member. They’d leave you untouched.”

He’s not wrong, but that’s not the problem. Blaze and his club would have a lot of questions if they saw me there. I sigh. “Fine. I’ll go back in a few days. Anything else?”

“Not for now. Don’t forget this weekend.”

“Have I ever missed a weekend?” I ask, irritated.

“No, but you’ve been spending a lot of time with those friends of yours. I just want to be sure.”

I stand up. “I’ll be here.”

Weekends are when he trains me, introduces me to more people in his world. All that shit. I leave the estate and, without really thinking, find myself heading toward the Iron Kings clubhouse.

The second I walk in, I go straight to Siren.

“Fun night?” she asks, winking at me.

I tense. “What? How did you...what?”

She laughs and leans back. “Calm down. It was obvious from the look on Blaze’s face this morning that something happened… and that you ran.”

“I’m not gay,” I mutter.

She just winks again.

“Seriously. I’m not.”

“Oh, he’s definitely not gay,” Blaze’s voice cuts in from the side. He drops down onto the seat, shoving me across the booth so he can sit right next to me.

“You should bring Sasha here,” Siren says with a sweet smile. “I’d love to meet her.”

I tense up even more. “She’s busy.”

“How can you be sure if you don’t even ask?” Siren leans forward. “Come on, she’s your girlfriend. You can’t hide her forever. Invite her. Let me get to know her.”

“Siren,” I warn.

Blaze nudges me. “Yeah, call her. Get her around.”

“Is it me?” Siren asks innocently. “Are you scared I’ll scare her off? I mean, I did enjoy being kidnapped, but I promise I won’t talk about that stuff around her.”

“Okay, no. It’s not that. Can you just drop it?”

Blaze chuckles. “I think he’s more worried about her being here with all these guys around. Doesn’t want anyone turning her head.”

“Are you serious?” I snap.

“Hey, it’s fine,” Blaze says, smirking. “We all get it. Competition’s rough. You don’t want her here in case she picks someone else and you look like a fool.”

“Fuck you.” I snatch my phone out and message Sasha before I can think better of it. Her reply comes back almost instantly. I shove the phone back in my pocket. “There. She’s coming. See? I’m not fucking scared she’s going to run off with one of you.”

Blaze’s smirk only grows. “Well… this should be interesting.”

He played me. Why the hell did I just do that?

“I need a drink.” I shove past him and feel his hand blatantly grab my ass. I spin around and glare.

“Sorry,” he says, not sorry at all. “Hand slipped. No idea how.”

Yeah. Sure it did.

I storm over to the bar. Giggles raises an eyebrow at me.

“Shots.”

His eyes widen. “You? You’re a ‘one drink, no shots’ kind of guy, Dylan.”

“Yeah, well tonight I’m a shots kind of guy.” I’m going to need them to survive whatever the hell I’ve just started.

He doesn’t argue, just slides the shot across the bar. I throw it back and immediately cough at the burn. Giggles chuckles and leans on the counter.

“Another, or is that your limit for tonight?”

“Fuck it. Another.”

His eyebrows shoot up, but he pours it anyway. I down the second one and cough even harder.

Siren slides into the seat beside me with a knowing smile. “Okay, why are you drinking like the world’s ending, Mr. ‘I don’t drink too much, I like to stay sane’?”

My eyes flick over to Blaze. He’s leaning against the booth, talking to Titan like nothing happened.

I lower my voice. “If I tell you something, it stays between us, right?”

She nods immediately. “Best friends, Dylan. No one will hear a word.”

I swallow hard. “I let Blaze fuck me last night.”

Her eyes go wide.

I need to tell someone because what the fuck am I doing? I’m supposed to take over for my father. I need a wife. I need kids. I don’t need… whatever this is with him.

“So you are gay?”

“No,” I say quickly. “I agreed so he would finally leave me alone.”

Siren bursts out laughing. “Babe, no. You don’t agree to let someone fuck you just so they’ll leave you alone. That usually has the opposite effect.”

“He can’t say anything to Sasha, Siren. I can’t fuck this up. My dad would lose his mind.”

