Chapter 10 #2

“Tell me, Gavin, since you look up to yo’ boys so much, do they know that you wouldn’t even know how to make a bitch cum if it wasn’t for me and the stroke technique I taught you?

Do they know you used to be a quick pumper?

And speaking of quick, are you still struggling with cumming that way?

Whew, thank goodness I now know what a big dick nigga that knows how to beat my fat pussy up feels like.

I mean, that nigga will make me cum five times before he even comes once. Best experience of my fucking life?”

“See bitch,” Gavin started as he hopped out of the ride and aggressively approached her. “That muthafuckin’ reckless ass mouth of yours is why?—”

Before Gavin could take another step, Evie smiled and waved her blinky at him, a twisted little grin curved her lips. “Aht, Aht. Hey now, I suddenly feel threatened, and I’m a little trigger-happy. Soooo, if I were you, I’d think long and hard about where and how you take your next step.”

Gavin hesitated before he backed away and nodded as his face twisted into a frown.

“Yeah, a’ight ya fat ass bitch. I got you.

I’ll catch you slipping one of these days.

I’mma run up in that pussy and then slit ya fucking throat like I should’ve done a long time ago,” He laughed as he climbed back behind the wheel and sped off.

“Fucking ugly, fat ass bitchhhh.” He yelled out the window as he sped toward the exit.

“If I’m one, so is ya funky ass, bald-headed mammy.” She yelled back as she grabbed her umbrella, closed the trunk, and slid her gun back into her purse. “You preemie dick son of a bitch.”

Yanking her phone from her purse, Evie texted Kamryn.

911 BITCH NIGGA ALERT! Gavin’s fuck nigga energy has disturbed my spirit!!!!

After Evie released a frustrated breath, she headed to the stairs and made it to her appointment with five minutes to spare.

Though a smile now graced her face as she headed to the front desk to check in, the run-in with Gavin left her unsettled.

His audacity had always been too big for his looks.

Although nobody’s looks were ever good enough to be disrespectful, Gavin really had no room to get so beside himself when he couldn’t even be considered attractive to most.

While he was easy on the eyes, he’d gained a little weight over the course of their relationship too and was balding, but refused to cut his waves.

His solid build was encased in beautiful, creamy peanut-butter-hued skin, and he went to the gym from time to time, but the pudge around his midsection always returned.

He hated that he was average height and had to wear glasses.

He was constantly complaining that he didn’t have perfect vision.

But Evie never did understand why he was annoyed when it never took away from his decent looks.

It was his full, long beard, piercing light brown eyes, and perfect white teeth that initially made her give him a chance when he approached her all those years ago at the Ribs ‘n’ Soul Fest downtown.

He gave amazing head, though, which was why, when she discovered that he was lacking inches of his dick, she still gave him a real chance.

She opted to show him how to use it rather than run away.

The curve in it definitely helped with her final decision.

He was a genuinely kind man, at least in the beginning.

But very quickly he turned into a verbally abusive, judgmental, harsh, sassy bastard who seemed to hone in on her weight after she began gaining it from her depression, and he never missed an opportunity to tell her just how stupid she was for leaving the stability of being a dentist to follow her dreams.

Gavin didn’t know it, but she wasn’t that broken-spirited woman anymore who fell victim to his fat-shaming and his negative comments and opinions about her life.

It was such a painful time in her life, A time she never thought she’d survive.

But she had, and those days were long fucking gone, and even though every once in a while, those insecurities would try to test her mental health, she was happy that she could recognize and stop the ugliness from growing in its tracks.

These days, her happiness was all that mattered; she was looking out for herself first and foremost, and she didn’t give a single flying fuck if anybody had a problem with it.

“Bitch, how much is yo’ bail?” Kamryn said by way of greeting when Evie answered the phone just as she exited the spa a couple of hours later. “I'm on my way to the bank right now.”

“Oh, you ain’t funny, hoe.” Evie smacked her lips and chuckled as she exited the parking structure.

“First of all, you still have my bail money. And why you talking shit, I have never been locked up or arrested. You, however, have been both, and I had to bail yo’ ass out.

Not once, but twice while we were in college, and once after we graduated. ”

“First off, whore, ain’t nobody tell you to bring up the past, Evie.

