Chapter 6 #3
“So ye are no’ a dead fish after all,” he said with a chuckle.
He picked up her hand and brought it to his hardened form, closing his hand over hers and making her feel his need for her.
He was hot and hard. Silk over steel. It excited her, making her squirm beneath him. She needed to feel him inside her body.
“Just do it, already,” she begged, feeling the desire within her starting to consume her.
She needed to find release and he was teasing her in a way she wasn’t used to at all.
Like a tempter, when he played with her body he played with her hidden emotions, bringing them dangerously close to the surface.
She found it hard to hold back any longer.
“Tell me ye want me first. As no’ only as yer lover but as yer husband as well,” Shaw whispered in her ear.
“Stop it,” she said, raising her knees as he slipped a finger inside her. She wet her lips with the tip of her tongue, squeezing her eyes closed as she felt her body coming to life in a way she had never experienced before.
“Stop it?” His hand stilled. “All right. If that’s what ye want, lass.” Then, to her horror, he pulled away.
Her eyes flew open. “Nay,” she said, pushing up to a sitting position. “I meant to stop the teasin’ and the talkin’ only.”
“Mayhap we should wait,” he suggested. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion.
She was sure this was the last thing he wanted to do, so why was he acting this way?
No longer able to withstand his torturous game, she pulled him down on the bed next to her and took the place of aggressor instead.
If she wanted something done, she would just take control.
“Och, I should have seen that comin’ from a lass like ye!
” He laughed. And when he did, it only made him more desirable.
His low chuckle rumbled, making him seem even more manly.
His eyes lit up playfully and his face took on an entirely new composure.
He had the happiness of a wee lad, mixed with the sensuality of a randy man.
She wanted him – she needed him – and she was going to have him one way or another.
She lowered her body to his. When she did, he fastened his hands to her hips.
“Are ye sure ye dinna need me to be gentle?” he asked through ragged breathing.
“Are ye sure ye dinna need me to be gentle instead?” She matched him with his question.
There were no more words from that point on, but only moans of ecstasy and passion as he entered her and they melded into one.
Spring felt the intense heat of her core as he slid his length into her and then pulled back out.
She held her breath and then released it, enjoying every sensuous second of his thrusts.
Her body welcomed him. She never wanted this to end since it felt so good.
Before she knew it, he’d flipped her over onto her back and thrust into her again.
She boldly wrapped her legs around his waist, this time, and pulled him down closer to her for another kiss.
The bed ropes creaked under their weight, moaning like them during their vigorous lovemaking.
The headboard thumped against the wall with every thrust, bringing more rhythm to their dance of wild and passionate pleasure.
This went on for a while, both of them continuously flipping the other over to play the aggressor. Then he bit at her earlobe playfully with his lips. “I canna hold back any longer, lass, even though I dinna want this to end. I am waitin’ for ye.”
She knew what he meant. He wanted to please her first before he was sated.
Never had a man even considered her pleasure in the throes of coupling before.
This pleased her and melted the coldness of her warrior heart.
Before she knew it, she’d reached her climax, crying out loudly in elation as she surrendered to the emotions trapped inside her for so many years.
He followed suit and then it was over. Her naked body collapsed against his and his arms wrapped around her in a protective hold.
With one last creak, the bed ropes broke, sending them falling to the floor atop the pallet.
They both burst out in laughter. Shaw held her tightly in his arms and she never wanted him to let go.
“We are married now, Spring,” he said, trying to regain his breath. He kissed her gently on the head.
Her heart soared. He’d called her Spring and he’d made sure she was pleasured first. This meant everything to her.
She never thought she’d feel something so caring as long as she lived.
No longer able to hold back her emotions, a flood of tears spilled forth.
Her body shook as she sobbed, releasing the pent-up emotions she’d held inside her entire life.
He wiped away her tears with his hand, and cuddled her and comforted her, making her feel like a child again.
He ran his hand up and down her back as he kissed her atop her head.
It felt so good and comforting that she was almost glad she’d dropped the walls between them.
But then she realized just what was happening here and it wasn’t a good thing.
She cursed inwardly. Because of Shaw Gordon, she was now a vulnerable woman!
