Chapter 2
Summer
Everyone joins Nick and me for a run before breakfast. I pick a trail from our map to try, and then we are off.
The trees surround us, and we feel the force of a different, but equally strong natural energy.
I see a few squirrels running up trees and hear the odd bird call, but it’s mostly the sound of our feet scuffing the pine needles below our shoes and the increased breathing of the guys.
“Fine,” he grunts.
“You’ve been distant since the court case.
Even when you’re with us, you’re on your laptop.
I understand why, but we haven’t seen or heard from your dad since that day.
Maybe you can still keep an eye out, but step back, too.
We’ll be careful, but you’re going to burn yourself out. I’m worried about you.”
Nick looks over at me, searching my face. I wait patiently, knowing he will talk once he works through what he’s thinking. “He’s up to something.”
“I know. But whatever it is, it doesn’t seem to be an immediate concern. Monitor things, but live your life too. Has working every waking moment gotten you any information?”
“Not enough.”
“Have you considered reaching out to your hacker friend?”
“Yup.”
“Maybe do that and see where it leads. In the meantime, be present with your friends. We’re starting senior year in a few days. Try to enjoy it.”
Nick raises an eyebrow at that, looking me in the eye.
“I know you don’t like school, Grumpy, but enjoy the time with us.” Taking his hand in mine, I give it a squeeze. I don’t have all the details of his life with his father. He keeps most of it inside his heart, but I know it was horrible, and I don’t want him to suffer now because of it.
He thinks for a little while, then nods, kisses my temple, and stands up, pulling me with him. We jog back to our campsite, both quiet in thought. The rest of the guys have already showered, and E is cooking breakfast.
I go into my tent to call Zander quickly while Nick showers, then grab my toiletries and clean clothes for my turn. Once my hair is clean, I soap up my body. As I’m rinsing, I see the flap on the shower move, and I yelp.
Seb pokes his head inside with a devious grin on his face, completely naked.
“You scared me, Hurry.” I slap his chest with my hand, admiring the contracting abs of his tanned skin.
Boys in high school shouldn’t have such physiques.
Seb has well-defined muscles but isn’t overly bulky, but he is cut with a six-pack of abs and that delicious V guys have leading down to his hard member.
“Mmm, like what you see, beautiful?” He strokes his cock slowly while perusing my wet, soapy body.
A shiver runs through me at the heat building in his eyes. “The guys are close. What are you doing in here?” I ask. We cannot have sex in this little tarped area. Not everyone is aware of our relationships, and I certainly don’t want them to find out this way.
“Relax Sunshine. We’re too far for them to hear us if you’re quiet.
You can be a good girl and keep quiet, can’t you?
” Seb steps closer, brushing his chest against my front.
My nipples, already peaked from being out in the air, get harder.
“I bet you’re wet already, aren’t you? Do you like the idea of me getting you off out here in the forest?
Do you like knowing you have to be quiet?
” He trails his fingertips down my throat, between my breasts, continuing until he reaches the apex of my thighs.
My breath quickens as he skims my folds. “What do you say, Sunshine? Want to have a little fun?” He rubs harder up and down, splitting my moist lips and finding my clit.
I suck in a quick breath, realizing I do find it exciting that we are out in nature and have to be careful. Deciding to have some fun of my own, I spread my legs wider and grasp him with a soapy hand.
Seb leans his head back with a quiet groan, eyes closing. I squeeze a little harder, pumping up and down methodically. His eyes open, searing with heat. He slips a finger inside me, using his thumb to circle my clit.
I can feel my orgasm building already. The naughtiness of this interlude is increasing my libido.
Seb leans down and kisses me, keeping us both quiet.
The wind rustling in the trees, the sun warming our naked skin, and our wet, soapy bodies sliding against each other cause tingles to spread out from my centre.
Breaking from the kiss, I lean my head against his chest, with rapid breaths.
“Are you gonna come already for me, Sunshine? Someone enjoys being a bad girl. Come all over my fingers, outside with the guys close by. Where someone could wander and catch us.”
My breath hitches as my body flushes, and the first tantalizing wave rushes over me.
“Seb,” I choke, burying my face near his neck, going up onto my curling toes.
The orgasm is powerful, sweeping through wave after wave as Seb continues to pump his finger inside me, rubbing on that magical area while circling my clit gently.