“Why would your dad care?”

I pause, then shake my head. “Doesn’t matter. Just promise me no one talks about it tonight.”

“Look, Blaze isn’t the type to run his mouth about who he fucks. The guys here suspect something, sure, but they don’t know. Just… make sure you’re doing what you want to do.”

I want to take my father’s place. I want the life I was hidden from for years. I want all of it. Otherwise, what was the point of growing up alone?

“I want Sasha,” I say firmly.

Siren nods. “Then have Sasha. Blaze won’t say a thing. I promise.”

Giggles walks back over and slides another shot in front of me. I pick it up and throw it back without hesitation.

Maybe if I get drunk enough, I can actually fuck her tonight. It’s worth a shot, right?

An hour later, Sasha is here.

She’s leaning into me, laughing as she talks with Siren. It’s good that they get along, right? Siren is one of my closest friends, so if they actually click, then marrying Sasha might actually work out.

I try to focus on her, on the way she smells, on her smile, but all night my eyes keep drifting across the room to Blaze.

He’s been sitting with some random guy the entire time, and the guy is clearly all over him, touching his arm, his thigh, laughing way too close to his face.

It pisses me off more than it should. He woke up in my fucking bed this morning, and now he’s already moved on to the next person like nothing happened?

Siren suddenly lets out a loud scream of laughter. I look over and see Echo carrying her off over his shoulder. Of course he is. Their relationship is weird as hell at the best of times.

“You’re drunk,” Sasha says softly, leaning closer to me.

“No, I’m perfectly fine.” I’m not. But I don’t want to admit it.

“Are you okay?” She looks at me with real worry in her eyes. I nod, but my gaze is already sliding behind her again.

Blaze is still with the guy. Now the guy is straddling his lap and they’re kissing.

Deeply. Is he fucking serious right now?

I glare at him, but he’s not even looking my way.

Jealousy curls hot and ugly in my stomach, so I do the only stupid thing I can think of I pull Sasha to me and kiss her hard.

She doesn’t fight me. She leans right into it and kisses me back. The guys around us start shouting and banging on the tables in approval. When I open my eyes, they lock straight onto Blaze’s.

He’s still kissing the other guy, but his eyes are fixed on me the entire time. I watch as he kisses down the guy’s neck, his hand dropping lower, slipping inside the guy’s trousers. I can see his arm moving, slowly stroking him right there in front of everyone.

Sasha moans against my mouth and climbs onto my lap, grinding down against me. I should stop this. This is so fucking stupid. But every time I glance over, Blaze is still watching, still touching the other guy like he’s putting on a show just for me, and it makes everything worse.

My hand moves between her legs, pushing into her trousers. She moans louder and grinds against my fingers. My eyes stay locked on Blaze.

“Not here,” Sasha whispers breathlessly, pulling back. “Not here.”

I nod, stand up quickly, and pull her through the clubhouse until we reach the small room I sometimes crash in. The second the door closes, she starts tearing at my clothes. We fall onto the bed naked, her mouth crashing back onto mine.

I’m hard. But it’s not because of her.

It’s because of him.

The second that thought hits me, everything feels wrong. I was really about to do this. I was going to use her just to get back at Blaze. I pull away suddenly.

“Dylan?” she asks, confused and breathing hard.

“Leave.”

She stares at me. “What?”

“Seriously, Sasha. Leave. I can’t do this.”

“I get that we can’t fuck, but we can do other things—”

“No,” I cut her off. “We can’t. Not until I know for sure I’m going to marry you. Just… leave.” I’m too fucking drunk. I was about to use her to piss Blaze off. What the fuck is wrong with me?

She grabs her clothes, eyes filling with tears as she gets dressed. Now she’s crying. Fucking great.

“You know, if you don’t like me you could just say it!”

“It’s not that. I told you, I can’t risk it. Not until I know. Not until my dad signs off on it.”

“Sure. If you say so, Dylan.” She storms out and slams the door behind her.

What the fuck have I done?

The room spins. I groan and drop my head into my hands. I don’t drink much, and I’ve never done shots before. Tonight was so fucking stupid.
