TOGETHER SEPARATELY

JADE

I ’m in a bit of a daze as Osen leads me back to the bedroom.

Watching Rob die was a mind-fuck. I think that’s the first time I watched a human’s life force leave their body. The effect was eerie, but oddly, I don’t feel upset by it.

Now, an animal dying, especially a pet, would have me ripping my hair out and tears flowing until I was gasping for breath. Perhaps it’s because an animal is pure, whereas Rob was corrupt.

A weight in my heart has been lifted. He was a threat to me and my guys, and to the supe population at large. I will no longer have to fear him breaking into my home and hurting me.

Osen leads me over to the bed, but stops me before I crawl in. I realize just how tall he really is as he towers over me. He’s not as broad or as tall as Maxum or Flint, but definitely six-three with an athletic build. His long, brown hair drapes over the tops of his shoulders with a soft wave. His hypnotic gray eyes are light right now and not the dark charcoal of when he’s feeding.

His fingertips trace the planes of my face as he studies me like I study him.

“It’s strange to see you like this. In real life.” He places a feathery kiss on my forehead. “You’re more beautiful than you believe you are in your mind.”

“And you look a whole lot better alive,” I say with a smirk.

Osen’s hands skim down my neck, and he slowly pulls the robe down and off my shoulders and unties the belt, letting it fall to the floor. He pulls the shirt over my head. Then his hands slide over my breasts, admiring me, then around my waist. He draws me close, dropping his head down to give me a soul searing kiss.

“I don’t have the words to communicate how much I appreciate what you did for me. Being so kind to me when I was possessing you, then risking yourself to bring me back from the dead.” He twists a lock of my silver hair around a finger. “And now, to be able to touch you and Calder… to love you both the way you deserve… it’s beyond any fantasy I could have had about how this would turn out.”

I’m blushing at his words. I suppose I’ve never been great with compliments. “I’m happy you’re here with your pack.” I pause, and then ask what I’ve been curious about. “Did you and Calder talk about what you both want moving forward?”

“We did.” Osen steps toward me, further encroaching on my space.

I back up a bit. It’s intimidating, having his commanding presence here in real life. My legs hit the edge of the bed, and my ass lands on the soft mattress behind me.

I look up, my gaze hungrily traveling up his bare muscular chest to his handsome face. I’m keenly aware that my mouth is almost level with the bulge in his pants.

His fingers comb through my hair and massage the back of my head as he gazes down at me adoringly.

I swallow as the silence continues. “And?”

“Do you really believe we wouldn’t want you in any way you’d let us have you?” he asks.

I place my hands on his narrow hips and say, “That’s not exactly what I was wondering.”

“I think it is.” Osen drops his pants, and his erect cock appears in 3D, not far from my face as I take in his thickness. “Calder and I don’t want boundaries between us. Between all three of us. We’d like to continue our individual relationships, and we’d like to have a relationship that is all three of us being intimate together.”

“I like the sound of that, but I’m worried. You already have an established relationship that I might intrude upon when I don’t mean to.”

“It isn’t just about Calder and me together. We both will want alone time with you, too.” His fingers tickle under my chin, and I smile. “We will need to make it clear if we need alone time with a certain person, such as a date or sex. And if there’s no designated parameters, then the third person is free to join in.”

“So if I stumble in on you fucking, I can just grab a dick and play?”

Osen growls with need. “That sounds amazingly hot. I might have to find ways to get caught by either of you.”

My stomach gurgles, and I chuckle. “With the whole Rob torture display, I forgot to eat.”

“I have something for you to eat.” He waves his cock in front of my face.

“Uh, no offense.” I smirk. “But I need more than a protein shake.” Although I’d love to indulge in this, my shoulders slump. I’m feeling the fatigue again from all the magic that has been pushed through me. I wouldn’t be able to actively participate in sex right now. I doubt I even have it in me to orgasm at all.

The bedroom door swings open, and Flint bustles in with a food tray filled with all sorts of treats. He fully ignores the naked sexual energy of Osen towering over me. “In bed, both of you,” he orders, then places the tray over my lap when I comply. “Eat.” He folds his arms and stands there like a warden about to force feed us. “Osen, I remember you enjoyed almond butter and fig jam sandwiches.” He points to the plate with two sandwiches stacked on it.

“Thanks, brother.” Osen smiles widely and moans when he bites into it.

I eat some crackers and cheese, washing it down with some apple juice. Osen shares a bite of his sandwich with me, and I can tell by Flint’s surprised expression it isn’t a normal thing for the incubus to do.

“Why do you look shocked?” I ask Flint through our special mental link.

“Incubi don’t share food from their plates unless it’s with a mate. I didn’t realize his feelings for you were so profound. Even with Calder, he never shared before.”

“So it seems I was meant to be with all of you.”

“ Fated , my Heartstone. I suppose I’m still surprised my entire pack is blessed with such a perfect mate.”

Not long after Osen and I finish our meal, Maxum, Arran, and Calder strut into the bedroom. The space isn’t tiny, but it feels like that now with all the massive, muscly males crammed inside.

“Is he gone?” I ask, staring at my four beautiful guys standing in a line.

Arran rushes over and nuzzles into my cheek. “All gone. We’ve cleaned the house and our bodies of his slimy presence.”

I wrap my arms around Arran’s neck and breathe in his freshly showered scent of lightning storms and sage. “Where are we?”

“It’s a property of an old friend,” Maxum says. “He offered it to me as a safe house in return for a favor I did for his mate. It’s good in a pinch, but we shouldn’t stay here long.”

“Why?”

“We’re in the fae realm. There are too many nosey creatures that might sense your unusual magic since you’re no longer contained.”

I pat at my neck, realizing the concealment talisman is gone. It must have been lost in the fight with Rob at the cafe.

Then panic takes over. “What about my computer?”

“Right here, Heartstone.” Flint points to the corner of the room. “I made sure to grab it.”

“Thank you.” My pulse returns to a normal pace.

I shift to get out of bed, and Maxum charges over, blocking me in. “What are you doing?”

“I thought we had to go because of my weirdo magic.”

His large crimson hand palms my jaw, and he inspects my face and aura. “You’re much more drained than you’re letting on. Rest some more.”

I throw out my lower lip in a pout. “I’m fine. I won’t draw more attention than necessary if I can help it.”

“Flint and I will create a few measures to dissuade anyone from coming too close.” Maxum brushes his thumb over my still pouting lip. “In the meantime, you actually need sleep, no slumber party chats or playing hide the shadowcock with the incubus.”

“Dude, don’t shadowcock block me,” Osen jokes and gives his friend a lopsided grin.

“Fine. I’ll rest,” I concede.

Maxum helps me slide on underwear and a large t-shirt that smells like Arran’s.

Thankfully, the bed is enormous, and we have enough room for Calder and Arran to join Osen and me for a nap.

Because that’s all it’s going to be… a short, little nap.
