Chapter Thirty-Five

DAISY

Maybe Daisy should have gone into the club to do her work. It had only been two days since Daddy had left, and she was drowning. Life without Daddy was so much harder than she had thought it would be.

Even though she wasn’t staying in Daddy’s home like he wanted her to, everything in her house reminded Daisy of him.

The couch where they had sat and snuggled together, or the kitchen where he had cooked countless meals and stuck them in the fridge so that she had food while he was gone. Or her bed.

While they hadn’t done anything sexual yet, her bed still reminded her of him. He had spent the night at her house before he left, giving her all the snuggles she needed.

Daisy’s phone started to ring, and she looked down, a smile blooming across her face when she saw Daddy’s name appear.

“Hello, Daddy,” she answered as she walked into the kitchen.

“And how is my Little Flower doing?” he asked.

“Missing you, but everything is okay.” A lie.

Of course it was a lie. She didn’t need Daddy to fly back early to check in on her when she knew he would have to go back if he left early. She didn’t want him gone again.

She didn’t know what she was going to say so that Daddy never left her again. If he had to visit a site, she was going with him. Her life was miserable without him.

“Are you sure everything is okay?” Daddy asked.

“Yes, Daddy, I’m sure everything. I am just working here, eating the food that you left, and speaking to people when they’re checking in on me,” she replied.

That wasn’t a lie, though. She had been doing all of those things, but life just seemed to be harder without him seeing him in person.

“And if anything changed, you would tell me, right?” Daddy asked. “Because if I find out that you didn’t tell me the truth, then you will be over my lap and your bottom will be red.”

Daisy sucked in a breath and looked at her empty cup. She was kind of lying to him, but she knew if she told Daddy how she was feeling, he would get on a flight. She didn’t want that. She wanted him to do what he had to do, and she could be brave and an adult for a couple more days.

“Well, I have to go now. They’re waiting for me to look at the layout to see if they need to add anything,” Daddy said.

“I don’t want to hang up, though. It’s so hard being away from you, and I don’t like it.

Next time, you’re definitely coming with me, or I’m getting somebody else to do this because my mind is constantly on you. ”

“You have people looking after me,” she pointed out.

“I do, and while they ease my mind whenever they tell me that you are doing fine. That you’ve eaten all your meals and gotten enough water.

The rest of the time, I’m thinking about you.

I know our relationship is still kind of new, and I really hate that I had to leave you so early,” Daddy rambled on.

“But when I get back, I’m going to make up for it.

We are going to take several days off work to just be together and do the things that we weren’t able to do while I was gone. ”

“And what is that?” she asked.

“Snuggle, talk to each other, bake, cook, spend time together as Daddy and Little Daisy. I want to take you out to get ice cream. I also want to take you to the club again so you can see your friends. I want you to sleep at my house so we can get to know each other better. I want to move you into my house when I get back so that I can wake up and you’re there.

And I can go to bed with you. We never have to be apart again,” Daddy said.

“We’ve only known each other for several weeks, though,” she whispered.

But everything felt so right with him. She knew that if she said yes to moving in with him, she wouldn’t regret it. She knew he was the man for her, but it was so early on in their relationship, and she didn’t know if it was wise.

What if she did things he didn’t like when she moved in? Would he tell her to leave and break up with her? She didn’t know if she could survive that.

“When you know something is right in your life, you know. You hold on tight to it and don’t let it go. I knew the first time I set eyes on you in the bar that you were the one for me. When I came and talked to you, it just confirmed everything.”

“But what will other people think?” she asked.

“It doesn’t matter what other people will think or not.

Sophia and her Daddy moved in together soon after they met, but she also lived in a bad part of town and was walking home at night when she shouldn’t have been.

” Daddy chuckled. “But if you are worried about that, I’ll just let people talk to you and tell you that they don’t care.

We like each other, and you are mine. If anyone dares to say something against you moving in with me, then I will tell them to be quiet because their opinions don’t matter.

If we know that we are right for each other and want to spend the rest of our lives together, then why wait until a certain number of months when society deems it appropriate?

We’re not going to do that because that would be time wasted when we could be together, living our lives, not worrying about what other people say. ”

“You do have a point there,” she mumbled.

“I do. If you don’t want to move in, that is perfectly fine, but I thought I would offer.

Think about it while I’m gone. If you need more time to think about it, that’s okay, too.

If you feel pressured, then let me know, and I’ll stop,” Daddy said.

“But I would be honored for you to move into my house when I come back. I would be honored to have you sleep in my bed every single night and cuddle into me, and I would be honored to make you breakfast every morning and see your sleepy bedhead.”

“We don’t have to talk about my bedhead. You know my hair is hard to tame,” she grumbled as she remembered him waking up next to her and teasing her about it.

It wasn’t the first time he had seen her, but the second or third time when they had slept at each other’s house. She had taken a shower, and her hair was still a little damp when she had fallen asleep, which only made her bedhead even worse the next morning.

But Daddy had found it cute. He had told her several times that she was cute and adorable and beautiful. He wanted to see her bedhead more often and show her that he could do her hair.

“And I find it adorable that you wake up like that. I can’t wait until you’re in my house—our home—and I get to do your hair every single day,” Daddy said.

“You really want to do that?” she asked.

“Yes, Little Flower, I really want to do that. I want to do that and so much more for you. I also think if I do your hair, it will make you more comfortable and your Little will peek out a bit more.”

“I’m sorry about that,” she whispered.

She had tried several times to let go fully and allow herself to be Little, but it was so hard. Her Little was shy, even when she was by herself. Sometimes, she thought she was a fraud and wasn’t really Little, but she knew otherwise.

She just didn’t know how to let her Little fully out.

“I don’t ever want you to say sorry. You have no control over it.

It’s fine if she’s never fully out. I’m not with you because I want your Little.

I’m with you because I want you. Yes, your Little is a plus, but it doesn’t determine who you are or what your worth is,” Daddy said sternly.

“I have a couple of ideas that I want to try when I come back. Things that we will talk about before so we can see if you are interested in them.”

“Just the two of us?” Daisy asked.

“Yes, just the two of us. Well, and Chilli and Tator, but all three of you are a package deal,” Daddy said.

“Now, as much as I hate to end the conversation because we have so much we need to talk about, I really do need to go. There are people standing outside my car, waiting for me to talk to them.”

“Okay,” she mumbled. “I’ll talk to you later.”

“I love you, Daisy,” Daddy said before he hung up.

Her mouth fell open, and the mug slipped from her hand, hitting the floor, as she looked at her phone in shock. Daddy had just told her that he loved her.

Did he realize he had said those words?

Daisy didn’t know how long she stood there, looking at her phone. It wasn’t until she moved her foot and sharp pain slashed through the bottom of it that she blinked and finally looked down. Right, she had dropped her mug, and it had shattered against the ground.

Tears welled in her eyes, and blood was dripping onto the floor now. Daddy had just told her that he loved her, and now she was hurt.

“I just want my Daddy,” she sobbed.
