Chapter 360 Janet Behind Closed Doors

When Zara woke up the next morning, she vaguely sensed that something was wrong.

She opened her eyes and saw Lucian standing there with his arms crossed, looking down at her.

That superior posture of his did not waver in the slightest just because Zara had suddenly woken up.

Zara immediately became alert. "What are you doing?"

Lucian gave a soft snort. "What, do you think I have improper thoughts about you? Look at yourself, then look at me. No matter how you calculate it, I'd be the one suffering a loss."

Zara fell silent.

[Starting trouble first thing in the morning. This man must be acting up again.]

Annoyed, Zara pulled the blanket back over herself. "Then why the hell are you staring at me? Stop bothering me. I'm going back to sleep."

She had played the game until the middle of the night yesterday, and right now, Zara felt she could easily sleep for several more hours.

She glanced at the time.

Seven in the morning. She had gone to sleep at three.

"It's such a beautiful morning, and you're just going to curl up here and sleep? Lucian looked her up and down, seeming genuinely incredulous. "Do you know that among the women around me, I have never once seen anyone sleep until noon?"

Zara said, "Now you have."

Lucian was speechless.

But he clearly had no intention of letting it go. He walked over and directly grabbed Zara's blanket. "Get up. I'm taking you to breakfast. I already reserved a place. I'm giving you a chance to see the world, and you're still unwilling? I'll show you what breakfast looks like for rich people."

Zara stared at him. "Isn't it all just food? I can order takeout after I get up."

[Why is this idiot so annoying now?]

Zara simply did not want to move. She held onto the blanket, and Lucian tried tugging it a couple of times out of habit. Unsurprisingly, it did not move.

Their strength was not on the same level at all.

Lucian released the blanket. He had just shaken out his hand and was about to think of another method when he sensed someone approaching the hospital room door.

It did not feel like a spirit.

He turned and saw Janet.

Janet did not seem surprised to see Lucian. But when her gaze lowered and landed on the person still curled up in the hospital bed, she immediately revealed a knowing smile.

"Looks like I came at the wrong time?"

Zara fell silent.

Lucian said seriously, "No. You came at exactly the right time."

Janet nodded. "You said you had something to discuss with me?"

Of course he had something to discuss with her.

Flora was in her hands, yet this woman could still act so calm and composed.

Lucian glanced at Zara, then looked back at Janet with a faint smile. "I do have something to discuss with you. Come in. We'll talk privately inside. It isn't suitable for outsiders to hear."

Zara fell silent.

This lunatic had really gotten addicted to acting.

She pulled the blanket over her head and went back to sleep without hesitation.

Janet looked a little surprised. She raised an eyebrow and glanced at the figure under the blanket. Although Zara's face was covered, Janet knew it had to be her.

Lucian probably would not have brought any other woman here.

In that sense, Janet did understand him fairly well.

The two of them entered the inner room.

Of course, it was not as if no one saw them.

Nicola and Monica had noticed Janet the moment she entered the hospital. Now they followed her over and saw Janet go inside alone with Lucian.

Technically, there was a study in there.

But in Nicola and Monica's eyes, this was completely unacceptable.

Nicola's voice instantly rose. "Boss Lady Zara, did you see that? Lucian took another woman inside! And you're still sleeping here? How can you possibly sleep?"

Zara fell silent.

[One idiot had just left, and now another one had come.]

Monica said to Nicola, "Hey, you don't need to get so worked up. Boss Lady Zara isn't panicking, which means everything is still under her control."

Nicola stared at her. "A whole horse race could happen on her head right now, and you still think it's under control?!"

Zara could not take it anymore. She threw the blanket off. "First Lucian, now you. Can I get one peaceful morning? Do you know what time I went to sleep last night?"

In truth, she had already been woken up enough to feel completely alert.

But somehow, the anger of being dragged out of sleep still lingered.

If she did not sleep until her required time, life simply felt miserable.

Nicola said, "Is that the important part? Isn't the important part that Lucian is cheating?"

Zara replied, "If you can't stand it, why don't you go in and lecture him yourself? He can hear you anyway."

Nicola fell silent.

Then she looked at Zara with great sadness. "Boohoo, I only wanted to help you vent your anger. Why are you treating me like this?"

Zara said, "How exactly are you going to vent? Even if you breathe directly at them, they won't feel it."

Nicola was silent.

That hurt.

Even if it was true.

Zara pushed the blanket aside. Only then did she realize that two buttons on her pajama top had come undone, leaving the fabric slightly loose.

It was not enough to expose anything, but it did look a little improper.

She had not noticed while sleeping.

But if Lucian had actually pulled the blanket off earlier...

Nicola immediately let out a small gasp. "Oh..."

Not bad.

And so pale...

Tsk.

Nicola suddenly felt that her thoughts had become impure.

Zara calmly buttoned herself up. "Don't you have your own?"

Nicola fell silent.

Monica could not hold it in anymore. "Aha, she really doesn't."

Nicola snapped, "...Monica, personal attacks are extremely rude."

This was a very painful topic for a woman.

Although Zara was only staying at the hospital temporarily, she still had spare clothes and personal items to change into.

As for why?

Don't ask.

The answer was simply: the happiness of rich people.

Zara changed, brushed her teeth, washed her face, and busied herself for a while.

By the time she finished, Janet finally came out of Lucian's room.

A man and a woman alone in the same room could make anyone's imagination run wild.

But Zara merely glanced at Janet calmly, then silently calculated the time.

Tsk.

Lucian really was no good at bed.

Nicola was still beside her, glaring at Janet so angrily that her teeth practically itched. She had no idea that the person she was getting angry for was currently thinking nothing but nonsense.

When Janet saw that Zara was awake, she smiled. "You're awake, Zara?"
