Chapter Nine- Buddha #2

“This is what we were able to find out. At the gate of the premises, there are three guards, sometimes four. Inside the house, though, we got no fucking clue how many mothafuckas he has in there with him. What we do know is that once we get inside that mothafucking house…we shooting everything and anything that moves.” I spoke to the four Russians and my brother.

We had stopped at the side of the road a safe distance away from where we found out where Francesco and Luca were staying.

Snow got the weapons we needed from the trunk and handed them out. Between us, we had the AR-15s, two each, strapped to our chests with gun straps. Three 9 mm each in our waist and a Desert Eagle in our hands. The Russians each had a Beretta Rx4 Storm as if we were invading fucking Ukraine.

“Alright, fellas. Let’s go do what we came here to do!” I shouted, signaling for everyone to hop in their vehicles so we could go.

“Aye,” I stopped Snow, grabbing his upper arm. “We got this. Let’s get in, get those fuckers, and go back home to the people we love…alright.” I said, grabbing Snow by the back of his head, pressing our foreheads together as I spoke to him.

“We got this,” Snow said, nodding his head repeatedly. We tore apart and headed for the Hummer. We both weren’t 100% healed from our old injuries of being shot less than two months ago, but we couldn’t let that slow us down. We were the ones leading the Russians; they were our backup.

Snow got behind the wheel of the Hummer and drove us to the destination.

Slipping the camo ski mask over my face so only my eyes were exposed, I paused and looked at the wedding ring on my finger.

I didn’t have time to become emotional, but one thing was certain: I was making it back home to my wife.

As we got closer to Francesco’s hideout house, I reached for the handle above my head and squeezed that mothafucka as I held on for dear life.

“Hang on fratello (brother),” Snow said, mashing hard on the gas.

I prepared myself as we charged forward, about to ram the front gate, because we were getting onto that premise one way or another.

I closed my eyes and held my breath as Snow muttered a string of curse words as he crashed into the front gate.

My head bumped against the passenger window as the Hummer forced its way through the gates.

“Fuck!” I shouted when a total of six men gathered in front of the Hummer with their weapons drawn, and we were immediately greeted with gunfire.

Snow and I covered ourselves by ducking as low as we could inside the vehicle.

The windshield held up as long as it could against the hail of bullets, but eventually it shattered.

Glass fragments rained down on us as the bullets continued. We waited a few more seconds, and then everything stopped. I knew we didn’t have long. I signaled to my brother to open the door. We both stayed down as we pushed our doors open.

From behind the safety of the open door, we returned fire on the six men.

Bullets were flying everywhere as Snow and I emptied our clip from the Desert Eagle gun.

Everything suddenly went quiet. We had no idea how many men we hit.

There was only one way to find out. I looked at my brother, and he looked at me, taking a deep breath. I nodded at him before we both stood.

Holding one of the AR-15s, I immediately started shooting, and so did Francesco’s men. Thank God our firepower was stronger. Snow and I fired relentlessly at the six men, whom we thought were going to be four. Holding the gun steady, I released a flow of bullets, easily taking out two of the men.

Shifting my focus on the remaining four, Snow’s bullets pierced three of the four men in seconds.

Lifting my rifle and aiming it at the last guy, my red light pointed right at the middle of his forehead.

Before I could squeeze the trigger, he released a couple of rounds, and one hit me in the chest.

“Fuck!” I yelled when the force of the bullet hit my vest. I quickly realized that was the last of his bullets and squeezed my trigger. The man fell to the ground. I had no doubt he was dead.

Sticking my hand inside my shirt, I felt the bullet stuck in the vest, and I knew I was safe.

“Shit,” I muttered, thankful that I wasn’t hit.

“You good?” Snow asked. I looked over at him and nodded before looking to the back of us. The Russians were now making their grand appearance…lazy mothafuckas.

“Let’s keep going. Keep your eyes open,” I said, pointing my index and middle fingers at my eyes for emphasis. Snow nodded in agreement as we made our way toward the house, jogging cautiously. As we got closer to the front door, something didn’t feel right because there was nobody there.

“Hold up,” I said, lifting my hand as my steps came to a halt. I stood and stared at the door, wondering why there would be guards at the gate but none at the door.

