Chapter 34 #2

“Since I lost the one good thing that walked into my life,” Cade answered with complete sincerity.

“And…we didn’t get to have a normal relationship before.

The way things started between us wasn’t how I would’ve wanted.

We never went on a date, or did anything that wasn’t just part of survival.

We didn’t have the space to enjoy more of the good things in life. Now, I want to give you all that.”

She couldn’t help herself; she walked around the small dining table and bent to kiss him full on the mouth. He jolted briefly in surprise, but quickly settled into it, his hands coming up to hold her in place.

Asha moved to straddle his lap, and their kisses soon grew wilder, more passionate. Cade’s hands moved into her long, black hair and stayed there, pulling her in. Before long, she felt him growing hard against her, and she sighed with pleasure. It’d been so long since she’d felt him like this.

Lingering doubt still clung in the dark recesses of her mind. She loved him, but hadn’t said it to him yet. Though Cade gave no indication that he minded, she wanted to test the strength of the trust that they were slowly rebuilding before she gave him the final gift of her forgiveness.

Since she was now aching with arousal, grinding against him and kissing him with fervour, there seemed to be one obvious way to do that.

“Asha,” Cade murmured when she pulled back, his eyes glazed with desire, “we don’t have to do this yet. If you’re not ready…it’s fine. I’m in no rush.”

She kissed down his neck, making him shudder. She liked the way his breath was coming out in small pants, simply in reaction to her touch.

“How much do you trust me?”

Cade frowned in confusion, and Asha giggled, feeling most unlike herself. She felt more like the person she used to be, in bed with him. Freer. Sweeter.

“I want to take the lead tonight,” she said, kissing along his jaw. “Would that be okay with you?”

He chuckled. “More than okay. I trust you.”

She stood. “Good. Then I want you to kneel, soldier.”

“What?”

“You heard me. Kneel.”

Cade shot her another look—more curiosity than confusion now—and bit his lip in a way that made her want to bite it for him. Slowly and deliberately, he got on his knees, never breaking eye contact with her. The sight of him there, so vulnerable and handsome, made Asha’s pussy ache with need.

“Give me your belt.”

He arched an eyebrow, but unbuckled it and handed it to her. She used it to secure his hands behind his back, then moved back in front of him. His grey eyes stared at her with a mix of dry amusement and a new, fervent intensity that made her weak at the knees.

“Tonight, you’re going to be mine,” Asha said wryly, and the corner of Cade’s mouth ticked upward. “And you’re going to do as you’re told. Follow orders. Like a good soldier. Right?”

When he offered no reply, she grabbed his chin in her hand and forced him to look up at her. “Aren’t you going to do as you’re ordered? Be a good boy?”

He let out a breath that sounded shakier than she’d expected. This is turning him on. The thought was titillating.

“For you, yes,” he breathed.

“Good.”

Asha took her time undressing in front of him, teasing him. His sharp intakes of breath told her that he was getting more aroused with every moment. When she finally wore nothing but Cade’s dog tags around her neck, she palmed her breasts, sighing as she flicked over her nipples with her thumbs.

“Not fair,” Cade said breathlessly. “God, you’re beautiful, Asha. I need to touch you.”

“You’ll get your turn,” Asha replied, and she saw him swallow hard, watching her. “Until then, you’ll suffer.”

He made a small sound of protest, but Asha ignored him.

She was enjoying herself. She continued her own ministrations, caressing her breasts and the rest of her body.

Cade’s eyes never strayed from her; his attention was rapt.

He watched her as though she was the most fascinating, arousing thing he’d ever seen.

Asha sighed and kept going until he was practically quivering with desire, a desperate glint in his eye. He looked damn good on his knees for her.

“Something you want?” she asked, teasing, but her pussy tightened and got wetter with each brazen look he gave her.

His Adam’s apple bobbed. “To feast on your gorgeous pussy. This is cruel and unusual punishment after being away from you for so long.”

Pleasure bloomed inside her, and a desire for more of his surrender.

“Then beg,” she murmured, in imitation of what he’d once said to her. “Beg me for it, and I’ll give it to you.”

Cade make a choked noise, and then, to her surprise and delight, he did what he was told.

“Please,” he croaked. “Please let me lick you. Touch you. Serve you. Worship you.”

His hushed tone sent a pleasurable shiver down Asha’s spine.

She wasn’t quite done toying with him, however.

She pulled a chair from the table and placed it in front of Cade, then lifted her right leg to plant her foot on the seat, exposing her pussy to him.

He inhaled sharply and gave her a look of what could only be described as reverence.

