Chapter Nine- Buddha #3
“Well damn, unc! You only wanted to kill his sons and just leave with all the diamonds? How in the fuck did you plan to explain that to our father? You and Luca were the only survivors while his two sons lay dead on the ground. That’s fucked up, even for you,” I said, wagging my index finger while shaking my head.
“You two never liked me or my son; I wouldn’t have shed a tear, and I had it all planned out what I was going to tell Tomasso.
Catalina assured me that our plan would work.
I’m so sorry that those shooters we hired didn’t take the head shots as I told them to, or you two wouldn’t be standing here right now,” Francesco was beginning to piss a nigga off, quite frankly.
The more he spoke, the more I wanted Snow to shoot his deceitful ass. I rubbed my chin thoughtfully.
“Speaking of Catalina. Where the fuck is she and her son? Do you know she threw you and Edwardo under the bus? That fucking bitch had everyone wrapped around her pretty little finger,” I smirked at the way Francesco’s face changed. He was shocked, no doubt, to hear me say what I did.
“Catalina wouldn’t do that; she loves me,” my head jerked back at his admission. This goofy really had more balls than brains. He teamed up with Edwardo all the while lusting after his wife; this shit got crazier by the minute.
“Loves you? You stupid mothafucka, you really believed she loved you? She was using you to get those diamonds. Loved you, she couldn’t wait to suck my dick after all these years.
She still remembered the way I liked it too, wrapping her tongue around my head, saliva running down her chin as she begged me to nut in her mouth,” I lied through my fucking teeth, knowing that would do nothing but piss Francesco off.
“Shut the fuck up!” He shouted. His reaction wasn’t quick enough, I saw as he began to squeeze the trigger, but my brother and I were way quicker.
We both started shooting at the same time, causing Francesco to fall to the ground.
Standing up, I walked over to him and stared down.
Francesco’s eyes were opened as he looked at the ceiling.
He was no longer moving, thankfully, because I was sick of hearing him speak.
“This shit is off the chain. Catalina really had everyone believing her lies,” Snow muttered as he stood next to me. I rubbed my forehead as I stared angrily at Francesco’s. The sounds of footsteps pulled my attention, and I turned around.
The Russians were returning, one at a time. Unfortunately, no one seemed to be carrying Luca.
“Did y’all find him?” I asked.
“Na, the house was clear, but we did find her,” one of the men replied, pointing at somebody. In walked Angel, crying with a terrified look on her face. I stared at her in shock because she was the last person I expected to see.
“Snow?” She said in disbelief.
“Angel, what the fuck are you doing here?” Snow said, running toward her. She leaped into his arms, throwing her hands around his neck, hugging him tightly. I breathed a sigh of relief because the mystery of where she had disappeared to was finally answered.
“My fucking father sent me with them. Mervin told him he wasn’t about to take care of another man’s baby, so my father sent me away.
They took my phone and locked me in a room.
I wasn’t mistreated or anything, but they told me that I had to lay low until my father came to get me,” Angel explained, as Snow caressed her face with a worried expression.
“Is the baby ok?” He asked softly as though he was afraid of what his answer might be. Angel nodded enthusiastically.
“Yeah, our baby is fine.” She took Snow’s hand, resting it on her stomach. They both smiled before they embraced one another again, and Snow kissed her lovingly.
“What now? The other man needs to be caught. Yelena isn’t going to be happy about this,” one of the Russians asked. I sighed loudly, staring at Francesco because I had no clue where Luca could be. I also needed to find this Ralph guy who killed my dog.
“We would stay a couple of days longer and see if we can find him. Y’all can report back to your boss and tell her I need a little more time, but I’ll find Luca,” I said, taking the guns off that were strapped around me.
“We’ll look together.”
“Fair enough, let’s go before the policia (police) get here,” I said, as I started making my way to the front door.
“Wait…” Angel said. We all watched as she walked over to a picture hanging on the wall and took it down. Stuck behind the picture was a small black velvet bag. Untying it, Angel opened the palm of her hand. A bunch of black diamonds rolled out, and she held them out to me.
“Mothafucka,” I muttered, walking over to her. “How did you know it was there?” I asked, taking one of the diamonds from her hand and holding it up to the light.
“I paid attention when Luca and Francesco were talking. I heard them say where it was hidden. Luca was here, but the moment he heard the gunshots at the gate, he ran off. I had my ear against the door and listened as he shouted to his father that he was jumping out the window. I don’t know where he ran off to, though.
” I frowned as I listened to Angel. That means Luca couldn’t be that far away.
I was certain we would be able to find him.
I counted the diamonds and realized they weren’t all here. “Some of the diamonds are missing,” I told Snow.
“Yeah, Francesco gave some to Catalina.” Angel clarified.
“Do you know where she is now?” Snow asked, but Angel shook her head.
“No, I’m not certain, but if I had to guess, I’d say far away from here, like back to America. I know my father’s dead, and if I know that means she knows also,” Angel’s explanations were indeed a big help.
“Thanks, Angel. We need to leave.” I said, taking the diamonds and placing them back into the velvet bag.
Without another word being said, we all walked toward the front door.
It was one hell of a night, but only part of the drama was done.
Now we needed to find Luca and Catalina, and we had no idea where the fuck they were.
I looked at my brother and the way he kept fussing over Angel, I couldn’t help but smile. I was happy he got his girl back. We walked over or around dead body after dead body as we made our way to the Hummer.
Just as I sat in the backseat, allowing Angel to sit up front with her man, I released a tired sigh as I rubbed the bridge of my nose.
Snow pulled away from the house as I sat low in the backseat.
As we made our way back to the hotel, I unbuttoned my shirt to remove the bulletproof vest. I stared at the bullet that would have shot me had it not been for this vest.
Shaking my head, I placed the vest on the seat next to me as my phone began ringing in my pants pocket. I took it out, and a feeling that I couldn’t explain took over me when I saw it was Dior calling.
“Hey, baby, all is well. We’re driving back to the hotel. You miss me?” I asked, smiling, happy to know that pretty soon I was going home to my wife.
