Chapter 9 Only an Apology

I cut him off. "Not Li Fei. It's Chen Lu Lu."

Then I laid out the afternoon chat messages and everything Chen Lu Lu had done, one by one.

When the Store Manager finished listening, he rubbed his nose and gave two tactical coughs. "Miss, Chen Lu Lu was wrong here. I'll have her apologize to you. How about that?"

I locked eyes with him. "A moment ago Li Fei made me angry and it was fire her at once. Chen Lu Lu treated a customer like this and even took my Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet, and all she needs is an apology???"

"You're saying Chen Lu Lu stole your bracelet? Where's the proof?"

My gaze stayed cold. "Your store has cameras. One look and you'll know who took it."

The Store Manager's eyes swept over Chen Lu Lu. His lids narrowed a fraction.

"Sorry. The store cameras are broken.

And if you want me to fire Chen Lu Lu, I don't have that authority. I can only pass it up to my superiors!

"Honored guest, is there anything else I can do for you?"

I laughed from pure fury. "With that attitude, I'll take this to the mall."

The Store Manager shrugged like it meant nothing. He swiped his phone a couple of times at random, then held it to his ear.

"You busy? If not, come down. Someone wants to complain! And send the cleaning auntie too."

After he hung up, the Store Manager leaned against the counter, looking completely unbothered.

"I already called mall leadership down. Whatever you've got, you can tell him in a bit!"
