Chapter 36

Chapter Thirty-Six

Mila

“You are a lunatic!” I laugh as Kash’s large body crashes onto me. His arms bracket on either side of my head, keeping some of his weight from crushing me.

He raises his head from my chest and looks at me with amusement. “Yes, but I’m your lunatic, and don’t you forget it,” he replies, kissing my nose.

Shaking my head, I push him to lie on his back.

As he moves, I sit up and straddle his lap.

“How could I forget?” I grin, leaning down to kiss where my lips lay on his neck.

Knowing that he put my kiss there permanently gives me a warm feeling in my chest. It makes me feel special. It makes me feel seen.

A flash of lightning flickers beyond the window, illuminating the room, followed by a rumble of thunder. “Better get to coloring before we lose power, Sunshine.”

Pulling out a yellow marker, I concentrate first on one of the tattoos taking up a portion of his rib.

There’s a large tree with heavy branches, and a trunk that curves up his side.

I have no doubt it hurt; there’s no way it didn’t.

Behind the tree is what looks like the moon, and as I trace the marker around the circular area, I feel him shiver beneath me.

Meeting his gaze, I look at him with concern. “Is it cold?”

“Opposite actually.” He gives me a lopsided grin.

Rolling my eyes, I swap out the yellow for a red marker, adding flowers to the edges of the smaller lined branches for a pop of color. “Why’d you get this one?” I ask, pulling out a green one next to add some grass underneath.

Kash squirms underneath me, his eyes focused on my movements. “Trees are sturdy, you know? Their roots stretch deep into the ground, holding on for dear life.” He shifts beneath me, and I feel his hardness resting at my core. Rocking my hips just a bit, I tease him with the movement.

His eyes flash to mine, nostrils flaring. “Unless you want to cut coloring time short, I suggest you watch how you sit, baby.”

A flash of heat courses through me, and suddenly I’m not so sure I want to continue coloring.

The rain is picking up outside, and I’m about to make a comment when the thunder cracks loudly in the sky, making me jump.

Sitting up quickly, Kash pulls me into his arms, the marker now squished between us.

“Do you think—” I start to ask about the lights when they go out, bathing us in darkness.

Pulling me tighter against his chest, Kash slides his hands up my shirt.

Well, his shirt, but I’ve been wearing it since we got out of bed the first time.

My body lights up as he trails his fingertips across my back, to my shoulders, and down my arms. Lightning flashes in the sky, the room only visible by the small flame from the candle he lit.

“Don’t be afraid. I’ll protect you,” he murmurs, his eyes focused on mine. Even in the darkness, I can feel his gaze.

“From what?” I whisper back, tightening my hold of him.

“Everything but me.” He slams his lips to mine, only moving them for a moment to rip his shirt from over my head, leaving me naked in his lap.

“Kash,” I breathe his name. I didn’t think it was possible to feel this way about anyone, especially in a short period of time. I’ve been falling this whole time and didn’t even realize it. With each little act of adoration, or piece of himself he shared, I fell for Kash.

The truth hits me harder than I thought it would.

I care about his happiness. I care about his heart.

I care about being the one to make him smile, and to never dim the part of him that he’s worked so hard to achieve.

After losing his dad at a young age, and his mom’s abandonment, Kash chose to be happy.

He chose to rise above all the bad, and yeah, for a while it was in the form of a revolving door of women, but he has so much to offer a person.

Now I realize he was just afraid. Kash is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met, and a part of me still wonders what he sees in me, but I’m done doubting him. Done doubting us.

I’ll protect him from all the hurt the world could offer, the same as he wants to protect me.

“Mila. Fuck,” he rasps, turning us over so my back hits the bed.

Leaning up, I fuse my mouth to his, enjoying the way he shivers beneath my touch. I run my hands across his muscular shoulders and arms, then trail a path down his back, dragging my nails as I go. My body is on fire, and I have no doubt it’s always going to be this way between us.

Pulling my lips from his, I push the hair hanging over me back. His eyes flare with heat as he meets my gaze. “Mila?”

“Kash?”

“You know I love you, right? That I would die if it meant you’d live?”

Swallowing back the lump threatening to come up, I nod. “Kash, I—”

“Not yet.” He shakes his head. “Not when we’re in bed. Not when it’s the heat of the moment.”

I kiss his neck, then run my tongue up the side, tasting his skin and gliding over my lips stationed there. It’s my favorite tattoo and I’m not even ashamed to admit it. Moving to his ear, I tug it between my teeth, enjoying the way he groans.

“I need you,” I whisper.

When he pulls back, I immediately miss the warmth of his body. For such a big, muscular man, Kash is still soft and smooth planes. Shoving down his boxers, Kash immediately moves over me, arms braced on either side of my head. His hair tickles my cheeks, making me smile.

“Is something funny, Mila?”

“Only you, Casanova.”

Sealing his lips over mine, Kash moves his hand down my body. He stops to tweak my nipple between his fingers before squeezing my breast.

“Your body is perfect. Every part of you is perfect.” He hovers his mouth above mine, our breaths mingling together.

Resting his forehead against mine for a moment, he lowers himself between my legs. Panicking, I grab his arm to stop him. We didn’t really clean up earlier, and I think he’s so caught up in the moment that he forgot. “Um, Kash. Maybe we should wait.”

Pausing, his confused expression finds mine. “For what?”

