Chapter 11 #2

Sam shrugged, his cheeks heating. “We were trying to decide if we could bounce a quarter off your ass, me and Kacey. He was very impressed with your size.”

“Was he now?” Evan grinned at him. “I’m going to be crystal clear. I’m not a big sharer. I mean, I know we’re not there yet, but I think we should be clear about that from the get-go.”

Man, he liked that. “To quote Kacey, I got like three guys that I sometimes hook up with when I got a terrible need, and my girl’s not riding with me. I’m not a player, and I guarantee you while Kacey might tease, his man is not into threesomes.”

“Good deal”. Evan reached over and put a big hand on his thigh, squeezing gently.

Nothing too sexy times, he didn’t think, because he was driving, and Evan seemed to be pretty careful about that.

But it felt fine. “Wicked good deal. Now, if you want to try bouncing quarters off my ass, you’re welcome to.

Or you could just give it a slap and see what the rebound is like. ”

Sam hooted. “Yeah, you’re into that? Like the whole slapping thing?”

Evan gave him another look. “I’m not into spanking, if that’s what you’re asking. But the occasional sting to make things even perkier? I’m not against that.”

He could see that. He’d occasionally have some guy slap him on the belly, or the chest, or even on the hip to make sure he was alive and feeling it. “I’ll just get that quarter out.”

Evan chuckled and squeezed his leg again. By the time he got back to the trailer, he was thinking maybe they could take a shower together. Although the shower in the trailer was not Evan-sized.

They did only have about half an hour, so maybe not. He’d just have to see.

They got inside and he started stripping down, leaving his shoes by the door.

“How many uniforms do you have?”

“Three. One for each day of a normal event, just in case. Nobody wants to have to put on bull shit-covered clothes again.”

He pulled his shirt off and Evan hummed. “You are a pretty son of a bitch for being tiny.”

“Me?” He blinked, honestly surprised. “Evan, you’re funny. I am not tiny. I’m a good-sized guy.”

“Are you sure?” Evan tilted his head. “Because I think you’re gorgeous and stacked to the ceiling, but you and Kacey are kind of fun-sized.”

Fun-sized. Shit. “Aye de mi, wait until I introduce you to some of the bull riders. Some of them? They don’t even top out at a hundred pounds.”

Evan’s eyes went wide. “Are they full-grown?”

“They’re tiny. Now the bulldoggers, you’ve seen they can be your size.

They’re just not as muscly as a rule.” He took his pants off and went to the bathroom to put the cold cream on his face and get the goo off.

“But honest to God, you’re just gigantic.

Makes me wonder what size this little one of Hil’s is going to be.

Is he gonna be normal size? Is it gonna be a giant? How big is Max’s daddy?”

“He and Max are the same height. Bobby? He’s got twenty-five years of muscle on the kid. You know, he’s just past his prime.”

Sam looked at Evan up and down. “Are you past your prime?”

“As far as hockey players are concerned, yeah. I mean, I keep myself in damn good shape, but a lot of guys run to fat once they quit playing. Bobby’s kind of prone to it, so he’ll have to really look out for that as he gets older.”

“Huh. That sucks to be him then.” Once Sam had rinsed his face clean, he went over to Evan and grabbed his shiny new belt buckle that he was wearing for bull riding events, pulling him close. “You run to just about exactly what I like.”

“Yeah? I wish we had time for you to show me just how much.” Evan’s glance could have burned him alive.

“Yeah, I wish you did, too, but we’ve got to meet for dinner.” Sam went up on tiptoes to give him a kiss, his lips and tongue lingering over Evan’s mouth.

Evan hugged him close and kissed the top of his head once they broke for air. “We should probably get dressed, huh? Your friend’s waiting on us.”

“Yeah, Lord help him. He’s not nice when he’s hungry.”

“Gets hangry, does he?” Evan winked because God knew Evan could put away the food. Sam had seen it. It kind of stunned him sometimes.

“He does. He has a hollow leg, I think.”

Evan let him pull away so he could get dressed and put on some smell-good.

“Oh God, so does Max. He just eats and eats and eats and he never gains an ounce. Unlike Bobby. He must get it from his mom.”

Sam chuckled because he was learning all sorts of things about his baby daddy’s family just from listening to Evan talk. Evan treated them like family. He could tell there was no filter there, but there was also no meanness, only love and admiration.

He wasn’t sure it made him like Max or his daddy more. Not that he’d met Bobby, but it sure made him like Evan.

Hell, if he was honest, wasn’t anything about Evan he didn’t like. Not so far.

He grinned as they headed out for supper, knowing it was going to be interesting to eat steak with Kacey and Evan and see who could out eat who.

Sam knew it wasn’t going to be him who won that battle. He was too damn small.

Fun-size. Jesus fuck.