Once my body comes back to earth, I release a relaxing, shuddering breath, realizing my hand is still wrapped around Seb, although I stopped pumping when my orgasm hit.
That was an amazing release, and I want to return the favor.
Dropping to my knees, I turn the water back on, rinsing my hand and Seb before taking him into my mouth.
Looking up through my lashes, I see him gazing down at me, biting his knuckles to stay quiet.
I give him a wink and swallow him down, cupping and massaging his balls in one hand.
He quickly swells and gets even harder. Knowing he’s close, I gently squeeze, and he shoots his hot seed into my mouth.
I swallow the salty tang, lapping with my tongue until he’s spent and soft.
Releasing him from my mouth, Seb grabs me under my arms, hauling me upright for a searing kiss. “Do I have another exhibitionist on my hands, Sunshine? Do you wanna be watched? Or is it the idea of being caught? Hmm?”
“I’m not sure.” I'm feeling a little shy now that it’s over.
“Whatever you like, we’ll explore together. You know I’m open to anything.”
I lean up and kiss him before rinsing the drying soap off my body, and Seb steps outside the tarp to dry himself. Once the soap is gone, Seb holds out a towel for me to dry with. He watches intently as I dress, but doesn’t start another round since everyone will be waiting.
He breaks off once we’re outside the shower area as I walk back to the tent to drop off my clothes.
E has bacon, eggs, and a hot tea ready for me.
Eating breakfast around a campfire brings happy memories to the forefront of my mind.
There’s something about eating hot food in the early morning light, breathing in the fresh air that just makes me feel content.
Early afternoon, as we’re relaxing, Bay asks me to go for a walk. I happily agree, and once we’re out of earshot, I ask what’s on his mind. “I’m not sure how to talk about this, but I think I need to,” he says, rubbing the back of his neck. He seems nervous, which isn’t like him.
“Bay, you can talk to me about anything,” I say, squeezing his hand with a smile.
He holds tight, not letting my hand go, and interlocks our fingers. “Remember when I said that the drive-in wasn’t a date?”
“Yes, of course.” Bay and I went to the drive-in last month, and we had a lot of fun. I thought he might have been asking me on a date, but Seb determined it was just as friends.
“I wanted it to be a date,” he confesses. “I’m crazy about you, Summer, but Seb has been talking about things, and I wasn’t sure if you were available or not.” His cheeks are turning a reddish-pink color I can see, despite his tan.
“Ah. Well, I can tell you I’m crazy about you too, but the situation is complicated.” So very complicated.
“How so?”
“Seb and I talked at the beginning of summer. He told me he and E were interested in a poly relationship with me and wanted to include you and Nick. The idea was overwhelming. The thought of moving on from Jake was, is…hard, so we decided to test the waters together quietly.”
“Seb wanted to feel you and Nick out about the idea, and I wasn’t ready for something like that, honestly.
Things went well with Seb and E, and then Nick happened.
He knew about the poly relationship Seb wanted and didn’t care.
He and I have made out a few times, but none of us has declared relationship status, and we haven’t talked about it again since then. ”
“So, you want a poly relationship with all of us?” Bay seems surprised at the news, almost shocked with his eyebrows raised and blush absent.
Breathing deeply to steady my racing heart, I need to be honest with him. “The idea is intriguing and overwhelming. I’m crushing on all four of you. I have been for a while, Bay.”
Bay looks out towards the water as we continue to walk hand in hand, seeming to contemplate his next words.
The soft scuffle of our feet on the dirt road the only clear sound to focus on as my nerves rapidly rise in anticipation of his response.
“I don’t know if I could share you, Summer.
I always imagined a one-on-one relationship and nothing else. I want you for myself.”
This was the thing I was worried about from the beginning.
Deep breaths, Summer. I can’t choose between these guys, especially now that I’ve gotten closer to Seb, E, and Nick.
Naturally, I fell for all of them. Oh gosh, I’m going to end up with a bruised heart.
“I’d be the luckiest girl in the world to be your girlfriend, Bay.
Truly. I don’t think I can turn off my feelings for the others, though. ”
He stops walking and looks at me with those aquamarine eyes and a sad smile. “Guess I should have spoken up sooner.”
