Chapter 50

I woke up with a start, my eyes snapping open and my heart pounding out of my chest. It took a minute for my brain to remember where I was and why there were arms around me.

The dreams of Axel and the attack had been hit or miss.

I could go to bed one night and sleep with no problem and the next night wake up in a cold sweat with my hand around my throat like I was trying to fight him off.

Sighing, I let go of the breath I’d been holding as I looked to my right to see Myles while Blake was on my left.

Both were still sound asleep. Now that I was awake, my ankle was throbbing.

I was excessively hot and could drink all the water in this place.

Luckily, this bed was much bigger than the single at school, and I could wiggle my way out from under their arms and down to the end of the bed.

Eyes closed, I counted to ten to try and ease the rapid thumping in my chest. It wasn’t like when I exercised.

This was far worse. No matter what I did, the pounding was out of control, and my mind ran through one horrible situation after another.

I never would’ve thought that memories could do this, but now I had Axel and even Vicky joining the ghost of my mum to haunt my dreams.

I bit my lip as I stood and made sure to put all my weight on my good leg.

Between Axel and falling, I was starting to worry that my ankle was more than sprained with the way the pain went all the way up to my knee.

Liam didn’t think anything was broken, and oddly, I trusted his opinion.

He’d been confident out on the trail and oozed knowledge as if it came out of his pores.

Silently, I opened the door and closed it again, mildly impressed with my sneaking skills.

I’d thought Myles was attentive before, but now he seemed to be planning on carrying me around in a chair on his back.

I really did love him, but he needed to take a breath.

Axel had damaged more than my body and mind with the attack.

He was smart, striking at me. He knew that what he did would hurt Myles, but I didn’t think Axel realized just how protective Myles would become.

Leaning my shoulder against the wall, I used it like a crutch to inch my way down to the kitchen. There were flashes of light, and I figured someone was still up watching television, but when I got to the main room, I froze as shock paralyzed me to the spot.

I blinked, not sure if I was hallucinating, but the way my body heated at the sight of Theo and Liam together wasn’t my imagination.

Liam was completely naked, standing in front of the muted screen with his back mostly in my direction.

That alone would’ve had me pausing. The darkened room cast shadows along his body and the massive unfinished tattoo.

Similar to Myles, Celtic designs stretched from the back of his neck, across his shoulders, and all the way down the back of his legs, but unlike Myles, there were multiple animals mixed in.

He’d become a canvas and his back a work of art.

What actually had me standing there like a peeping Tom was Theo down on his knees as he gave Liam a blowjob.

I couldn’t see all of him, but I didn’t need to.

Part of me was screaming to look away, that this was an intimate moment, and I shouldn’t be watching, but my body didn’t flinch, and my eyes stayed trained on Theo’s mouth.

Liam groaned, his hand going to the back of Theo’s head, and my body flushed so hot that it could rival the fever I’d been running.

Theo’s eyes turned in my direction, but he didn’t stop or even look embarrassed. I squirmed as he picked up the pace, his eyes still locked with mine, and I sucked my lip into my mouth as my body shuddered.

I almost screamed when warm arms snaked around my waist and lips pressed to the side of my neck. I knew it was Blake, and I was trapped in a vortex of emotions that I couldn’t begin to unpack.

Blake softly moaned and left a warm line up my neck to my ear.

“You like watching my brother, do you?” I couldn’t even swallow because my throat was still parched.

“Are you a naughty girl who likes to watch?” My cheeks flamed unbearably hot and I wanted a fan.

“Don’t worry, I like to watch, too,” he whispered, his breath fanning my ear as he pulled me flush against his body.

Still, no words would pass between my lips, so I nodded instead.

I leaned into him and looked over my shoulder so that he could kiss me, and with a playful look in his eyes, he took the invitation.

His hand softly gripped my chin and held me in place as his tongue swirled and danced with mine.

Kissing Blake was always like being slowly devoured while sucking on sweet candy.

“Oh fuck, that’s good,” Liam said, his voice sounding as rough as my throat felt. I shivered even though I was the furthest thing from cold.

“Were you after water and meds?” Blake trailed his knuckles across my cheek.

“Yeah,” I whispered so low I didn’t know if he could hear me.

