Chapter 8 Nate

The house was quiet when I got back from training, with only the faint hum of the dishwasher running in the background.
As much as I had a crush on Austin’s sister, I was thankful that she wasn’t hanging out in the kitchen.
It was probably best that I minimize exposure to her, especially without her brother around.
Something caught my eye in the backyard. Oh, fuck me with an ax handle.
Olivia was home. She was half-naked by the pool. And upon closer inspection, she had one hand inside her bikini bottoms and the other in the bra cup. If she wasn’t coming, she would be soon.
Walk away, Nate. Walk the fuck away. Instead of walking away, I hid behind a curtain like a peeping Tom. My dick twitched in my pants, and I knew I’d earn that unrequited erection.
Fucking goddess. She arched her back, her full tits jutting out, only adding to the fantasy of how she’d feel underneath me. Would she respond to my hand on her breast the same way?
Unable to tear myself away, I watched as she brought herself to climax, no sound, but better than any porn I’d ever watched. She lay there, her chest rising and falling visibly, and as soon as she sat up, I ran for the shower.
I rested my forehead against the wall of the shower, hoping the cool tile would help bring me down.
Nope, the erection hadn’t subsided on its own; there was only one way out of the mess I was in.
I gripped my cock in my fist and quickly took care of business.
Jesus, I couldn’t help feeling that I had violated her privacy.
Austin would fucking kill me if he knew what I’d just done.
My mind flashed to the way she arched her back, and I was back to imagining how she’d feel in my arms. And hard once again.
After I dried off, I dressed in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt before heading downstairs.
With a quick glance into the backyard, I found Olivia swimming laps.
I grabbed a couple of bottles of water and stepped out onto the patio.
When she finished her last lap, she stopped at the edge of the pool and rested her head on her forearms for a second.
I cleared my throat. “Water?”
She startled. “Oh, hi. I wasn’t expecting you guys back anytime soon.”
“I’ve been back for a bit. I thought you had a showing this afternoon?”
“Canceled. Another buyer bought the house before we got in there. My buyer wasn’t willing to get into a bidding war.”
Her expression hinted at frustration, but she quickly blinked and shook her head.
“You work on commission, right?”
“Correct. Sometimes I can close a deal quickly, but other times it takes a bit longer. The real estate market is so hot around here that it can take a bit more to close a deal. The agents are always competing with each other.”
“It sounds stressful.”
“When I was first building my career, it was. I didn’t have a regular paycheck, so I needed to build my clientele and learn to save money in the good times to make it through the bad ones. If Austin hadn’t been there, I don’t know if I would have been able to give myself the time.”
“Is Cooper coming home tonight?” I asked.
“Late. Jason brought him to an amusement park.” Some emotion crossed her face. Was it sadness? Frustration?
“My mother did it on her own, too. My father was even less reliable than Jason, but that was thanks to the booze. You might not think he notices what you do, but he does.”
“Yeah, well, I’m the nag, and here comes dear old Dad with all the fun stuff.”
“Bring him to the game tomorrow. Let me get him on the field beforehand. He can meet the other players and help carry equipment, just to see what we do.”
“Maybe. I don’t want to compete with his dad. I think it’s okay to grow up normally. Not that there is anything normal about all this—” she gestured to the sprawling home, beautiful pool, and outdoor kitchen.
“How come you don’t think you deserve this?” I asked.
“I didn’t earn it. When I got pregnant with Cooper, I dropped out of school.
Do I make a decent living in real estate now?
Yes. But I already mentioned how inconsistent my paycheck is.
Without Austin’s help, I would be back in a hellhole apartment, and Cooper would never have access to everything he has. ”
“Sounds like the only thing at risk is your pride. And if I’ve learned anything, being prideful is the downfall of most men. Maybe you gotta let that shit go?”
Her eyes met mine, swimming in that same emotion. God, she was so fucking beautiful. “How’d you get so damn smart, Nate?”
“I watch people.”
“What do you see when you look at me?” Those baby blues, wide-eyed and innocent, looked at me, begging for reassurance.
“Everything. I see everything.” How do you tell a woman you just met that in her, you see your goddammed future? How do you do that without making her run for the hills?
She stared back at me for a few moments and then pulled herself out of the pool. Did I want to look my fill in that bikini? I did, but instead I gave her space and distracted myself by grabbing her towel off her lounge chair.
“Oh, hold on. I got it,” she said, as a small silicone thing rolled out of the towel onto the pavement. “Shit.”
I picked it up and inspected it, unsure of what it was until it started vibrating in my hand. “Oh.”
She reached across me, grabbing it, and at the same time, her bikini cup shifted, giving me a full view of her breast, nipple, and all. I’m not sure why she thought that suit could contain her, but I’d go to sleep tonight after I rubbed one out thinking of those.
The flush that covered her chest and neck crept up to her face.
“No, Olivia. We aren’t going to do this embarrassed shit.
Okay? We’re all adults, living in the same space.
We’re gonna see shit.” Not to mention watch shit, Nate.
“You still have a right to privacy, even though we’ve invaded your space. ”
She fixed the cup of her bikini, and I handed her the toy. “Okay.”
I watched her as she made her way back to the house, knowing full well that I should look away. When she got to the sliding door, she looked back at me. “I marinated steak tips for dinner.”
“Fuck me.”
