Childhood Friend Who Missed My Engagement

Childhood Friend Who Missed My Engagement

By Qing Yue

Prologue

My childhood friend came home on break and overheard his mom trying to set me up on a blind date.

He asked, “Are you that bored?”

His mom looked surprised. “Why are you getting mad?”

I knew the gap between us was huge—he went to Tsinghua, I went to an ordinary second-tier college.

He had no interest in me.

But no one knew this was already the third year since we ended our messed-up relationship.

Back then he leaned against the bathroom doorframe and only said one thing:

“Ending it early is fine. It’s getting boring anyway.”