“Only your tongue,” Asha instructed, not that he could move his bound wrists. “No other contact.”

Cade nodded, and she guided his mouth to her pussy.

Immediately, he worked her with his tongue, fast and eager and ravenous.

A long sigh escaped him, and the tension in his shoulders eased slightly as he devoured her.

Unable to use his hands, he simply leaned harder into her for balance, applying an exquisite pressure to his strokes.

An orgasm coiled tight at Asha’s core, and it didn’t take long for her to topple over the edge, gasping and murmuring his name.

“More,” Cade panted. “I need more. I’m starving for you.”

Another wave of arousal passed over her, and she allowed him to make her come a second and third time using only his tongue, until she was nearly spent.

When she looked down at Cade, his face was both smug male satisfaction and sheer misery.

She could see his erection straining painfully against his pants.

“Please, my angel,” Cade gritted out, and she loved his desperation for her most of all.

“Please let me fuck you now. Make love to you. Tell you that I’ve never seen a woman so beautiful, and that I’ll spend the rest of my life making up for the ways I’ve hurt you. I want you. So fucking much. Please.”

Poor guy, she thought with amusement. I think I broke him.

She stroked his cheek, and he shuddered under even that slight touch.

“Such a good boy you’ve been,” Asha whispered to him. “Alright. Prove it to me.”

She freed him at last, and he practically pounced on her.

He scooped her up into his arms and dumped her onto the bed, smothering her giggle with a kiss.

A moment later, his clothes were on the floor, and his warm, naked body was pressed against hers.

Asha spread her legs beneath him, and they both gasped as he pushed his cock inside her.

“Yes,” Cade groaned. “Oh, fuck, yes. I’ve waited so long for this, darling. For you. I don’t care where we are or what you’ve done…you’re still mine, and I’m yours. I’ll always be yours.”

Asha shuddered with pleasure at his powerful thrusts, so deep inside her, giving her everything she needed.

He covered her mouth with his in a kiss that felt brutal and tender at the same time, filled with months of longing.

His hips sped up, making her moan, and then he was coming, calling her name and filling her up with a low groan.

She arched to meet him, taking in every movement he made, every sound of his pleasure.

Cade collapsed on top of her, panting. “Sorry. I didn’t mean for it to be over that quickly. It’s just…it’s been a while.”

Asha giggled, and he joined in. “I’ll do better next time. Promise.”

She pressed a tender kiss to his eyebrow. “I think you did just fine.” And then, with her heart in her mouth, she murmured, at long last, “I love you, soldier. Unconditionally.”

His whole body softened at her words, and the tenderness in his eyes was palpable.

“I love you too,” he replied, then added with a wry smile, “little viper.”

She laughed again, and he shifted their position so that he held her against his chest. They lay quietly together, enjoying the afterglow.

“Did you mean what you said?” Asha asked after a while. “About giving me the life I want?”

Cade kissed her forehead. “Of course. Is there something you’ve got in mind?”

“Maybe,” she said, hesitating briefly. “It’s just…I’ve been thinking. About everything I’ve done. All the people I hurt. And how I want to do things differently. We’re freer now. Like we weren’t in the gang.”

“Sure.” He was patient, letting her finish her thought.

“I want to help other women and girls,” she finally said.

“Or…I want to try. We have room here at Ashburn for more people. Maybe we can give it to people who’ve been trafficked.

Find them and give them a new start, if they want it.

Give them freedom. I just feel like…I can’t make up for anything I’ve done.

Not with the people I did it to. But maybe now is my chance to do something better.

To redeem myself? If there’s such a thing. ”

There was a long silence between them, and eventually, Asha squirmed with nerves.

“You think it’s a bad idea,” she said, doubtful.

“No,” Cade replied gently. “I think it’s a wonderful idea, darling.”

She propped herself up, and he was looking at her with such hope. Maybe even a glimmer of excitement.

“Really?” she breathed, hardly daring to believe it.

“Really,” he answered with a smile, then pulled her down into a kiss. “We can talk logistics in the morning. But I feel good about it.”

“Me too. First thing I’ve felt good about doing in a while.”

Satisfied with their conversation, Asha let herself drift in Cade’s arms, and when she finally slipped into sleep, it was with the knowledge that the darkness inside of her hadn’t won in the end.

Her light was still there, a tiny flame that begged to be fed the darkness of this world, to illuminate the path for others like her to follow.

She’d learn to nurture that light that’d been so neglected throughout her life, with the brave captain who’d loved her fiercely and taught her what it meant to fight.
