Chapter 18
Chapter
Eighteen
GIO
The next morning I left Bronwyn sleeping in her bed. I didn’t want to leave her, but I had shit to do before family dinner that I couldn’t have her around for.
As I left the bed, she stretched out into my spot without opening an eye. I was afraid I’d woken her, but she was dead to the world. I dressed slowly while I watched her sleeping form, wanting nothing more than to climb back into bed with her and wake her up with my face buried between her legs.
But I can’t.
Business calls and I need to have Wiz find the douchebag she plays with online.
Before I head out the door, I start her coffee maker. It’s the least I can do since I kept her up most of the night.
“There better be a good fucking reason you’re calling me this early.”
“There is,” I tell Wiz as I jog down the stairs and unlock the pizzeria, walking through to get to my car out front. “I need you to find someone for me.”
Wiz sighs as I hear sheets rustle. “Give me the name and I’ll have it to you by this afternoon.”
“Yeah, that’s not going to work. I need it now.”
“Come on, man,” Wiz groans. “It’s seven in the morning. Who wakes up and needs shit done at seven in the morning?”
“People who have shit to get done.”
I hear Wiz curse in the background. “This is going to cost you.”
“Add it to my tab,” I tell him as I open my car door and slide in.
Wiz snorts sarcastically. “I’m waiting for the name.”
“Don’t have one,” I tell him as I pull away from the curb.
“What do you mean you don’t have one?” Wiz asks, sounding annoyed. “Who the fuck am I finding?”
“The motherfucker who is trying to get into my girl's pants. She plays online with him.”
“Why do you never make my job easy?”
“What’s the fun in that?” I ask with a smirk on my face. “She uses the pizzeria’s internet.”
“Thanks for throwing me a bone,” Wiz replies sarcastically.
I can hear Wiz’s fingers hitting away at his keyboard in the background.
“Is this going to take a while?”
“One more smart-ass comment from you and this is going to take as long as I feel like it’s going to take.”
I smirk. “Well, aren’t we testy this morning. Want a coffee? I’ll bring one over with an umbrella in it.”
“No, I don’t want a fucking coffee with an umbrella in it, and I sure as hell don’t want your face to be the first thing I see in the morning.”
“Suit yourself. I didn’t want to share my umbrellas with you, anyway.”
“Will you just stop talking? I can’t concentrate with you spouting endless bullshit in my ear.”
I let out a laugh as I speed across the city, heading to my place. His club must have kept him up late because he’s a cranky boy today.
I need a fresh suit to pay this guy a visit in. One rule I live by is that I will always make a good first impression when I’m about to fuck someone’s life up. Cutting something off or even killing them just feels…so liberating when you look good.
“Alright, I’m in,” Wiz says as he continues to fire away at his keyboard.
It’s about damn time.
“I was beginning to think you’d lost your touch.”
“I swear to god if I could reach through this phone and smack the shit out of you, I would,” Wiz growls.
“You’d have to catch me first.”
“I doubt you’d outrun me in that fancy suit of yours.”
“They might be fitted to my ass, but that doesn’t mean I can’t move if I need to.”
“Oh shit,” I hear Wiz mumble on the other end. His fingers slow down on the keys.
I sit up straighter in my seat as I turn the volume up in the car, hoping I can hear better. His ‘oh shit’ sounds like I’m about to get some news that isn’t going to make me happy.
“What?” I ask, my tone sounding rushed and harsh. “Did you find him?”
My hand tightens on the steering wheel as I wait for him to answer, the silence is almost deafening.
“Oh, I found him all right.” Wiz laughs uncomfortably.
“And…” I’m two seconds away from driving over to the compound and looking at what he found for myself if he doesn’t put me out of my misery.
“Are you sitting down?”
What the fuck?
“Yes, I’m sitting down. I’m in my fucking car. Tell me who it is,” I demand.
“Pull over.”
“I just pulled into my drive. Fucking tell me now, Wiz, or so help me god.”
Wiz inhales deeply as he mutters something I can’t quite make out. “Alright, I’m just going to say it.”
“That would be appreciated,” I say, growing more and more frustrated.
“The guy your girl games with is me.”
I stop breathing and blink in surprise. “Excuse me?”
Wiz clears his throat. “The guy your girl games with is me.”
I don’t say anything as my brain plays catch up to the bomb that was just fucking dropped on me.
Wiz is the guy who’s trying to get into my girl’s pants?
My breathing is coming out in short huffs as I try to calm myself down, but all I can think about is Wiz asking Bronwyn if she’s feeling better.