Blake gave me a little smile and put a finger to his lips as he moved away from me.

I watched him walk across the kitchen and took a moment to admire the low-hung flannel pants he was wearing, or more accurately, the hard ass underneath them.

Damn, it was like an all-you-could-eat buffet for the eyes around this place.

A guttural groan had my head turning back to Theo and Liam.

Theo’s attention was on Liam, whose ass flexed as he picked up the pace.

Holy hell, I needed to go back to the room.

This was so wrong. I had no idea that they were even a thing, and I never in a million years would have thought that seeing them like this would turn me on, but it was, and I didn’t know what to do with any of it.

I certainly didn’t know how to feel about it or if I should have any feelings at all.

What I did know was that I was going to need more than a bottle of water to cool off.

“Oh fuck, yes, yes…ah,” Liam groaned, his body shuddering, and I knew he was coming as every muscle lining his back flexed as he held perfectly still.

I glanced away, but Theo’s eyes caught my attention.

I would’ve sworn he was smirking at me. Could you be equal parts humiliated, turned on, and terrified of your own reaction?

“Here, let me help you,” Blake whispered as he stepped up beside me, and I jumped at his touch, my eyes darting away from Theo like my hand just got slapped in the cookie jar. I waited until we were safely in the room before I spoke.

“I…I…um…I didn’t know they were together.

They caught me off guard. I’m…shit,” I stumbled over my words, and Blake didn’t say anything to help me out of the mortifying experience.

His lip was turned up, and his green eyes were darker in the shadows.

It had to be the fever, but my gaze wandered again, this time tracing his wide shoulders and tapered waist.

Opening his hand forced me to look down, and I blinked as I stared at the two white pills. Why was he giving these to me again?

“For your fever,” he said with a raspiness to his typical velvet tone. I needed to sit in the fridge or go outside. With everything that had happened, the last thing that should cross my mind was how sexy he was.

Hand slightly shaking, I took the pills and popped them in my mouth as he opened the bottle of water and handed it over. Swallowing the pills, I drank half the bottle and was going to wipe the trickle of water off my chin, but Blake stopped me.

Holding my hand away from my mouth, he leaned in, and my breath quickened and then stopped as his tongue licked the droplets before he kissed me again. The cool water and heat from his mouth were like a dance of fire and ice.

“Are you two tryin’ to block me from all the fun again,” Myles asked, his body pressing up against my back as he nipped at my ear.

My heart had never pounded so hard and fast before while I stood perfectly still, trapped between two of the sexiest guys I’d ever seen.

“No, I went to go get a drink and….”

“And she couldn’t look away as Theo polished Liam’s cock,” Blake finished, and I wanted to sink through the floor.

“A little voyeur,” Myles teased, and I could feel him smile against the side of my neck. “Did ya like what you saw?”

I cleared my throat. “I think we should all go back to bed. The fever has obviously made me delirious, and I didn’t know what I was doing.” I pointed at Blake. “Don’t even bother saying another word.”

Smiling, he held up his hands. “I wasn’t going to, scouts honor,” Blake said.

Myles chuckled, his hands resting on my hips. “Aye, comin’ back to bed sounds like an excellent idea,” he said, sending more shivers racing through my body.

“I don’t know if I’m ready or could with what happened. I’m not saying never, just not yet,” I said.

“Snowflake, I wouldn’t dream of it yet.” Blake laughed. “Okay, yes, I would dream of it. In fact, I dream of having ya every night when I close my eyes. No…I don’t even have to close my eyes. Point is, I…we know, and it’s all good.”

“What he said,” Blake seconded, and the tiny ball of tension that had formed unknotted.

Myles moved back and pulled me with him, making me laugh. “But it doesn’t mean that we don’t want to be close to ya,” he said as he pulled me between his legs so I was leaning against his chest.

“Or that we don’t get to tease you,” Blake added as he crawled up the bed between my legs.

“Or that we can’t start to wipe away all the bad that has happened,” Myles said as he moved my hair away from the side of my neck and placed a kiss over my jumping pulse.

“Or that we don’t get to kiss these addictive lips of yours and drive you wild.” Blake hovered over me, our eyes locked before he brushed his lips teasingly against mine. I tried to deepen the kiss, but he pulled just far enough away that I couldn’t.
