7. Sage #2
The words property owner rang in my head over and over as I fell against the back of the couch.
When we settled in Jade Harbor, Jaylen bought a building for me that used to be a dance studio.
It took about a year for me to renovate it the way I wanted to and the same amount of time to build my clientele.
Since I wasn’t really established, I had to use Jaylen as a cosigner on the building.
He insisted on buying it, but I wanted to do something on my own.
I paid the mortgage and taxes with the fees the students paid.
I paid for the utilities, repairs, everything.
The only thing Jaylen did was get the ball rolling.
How dare he try to take this from me? Jaylen was a spineless bastard.
I should have used that fire poker on his ass.
Maybe it wasn’t too late. Once I was sure that I wasn’t about to cry, I called his phone.
I shouldn’t have been surprised when Rebecca answered.
“If you think you’re about to speak to my man after the way you behaved, think again.”
“Sweetheart, the only thing that spared you the first time was that baby bump. My mama used to say you might be pregnant, but your mouth ain’t. If you want to find out what that means, keep playing with me. Put Jaylen on the damn phone.”
“Guess again, whore. Just so you know, I don’t want you anywhere near me, my man, or the house he bought me. I took out a restraining order against you. You better be glad you got that hoopty towed before I did. We’re tired of sparing your feelings. Move on,” she spat before hanging up the phone.
Taking a deep breath, I called right back. She was just as petty as I felt right now because she picked up after the first ring.
“What do you want?” she barked.
“You tell that bastard it’s one thing to be a lying, cheating asshole, but he had no right to mess with my personal business. Unless he wants to see me in court, I suggest he move the fuck around and take those chains off the doors before I make it down there.”
She laughed. She actually laughed. “I figured you would be calling and crying about that little dance school sooner or later. I actually didn’t have to go through Jaylen on that one.
We are done supporting you. His name is on the building, so we’re selling it as soon as the realtor gets back with us. ”
“That is not Jaylen’s business. He has no right to sell it.”
“According to him, he does. He told me years ago that he put it in his name because he knew if he put it in your name, you would lose it.”
“That’s a damn lie. I’m not about to keep going back and forth with you. Put Jaylen on the phone.”
“I’m not letting you speak to my man. Get the hell off his line and move on already,” she said, before hanging up in my face again.
It was a good thing that I didn’t have my car, because I was ready to go over there and pop off round two on both of them. There was no use in me calling back and getting into an arguing match with Rebecca, because, obviously, that wasn’t getting me anywhere but closer to another jail cell.
My chest hurt as I read through multiple parent emails about the disappointment of the studio closing.
Just as many parents were asking about how to get their money back as the ones who were asking me to reconsider.
I didn’t have the stomach to respond when there was so much uncertainty.
The first thing I needed to do was go home and get my paperwork together.
If Jaylen and his mistress wanted a war, they could definitely get one.
I wiped the dampness from my eyes just in time for the door to fly open. The wild look in KD’s eyes only hardened when he saw my face.
“What’s wrong, Princess? What happened?”
The love and concern in his voice made me break down all over again.
“He’s trying to ruin me, K. Jaylen and Becky with the good hair freaking closed my studio!”
“What the fuck? Can he do that?”
“I don’t even know. Him and that girl used my email to send out a memo to the parents and staff that we were closing immediately. One of the instructors called to let me know that the doors are all chained up and everything. I should have knocked his fucking head off when I had the chance.”
“Come here,” KD said, pulling me against his damp chest.
I never liked for Jaylen to be all over me when he was sweaty, but being close to KD felt good in any capacity.
“I can’t believe this is happening. Every time I try to think positive, I’m hit with some more foolishness.”
“How can he close your studio? Is the building in his name?”
“No, well, it’s not supposed to be. That assistant of his said it was, but when I went for the loan, I only needed a cosigner. He went in and took care of it for me. She claims that he put the building in his name because he knew I would lose it. Now they’re shutting it down to spite me.”
“We’ll figure something out, OK. I’ll buy the building if I have to.”
I shook my head and pulled back to look into his eyes. “You know I can’t let you do that.”
“You don’t have to let me do anything.”
“Well, I’m not asking that of you. I just need you to help me figure out what the hell is going on.”