Second, between your earlier missed call, the text I got from you a little while ago, and the fact that you have anger issues, I assumed that I'd need to have the bail money ready. So don’t fault me for basing my assumptions on facts.

You are fucking crazy; you just hide it well. Most of the time.”

“Whatever, I’mma just blame all that assuming you’re doing on your hormones. I am proud of myself for ignoring that bitch nigga though. But Gavin’s punk-ass ain’t why I called you. I called because Greg and Nia asked me to be a third in their relationship. But it came with stipulations.”

“Gurl, you lying,” Kamryn cackled as she turned left out of Cozy Shores Day Spa and headed to the grocery store.

“I’m kinda not surprised, though. Anyone looking y’all’s way could tell that they’re obsessed with you.

But what I wanna know is if you let them down easy or are you leading their weird asses on? ”

“Well—”

“Awww shit, that “Well’ sounds extra funky, Evie. What did you do?”

“You know, your lack of faith in me is insane. Why do I gotta have done something? Why don’t you ever blame the other person in the story for whatever the issue is, Kam?”

“Because I know you; not only do you lack a considerable amount of patience, but you rarely give a muthafucka a second chance to say something crazy or out the side of their neck before you flip the fuck out. Now cut the bullshit and spill.”

Rolling her eyes, Evie quickly ran down the story of what happened over breakfast.

“See, I knew it,” Kam said with a shake of her head. “Why couldn’t you just walk away?”

“I was going to, but her mouth kept mouthing, so, I had to make sure it didn’t mouth no more. I had to let her know that she couldn’t play with me like that.”

“Well, it’s still your fault for even being in that position in the first place. I told your hardheaded ass not to lead them folks on, but you just had to be entertained and bust a bunch of nuts wit’ yo’ freaky ass.” Kamryn smacked her lips with a shake of her head.

“Hey, I can’t help that I like to be entertained, nutted on and nutted in, and be the center of attention in the bedroom.

I just wanted to have fun. I’ll never be seriously interested in a polyamorous relationship for real.

I’m too damn selfish to constantly share, and I'm an attention whore about mine.”

“Which is exactly why I told you to keep that shit as a one-night stand vibe and never see them again, Evie, but noooooo,” Kamryn dramatically dragged the word out. “You just had to fucking on them and filing their heads with false hopes and dreams. You ain’t no better than a nigga.”

“And ain’t,” Evie cackled, and Kamryn couldn’t help but join in. “Why you talking shit though, don’t act like I ain’t learn all my hoeology from you. Yo’ ass was something else before you met Marshon.”

“Listen, whore, we ain’t talking about me,” Kamryn chuckled as she entered the grocery store.

“We talking about you. So, stay focused. Now, if that trick comes for you, I’mma have to kill her ass.

And then Marshon is gonna be pissed because him and Norie are gonna have to hide the damn body.

You make me sick. All I know is that yo’ hot ass better get somewhere and sit down for the rest of the year.

Either that or you gon’ and make up with Norie because apparently, he’s the only one who can handle your ass. ”

“Well—”

“Oh hell nah. You and that damn “Well” again. What now, Evie?” Kamryn cackled.

Cackling, Evie cut her engine after finding a parking space by the main entrance at Oakland Mall. She headed straight toward Victoria’s Secret and promised herself that she’d get a new pair of sneakers and some pretzels once she was done bra shopping.

“Actually, know-it-all ass, that well was not a bad well. I was just gonna say that Norie wants to talk about us. He finally wants to sit down, explain some things to me, and talk about a future together. I’m supposed to meet up with him after I accompany Owen to his event tonight.”

“Well shit, you should’ve led with that, girl.

It’s about damn time. I been rooting for y’all for years.

I hope ya are gon’ finally make it official.

I’ve never seen two loony tunes more in love with each other than the two of y’all.

But let’s back up for a minute, hoe, why are you going anywhere with Owen?

Why the hell are you still even entertaining that nigga, Evie? ”

“I don’t know, Kamryn,” Evie whined and shrugged as if her bestie could see her.

“I guess I just felt bad for getting back into a relationship with him, knowing my heart was with Norie. After I broke up with him, he asked if I’d attend his sister’s wedding with him as a favor.

So, I figured it was the least I could do since I strung him along knowing I didn’t want to be with him. ”