“Well, we didn’t shower yet, and—”

“And what?”

Sighing in exasperation, I cover my face and blurt, “And there’s probably still some of your cum inside of me.”

“I fucking hope so.” He growls, then covers my pussy with his mouth. He wastes no time licking and tasting every inch of me.

Electricity scorches my body with every lash of his tongue. I jolt when he adds a finger and sucks my clit into his mouth. My fingers move to his shoulders, grabbing a hold of his taunt skin. “Good God, Kash.”

Pulling his head back, he gives my pussy one long lick and rotates his finger, hooking it inside of me, his heated gaze finding mine. “Good God, huh? I think I like that. A good God for a good girl. What a match we are.”

“Don’t tease me.” I don’t think I can take much more. My skin feels so tight, and every time he moves, my body lights up.

“I’ll do what I want to you, Mila.” He adds a second finger, stretching me further.

“I’ll fuck you with my tongue, my fingers, whatever I want, and you’re going to just take it.

” He sucks my clit into his mouth, making me cry out again.

Though it borders on painful, it feels so good. “Do you know why?”

“Why?” I whimper.

“Because I fucking said so, and because you belong to me.” He hits something inside me that sends fire through my body. “Because you’re my good, sweet Sunshine, who gives me what I want, and what I want is for you to come. Can you do that, baby? Can you be my good girl and come all over my hand?”

Whimpering his name, I arch my back off the bed, grinding into him. I want whatever he’s offering me if this is how it feels. “Please.” I don’t care how needy I sound.

“What do you need, Mila? Tell me.”

“You. Just you, Kash,” I cry out honestly. I’ll take him in any way he’s offering.

“Then you’ve got me.” He removes his fingers and plunges into me in one brutal thrust.

My eyes squeeze shut, tears threatening to spill over. I feel Kash’s hand skate up my body as I adjust to his size. He’s not small, and even though I’m wet, his intrusion takes me by surprise.

“Open your eyes, Mila. Look at me when I take you. When I’m taking what’s mine.” My eyes fly open and my heart skips a beat at the sight. Kash is moving in and out of my body, moaning and clenching his jaw. His hair hangs loosely, making him look even more wild.

Reaching up, I grab his hair, yanking his head down to mine so I can claim his lips. I need his kisses more than I need air. Moving my hips against him, I feel a familiar ache building. Our breaths are coming out in short, quick pants, my thighs slick with my arousal.

“You feel so good, Mila. So fucking perfect, so warm, so mine.” He leans down and takes one of my nipples in his mouth.

There’s a brief sting when he tugs on it, but the sensation is quickly replaced when he runs his tongue around it.

Kash repeats the movement with my other breast, no doubt leaving a mark.

“You take me so damn good,” he praises me while punctuating each word with a harsh thrust. “So. Damn. Good.”

Kash maneuvers my lower half and lifts me so I’m practically in his lap.

I waste no time curling my body around his, as he changes the angle and slams back into me.

I grab his arm to steady myself and whimper.

He’s so deep inside of me, I don’t know where we end or begin.

I look down and watch his cock sliding in and out of me and feel myself flush.

“You like watching me fuck you? Hmm? Do you like watching my cock destroy this sweet little pussy?” He uses his hand to smack my clit, making me arch my back with a cry, sending him deeper into me.

“This little pussy was meant for me. You were meant for me. You were meant to take my cum, my heart, and my name.”

“Yes,” I cry out, agreeing to all of it. He’s wrecking my body, my heart and psyche, and I might just thank him for it. “Need you, Kash.”

“I know you do, Sweet Girl.” He smirks, ramming into me, grinding his pelvic bone against my clit. “I’m all you need.”

He pulls one of my legs to rest on his chest and shoulder, pushing into me, hitting the right spot, over and over. Our sounds of pleasure filter through the dark room, playing on a loop with the storm outside. That familiar ache starts to build in me, and I grab his arm, digging my nails in.

“That’s right. Mark me, Mila. I’ll get those tattooed as well.

You’re going to be all over my skin for the world to see.

” He pulls back, rocking into me. When he rolls his hips, I detonate.

Pleasure fires through every nerve of my body, from my toes to fingertips; I can feel it everywhere.

Coming all over Kash, I drop my hand from his arm and pull his face to mine.

Swallowing his groans of pleasure, I feel his release inside of me. His cum fills me, warming my body from the inside. Wrapping my legs around his waist, I pull him deeper. It’s dangerous, but I can’t help but need him closer.

As we kiss roughly, we’re all teeth and tongues, trying to take each other’s breath away. He dips into me a few more times, then pulls back. Looking down at me, he presses small kisses on each of my cheeks, then my forehead. “I love you so fucking much, Mila. So fucking much.”

Laying his head down on my chest, Kash slides gently out of me and covers my body with his.

I wrap my arms around his shoulders and hug him tighter to me.

I need this moment as much as he does. I don’t trust myself to say the words yet, even though I think I feel them.

One thing is for sure: I can’t hurt him.

I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I did.

Kissing the top of his head, I stroke his hair as the rain pounds against our building outside.

The electricity remains off as we lie in the silence together.

He doesn’t say anything for a while and eventually his breathing evens out in sleep.

Settling for a half-truth, I run my hand across the arm slung over me and whisper, “You mean more to me than I was ready for, Casanova.”
