Christmas Joyride to Phoenix

Eighty-five-year-old Joy is determined to leave her Chicago neighborhood in an old RV covered in Christmas decorations and drive west to a retirement home in Phoenix—in the dead of winter.

Miranda, much younger and far less eager for adventure, insists her neighbor cannot make that trip alone.

Unemployed and facing foreclosure, she would rather take her chances on Route 66 with Joy than spend another Christmas by herself.

Joy, though, is keeping a private reason for the holiday drive and a hidden problem that could wreck the whole venture.

Whatever she has not told Miranda may still send their Christmas joyride off the road before Phoenix comes into view.