“What is it?” One of the Russians asked. I shook my head as I kept staring at the door.

“Something’s not ri—” Before I could finish my sentence, the door suddenly opened, and a barrage of men came running out, firing like crazy.

“Heads up!” I shouted, raising my rifle and wasting no time as I began shooting.

I remained focused, knowing I couldn’t take my eyes off the front door.

This time, the Russians assisted and held their own.

A total of ten men came out the front door, and one by one we took them out.

I felt like I was in a real-life version of the video game Fortnite.

I took a deep breath about six minutes after, once Francesco’s men were dead. Pulling the camo mask down, I exhaled a sigh of relief, wiping sweat off my forehead as I looked over at my brother.

“You good fratello (brother)?”

“Yeah, I’m good, let’s go get those fuckers.” Snow said, pointing at the door. I nodded in agreement. Turning around to face the Russians, so that I could address them.

“When we get in there, we should spread out and look for the two men. There may still be security on the inside, so everyone needs to be alert and keep their eyes open.”

Pulling the mask back into place, I covered my mouth and nose.

I began walking forward along with my brother and the others.

We had to step over ten dead bodies before we cautiously made our way inside the house.

As soon I stepped inside the living room, I was greeted by Francesco standing in the middle of the room, pointing two 9mm guns, looking scary as fuck.

I pulled the camo mask down and smiled as I held up my hand, signaling for the Russians not to shoot.

“You men search the rest of the house and find his son. I got this,” I said, never taking my eyes off Francesco.

“Are you sure? We have strict orders to make sure you carry out the deed of taking them out.”

“I know that, and one is missing. Which is why y’all need to fan out, search all the rooms, and find him.

Francesco is mine and my brother's to handle,” I said with a cocky grin when I saw the way Francesco was practically shitting on himself.

He always was a scary, goofy pussy that hid behind our father, who was the real mothafucking G.

The Russians did as they were told and left in search of Luca.

“Where’s your son?” I asked, keeping an eye on his finger, making sure he wasn’t about to squeeze the trigger.

“I sent him away; I knew you were coming,” Francesco answered, taking a shaky step backward.

I was already bored by this interaction, so I took a seat on the sofa behind me, hugging the AR-15s to my chest. My eyes quickly noticed on the small glass table in front of me a bottle of whiskey and two glasses.

Both glasses had alcohol in them. Francesco and someone had been drinking, and if I had one guess, he was drinking with his son.

I acted as though I hadn’t seen anything and focused on the man.

Snow never lowered his rifle; he had it pointed directly at Francesco.

Even if he were brave enough to fire at me, my brother would quickly return the favor. I wasn’t even worried in the least.

“Where are the black diamonds you stole from us?” I asked in a nonchalant tone as I picked up the very expensive bottle of whiskey and placed it to my mouth. I took a very generous gulp as I waited for Francesco to reply.

“I sent those along with Luca, also. You’ll never find my son or those fucking diamonds,” Francesco said that shit with his chest, as though he was super proud he stole from his family.

I made a face, nodding my head as I listened, and then took another drink of the alcohol.

It burned my chest like a mothafucka as it ran down my throat.

“Ahhh, so what now, uncle? Are you going to shoot your two nephews? I mean, we family,” I asked with a dramatic shrug of my shoulders. Francesco started laughing like a maniac while shaking his head.

“Family? You never once considered me your family…never,” Francesco’s face changed as he glared at me angrily.

“You know what? You’re fucking right, I never trusted you or your fuck face son, and from the looks of things, I'm right to do so. However, the one person who trusted you and saw you as family was our father. Yet, you had the fucking audacity to fuck him over and try to kill him. Really, mothafucka?” I said, putting the bottle of whiskey back on the glass table.

The two ARs were still strapped across my chest.

“If I’m being honest, Tomasso was the last person I wanted to hurt.

I thought he was only sending you and Snow that day to make the deal with the Russians.

He told me it was just going to be you two; he wasn’t supposed to be there, and he wasn’t supposed to get hurt,” Francesco waved one of his arms around as he spoke.

I kept my composure because this is what I needed to happen.

I needed to keep him talking so he would let his guard down.