“Well, we’ll figure it out together. What do you need from me right now?”
“I guess I should go by my place and find the paperwork for the studio. Everything should be there.”
“Come on,” he said, grabbing me by the hand and pulling me to the door.
The ride to the place I used to call home was silent.
The only sound that filled the air was KD’s hip-hop playlist. I hopped out of the car and marched to the door before the wheels rolled to a complete stop.
Once I made it to our bedroom, I went to Jaylen’s dresser and tore drawer after drawer open until the paperwork was in my hand.
Pretty much everything was there—the leases, insurance paperwork, everything I needed to prove that Jaylen and that conniving bitch had no rights to the studio.
I could feel KD’s eyes on me before I saw him. He strolled into the bedroom with his hands shoved in his pockets.
“Enough of this shit. Come here,” he commanded, snatching me to him by my waist. “You’re too wound up over this nonsense. One of us needs to relax before one of us ends back up in jail. This time, it might be me.”
“Don’t joke like that, K.”
“Who’s joking? Come the fuck over here and get on this dick. You said you wanted to do it before. Let me fuck you, Princess.”
He knew the exact trigger to make my juices flow. With a firm grip on my waist, he pulled me back until he sat on the bed, then helped me to straddle his lap. The meaty thickness between his thighs made my core ache.
Reaching around me, he pushed my shorts down and helped me out of them.
The warm heat of my arousal made his nostrils flare.
I balanced on my knees while he shoved his pants down and freed his beautiful milk chocolate dick.
I wanted my mouth on it, but before I could move, his hands were on my waist again.
“Uh-uh, ride me,” he said, angling his wide head against my opening. “Ride this dick, Princess. You know you love this shit. Let it erase every trace of what’s his name from your body.”
“OK.” I agreed, knowing that I had to be just as damn crazy as KD right now.
Like he said, it was my idea initially. Instead of going back and forth with myself about right and wrong, I considered the fact that Jaylen had probably fucked Rebecca and God knows who else in our bed while I was too blind to see the signs.
Even if he had never done that, he had done enough by moving in with another woman and not having the decency to speak up.
He still barely said anything, letting Rebecca dictate his every move with his weak ass.
“Aah.” I groaned as I sank down onto KD’s deliciously thick tool in one smooth motion. Thankfully, I was so wet already, because each time he filled me was a challenge. I rose to my knees gasping as his dick massaged and stretched me just right.
KD was perfect. I couldn’t say it enough. For some reason, he either couldn’t see or didn’t care that he was too good for me. In the moment, I was grateful for whichever one it was. His eyes found mine as his hands clamped down on my ass.
He moaned, letting his jaw go slack as he guided my movements with his strong hands buried in my hips. I braced my hands on his chest, rolling my hips harder and faster, chasing away all the anger in the pit of my stomach and replacing it with overwhelming pleasure.
“That’s right. Ride this shit, Princess.”
“Sir, fuck me back. Make me forget,” I demanded breathlessly.
“Sage, you better not cum until I tell you to. I don’t give a fuck how good this shit feels. You hear me?”
“Yes, sir,” I moaned.
“Do you fucking hear me?” he asked again more firmly.
Why did that turn me on even more?
“Yes, sir!” I cried, dropping my head back between my shoulders as he grabbed my ass in each of his hands and thrust into me from below. Once he found his rhythm, he took over using his hands to meet each of his strokes.
“Fuck!” He grunted, falling into visceral moans as he stared up at me like I was the sun. The look in his eyes only sent me higher into the clouds.
“Permission to—”
“Not yet, Princess. Let it build up. You know what you need, mama. Don’t deny yourself.”
I nodded. “Yes, sir.”
When I say that boy showed out! Who the hell knew someone could beat the pussy up from below? Every experience with Klever was one for the books, but fucking him in the bed that I’d shared with Jaylen’s lying, cheating ass took the cake.
The bed creaked like a bad floorboard as he angled his hips and bounced me on his dick like a basketball.
He fucked the hell out of me while I tried to keep up.
Klever Davis’s dick was designed just for me.
I was sure of it. His thunderous grunts rumbled at the pit of my stomach, only intensifying my pleasure.
“Let me cum, sir.”
“Uh-uh,” he replied, removing one of his hands from my ass to cuff my throat.