Sex is intimate, but knowing tiny details about someone’s life that no one else knows is even more intimate.
And those details are mine and no one else’s.
I never thought I would have to kill one of my fucking friends.
“Are you there?” Wiz asks, his voice coming through the speaker in my car, breaking the silence. He sounds unsure, no longer the confident asshole who gave it back as good as he got.
“You’re Mr. Fuck Around And Find Out?” I ask, my tone taking on a sinister edge.
“I am,” Wiz answers. “Look, I didn’t know ravenslayer was your girl. And to ease your mind so you don’t come over here guns blazing ready to shoot my dick off, I never tried to get in her pants nor do I want in her pants.”
That has my eyes narrowing. “Why wouldn’t you want in her pants?”
“I-I mean, she’s a cool girl and we have similar interests, but it never got to that point,” Wiz tries to explain.
“But you wanted it to?”
If he tells me he did, this relationship is over. Matteo can kiss his alliance with the Dirty Devils goodbye because Wiz is going to be swimming with the fishes.
“It never got to that point.”
“What does that mean?”
Wiz sighs, sounding exhausted. “I don’t know.
Do we talk about personal shit sometimes?
Yeah. But I think it was because neither of us knew each other in real life, so it felt like a safe space to vent because we both knew whatever we said wouldn’t leave the chat.
You’ve never had an internet friend you’ll tell anything to but never met? ”
“No,” I ground out. I think this is worse to hear than he’s the guy she’s been messing around with. “Why haven’t you two met? You live in the same fucking city.”
“Because it isn’t like that,” Wiz stresses. “We both had a mutual understanding that this is all it would be. Neither of us tried for more, or even asked for that matter.”
“That’s the only thing saving your ass right now.”
“I didn’t do anything!” Wiz exclaims. “Can I ask if she’s okay? She was being weird as fuck last night and told me she won’t be able to play with me anymore. It didn’t sound like her.”
That’s because it was me, dickhead, but look at you being the good guy and checking in on a woman who isn’t yours. It’s time to learn your place, my friend.
“She was a little occupied with my dick buried in her last night.”
Wiz lets out an uncomfortable grunt. “Too much information, man. Next time, a simple she’s fine will work. Do you really want me to stop talking to her?”
Do I? Fuck yeah. But she doesn’t have many people in her life, and I would hate to take away someone she thinks of as a friend.
“No,” I finally admit. “But I want this to go on record that I’m not happy about any of this.”
“Understood.”
“And I want her password to her account.”
“Gio…” Wiz trails off, sounding uncomfortable. “If it were anyone else, I would give it to you, but it feels wrong giving you her information like that.”
“I don’t give a fuck if it feels wrong to you. Send it over,” I demand, leaving no room for argument.
“Fine.” Wiz sighs, giving in. “But you didn’t get from me.”
I end the call. Thirty seconds later, my phone dings with a text message from Wiz containing her information.
He can keep the current relationship he has with her, but I’m going to know every single fucking thing that goes on.
I open my car door and step out, slamming it shut harder than I intended.
I need to cool the fuck off before family dinner tonight or Ma is going to have my fucking head.
The one rule is no matter what’s going on with business or family, you leave it at the door the second you step foot through it. After you leave, you can throw hands all you want.
Once inside my empty house, I throw my keys in the stupid bowl Ma got me, listening to the clink echo throughout the house.
It’s funny because I used to love the silence.
With all the shit that goes on in my life, coming home to nothing was what I used to bask in.
But now? Now I want to come home to a woman who is soft in all the right places and has a head of hair and a pair of tits I would kill for every single fucking time.
Ma insisted on decorating my house for me, claiming men don’t have the touch to make a house a home. It turned out to look like a copycat of her house. Which is fine, but it’s not a style I would have picked for myself. I can see myself in Bronwyn’s style, though.
When I get to my bathroom, I turn on the shower, letting it heat up as I strip down. Stepping in, I let the water stream down my back as steam swirls around me. I fist my cock and feel it harden as I think of having Bronwyn pressed up against the shower wall as I assault her cunt.
God, it’s always so wet for me.
She has no fucking clue what her body does to me. She can bring me to my knees by batting those baby blues at me as she pleads for me to give her what she wants.
I stroke my cock faster, tightening my grip as I imagine Bronwyn on her knees with tears running down her face as she takes my cock. My balls tingle and tighten as I get ready to blow. Cum jets out, hitting the shower floor as I let out a low groan as I watch the water wash it away.
Fuck, that’s nowhere near as great as the real thing.
I finish up, turn off the water, and step out to get ready.
