Chapter 19 Your Woman
YOUR WOMAN
“Did we really just do that?”
Matt turned his head to look at Anya’s face from where she flopped after she came.
Man did she come hard.
Her body had been tense, her arms shaking as she’d held herself over him, her knees squeezing his hips.
She had to be exhausted from the muscle strain alone.
“We did. Regrets?” he asked.
She shook her head, her eyes searching his face, then landing on his smile. Slowly she matched the grin.
“Nope. My brain is catching up to what my body experienced.”
His hand slid over and brushed a strand of her light hair from her cheek. She didn’t appear to notice that the end was almost in her mouth.
“I feel the same.” He moved off the bed to go to his bathroom and take care of the condom. He didn’t want to break this moment they’d shared but knew the world couldn’t cease to exist while he reveled in their afterglow.
Shit, he sounded like such a wuss with those thoughts.
Thoughts he’d had in his head since he was a teen.
But if they’d done this a decade ago it would have never felt as it did now.
He rushed into the bathroom and returned to his room to see Anya sitting on the edge of the bed with her bra and underwear on and swallowed the sigh thrashing about to escape.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“Nothing.”
“Matt. I’ve known you most of my life. Granted, I missed over ten years, but I still can tell when your mood has changed.”
His head bobbed side to side.
He told her to trust him and that meant being honest.
“I had hoped you wouldn’t rush to get out of bed.”
She closed one eye at him, her cheek going up slightly, her lip curling. Not a sneer, but the tip of annoyance.
“It’s not as if I’m slamming and departing.”
This time his face mirrored hers. “Slamming and departing? Is that what it’s called now?”
She giggled. “It’s whatever we want to call it and I’ve got to pee. Out of my way.”
She moved past him, her arm brushing him aside in an exaggerated movement.
He appreciated she was making a joke out of it and lightening the mood.
He reached for his shorts and underwear and slipped them back on.
She was right. She wasn’t leaving, only going to the bathroom.
He’d feed her, then try to talk her into coming back to his bed.
Ten seconds later he heard loud laughter coming from his bathroom.
The toilet flushed and it was even louder.
What the hell was going on in there?
She opened the door and walked out.
“You’ve got a bidet?”
He snorted over the humor in her voice, not to mention the tears running down her cheeks as she continued to laugh.
“What’s wrong with wanting a clean tushy?”
The roaring of laughter while she rolled on the bed and held her side wasn’t appreciated.
“That’s the name of the device too. I know. I looked at it.”
He picked her shorts and T-shirt up and tossed them at her.
They hit her square in the face but didn’t stop her amusement.
“Get dressed,” he said. “Then I can exert my manliness and provide food for my woman.”
She pulled her shirt over her head and then stood to put her shorts on.
“Am I your woman?”
He wrapped his arm around her waist and yanked her to his side.
“You are. Got a problem with it?”
“Nope. Not with that or your fancy tushy.”
She slapped his ass and he wondered which one of them was more of the joker.
“You know, if the roles were reversed, would you be mad if I was busting on you about this?”
Her smile dropped. “I’m sorry. I’m not trying to insult you.”
“You’re not. I was asking a question.”
“Then no, I wouldn’t be. If it’s something that I’d use regardless, I wouldn’t care. You’re not alone, I’m sure.”
“I’m not,” he said primly. “During the great toilet paper shortage, I wasn’t sweating it like other people were.”
Her head went back as she howled in delight. “Oh my God, Matt. That’s hilarious.”
“Have you ever tried one before?”
“No,” she said. “I’ll stop laughing. I promise. I’ve seen a few in houses I’ve shown. It’s not unheard of.”
“I know it’s not,” he said. “I’m telling you, they are great.”
“Okay. I’ll stop laughing and try it.”
“Now,” he said.
“What?”
“I want you to try it now. I mean it. It’s not just for the tush.” He pointed his finger at her. “Don’t laugh. I could say ass, but you know, the brand is tushy, so it goes.”
“Yep, it’s for going.”
He rolled his eyes. “Talk about taking this too far.”
He grabbed her hand and pulled her to the bathroom.
“You want me to drop my shorts and sit on it with you here? Not happening. I don’t pee in front of people.”
“No,” he said. That might be a little too personal for them. For anyone. He knew many people who did it and he wasn’t at that step. Some things should be done behind a closed door. “I’m going to show you how it works.”
He set everything on low and the button to push, then left the bathroom and shut the door.
There was a shriek and then laughter. “That’s cold,” she screamed through the closed door.
He heard her laughing some more and then it stopped and she came out.
“Well?”
“Okay. I’ll admit once you know what to expect, it’s not half bad.”
“There you go,” he said. “Now you know one of my secrets. I like a clean tush.”
“Please stop calling it a tush. I just can’t.”
A few tears rolled down her cheek from the ridiculousness of it. He was pushing it now and knew it, but it’d been so long since he’d seen her let go like this.
Not even at Carowinds did she seem to have as good of a time.
“I hadn’t realized you found such humor in bathroom conversation.”
She slipped her arm around his waist. “I don’t make a habit of having bathroom conversations, but thanks for the laughs. I needed it.”
“I’m glad. Could be I was going for that.”
She spun. “Really?”
“Yeah. It worked.”
“And you didn’t overdo it. If anything, I did. I guess I get it.”
His fingers gave her side a bit of a squeeze. “You got it. On the bed. I gave it to you good. Did you get as much pleasure out of that as you did joking at my expense over my bathroom habits?”
She turned to face him. “Matt, you’ve given me a lot tonight. No joking. No laughing. I’m not sure what we’ve got or where it can go. Where it will go. But I haven’t felt this free of stress or worry in so long that I forgot what it was like.”
“I’m glad,” he said. He would not be hurt by her other words. That she didn’t know what they had or where it could go. He knew exactly what he wanted, but she wasn’t even close to thinking about it let alone hearing it. “Now I can feed you.”
“And I’m going to let you. Then we can come right back to this room and you can do the work the second time.”
He leaned down to kiss her. “You’ve got yourself a deal.”
