Alittle over an hour had passed, and it was now ten p.m., but still way too early to begin implementing my final plan. I was thinking more like midnight or one a.m. We wouldn’t be going anywhere for a while.

“Hey, Lucy. Are you having fun back there? What, I can’t hear you?”

I laughed aloud. “Okay, listen up. We’re going to be in this garage for a while.

Every thirty minutes or so, I’m going to go back there and undo the duct tape.

I’ll have a water bottle in my left hand and the Taser in my right.

If you are quiet when I take the duct tape off, you will get what’s in the left hand.

If you make even a peep, you’ll be getting what’s in the right. Nod if you understand.”

She nodded.
