Dirty Chorus

Catching feelings isn’t my thing. I don’t let anyone past the surface and it’s easier to keep my heart guarded than getting burned. My loyalty starts and ends with my band and the music we make.

I should be focused on getting signed for a record label. That’s the plan.

Well, I thought that was the plan until I barged in on the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen with a Sharpie, vandalizing the stall wall I keep having to clean up.

She’s about to start her freshmen year at GCU, she’s a cheerleader, and of course, her boyfriend is the quarterback. I don’t stand a chance.

But this pretty little thing walks in on me with another girl and the way she watches tells me one thing, she’s into me too.

I can’t help but spend time with her, and the more I see her, the harder it gets to walk away.

Beneath the sass and hot pink nails there’s a girl writing songs and poems, and she starts leaving a mark more permanent than any tattoo I’ve ever gotten. But being with her comes with a price.

The quarterback isn’t accepting their breakup well, and is willing to do anything to get her back even if that means destroying me.
