JAY’S JOURNAL
Sasha has been insufferable – using the fact that she's graduating and moving across the country as an excuse for why we have to give in to her ideas. Mainly, we’ve been up late with her on weekends and doing little errands for her: combing out her wigs, helping her get organized for the big move.
Truthfully, I am annoyed because I am going to miss her.
I am so grateful that she carved out a corner for us in her home.
It is crazy how quickly time is moving. I am almost done with my first year here.
So much has happened. I feel light years away from the girl who showed up for move-in day.
I have learned more shit than I ever thought I would.
Yes, about computers, but also just about myself.
Finding the Collective, Mickey, I am just really grateful.
I have shared all this and more with Diana.
It sounds like she’s changing, too. I wonder if the ways that we are changing will find their ways to each other.
But for now, I am content with where we are.
I don’t think it will all feel real till I can see her again in person.
That’s when I want to tell her about Mickey and everything we have found together.
I think there is a part of me that feels like I should tell her face to face.
Our last face-to-face conversation was an ending, I need the next one to be a beginning.
With me, Mickey, and the life I build here, which is something I can’t put into an email.
Oh, and Alex came and sat with me and Davis last night when we were working together on one of my projects.
I don’t think Alex realized why Davis has been helping me all this time till I told him.
I don’t know, but that seemed to change things.
I mean, I don’t expect Alex to come out with all of us on a weekend, but he seems to be warming up, to me at least during my time with Davis.
Well he’s certainly warming up to Davis.
Davis is still pretty tight-lipped about his relationship with Alex, but he does get a somewhat dreamy and goofy expression on his face when Alex is around and he thinks no one is watching.
It’s been really weird watching a real life Ken go dreamy-eyed.
But Alex is smoking hot, I think it's the hair and the green eyes, and the freckles. Or maybe it’s the whole “lone wolf” thing.
Either way, Alex also seems to be pretty cool too. So if they’re happy, I’m happy.
In love and excited for others to find theirs,
Jay
