Montrell looked at the time on his car and sighed dramatically.
He had been clubbing all night and it was almost four in the morning.
Since he and his ex, Tru, broke up, he had been going in between houses.
His sister, Bria, his parents or twin brother, Rondell, all let him crash at their houses, but he preferred to stay by his brother.
That was until his nagging ass girlfriend, Alva, started staying there more than she stayed at her own house.
She hated Montrell and the feeling was mutual.
He and his twin shared a bond that even their mother couldn’t come in between.
Alva wanted to be included on everything they did, but Rondell had to draw the line.
He kept saying that he was ready to be done with her but he hadn’t made a move yet.
“Fuck it.”
Montrell got out of his car, jogged up the steps to his parents’ house and used his key to enter.
The alarm started blaring, but the door barely opened.
He pushed it a little, hoping that he could move whatever was behind it.
A short time later, he heard the alarm being disabled before he heard his mother’s voice.
“If you wake up my grandbabies, the only place you’re gonna be sleeping tonight is the emergency room.” Miriam opened the door but blocked the entrance with her short, plump frame.
“What’s wrong with the door? Something must be blocking it.”
“Ain’t nothing wrong with that door. We put a deadbolt on it,” his father, Henry, spoke up from the darkness.
“You not gon’ keep disrespecting our house, coming in here all times of the morning. Now, we allowed you to sleep here sometimes, but anything after midnight is the next day. You already know I don’t play that shit.” Miriam stood on business, but he was usually able to break his father.
Henry came into view nodding, agreeing with his wife.
“Seriously, pappy, I can’t believe you right now.”
Henry had them all spoiled, especially the twins. Over the years, he’d obviously had enough of their foolishness because he was starting to sound like his wife.
If he were being honest with himself, he didn’t blame him.
The twins spent years doing nothing but smoking weed, playing ball and depending on their father to support them.
Rondell went to college, but that was a waste.
He remained a freshman the entire time he was there.
After a while, their father put his foot down and started showing them tough love.
They thought he was gonna fold after a while, but his wife wasn’t having it.
He and Rondell ended up going to school and getting a degree in business and graphic design.
They both worked at home for different companies, in addition to opening their own printing business.
Their older brother, Montez, let them occupy some empty space in the rear of his tattoo shop and they got a lot of business.
Even their love life had taken a positive turn.
Montrell ended up dating Tru, one of his brother’s employees.
They did good for a while until she got fed up with his late hours of clubbing and partying.
After months of threatening, she finally left him alone and put him out of their shared apartment that she already had before they met.
Montrell was hurt but he had nobody else to blame but himself.
Montrell and his twin had some crazy sexual habits, but that all changed when he met Tru. She was the first and only woman that he ever loved and wanted to be with exclusively. It felt good coming home to her every night but, as usual, he fucked it up.
“Well, believe it,” Henry replied, bringing him back to the present conversation.
“Alright, I apologize for coming in so late. I promise it’ll never happen again.” Montrell, just like always, thought his apology was enough. He tried once again to walk into the house.
“You still ain’t coming in here. All of my grandbabies are here and we don’t have nowhere for you to sleep.” His mother pushed him back and refused to let him enter.
“Y’all got like six rooms up in here.”
“And they’re all occupied.”
“Alright, I’ll crash on the sofa.”
“Not on my new leather sofa. And the floor is off limit too. I paid too much for that rug.”
“That’s what you get. You ain’t have no business losing that girl over some dumb shit the way you did. Them streets ain’t worth being homeless.” Henry was shaking his head as he fussed at him.
“Alright man, I’m going crash by Bria.” Montrell turned to walk away but his mother’s next words stopped him.
“Bria is out of town with her boyfriend, so don’t waste your time.”
His sister had been divorced for a few years, but she didn’t date for a while.
She had some emotions to work out within herself so she was seeing a therapist to help her work through her feelings.
Almost two years ago, she started dating a male nurse at the new hospital that she started working at and they’d been inseparable since they made things official.
Her girls were teenagers now, but Miriam still treated them like babies.
She would die before she let Bria leave them home alone while she traveled.
“Where am I supposed to go?” Montrell held his hands out for emphasis.
“I don’t know but I pray that you get there safely. We love you and have a blessed day.” Miriam closed her door and locked up her house.
“Fuck!” Montrell yelled as he got back into his car.
His older brother and his wife were in Miami, so he didn’t bother going to their house. The only other option he had was his twin. That was also the only place that he had a key to. He wasn’t in the mood to look in his annoying ass girlfriend’s face, but that was better than sleeping in his car.
“Fuck!” Rondell hissed as he bit his bottom lip.
He watched lustfully as his dick slid in and out of Alva’s slim frame.
They went to a mutual friend’s party the night before and came in late.
He and Alva had just made up after their last big fallout, and she woke him up to some bomb ass head.
It was almost noon, and he was tired as hell but he wasn’t complaining.
Lately, he and Alva argued more than anything.
She was the youngest of four and spoiled rotten by her entire family.
She was used to getting her way but so was Rondell.
It wasn’t as bad as it used to be, but his father had him and his siblings spoiled too.
“Yes, baby, don’t stop.” Alva backed her handful of ass into him as she gripped the sheets tighter.
Being with one woman was new to him, and he liked the feeling.
He and his twin had enough threesomes to last them a lifetime.
They still had a ways to go but they had matured a lot over the years.
He had chilled out with clubbing so much but his twin loved the streets too much to give them up.
As a result, he lost a good woman who he was still in love with.
“Shit, I’m ‘bout to cum.” Rondell felt his release coming and he was ready to bust.
“Don’t pull out, baby. I want it inside of me.”
She couldn’t see his face, but Rondell had a look of aggravation covering it.
Alva swore that she was on the pill, but he didn’t believe her.
She was trying too hard to make him nut inside of her, but he never did.
She always hinted about them getting married and having kids, but he wasn’t quite ready for none of that just yet.
Ignoring Alva’s pleas, Rondell pulled out of her and nutted on her ass. She collapsed onto the bed, as he headed to the bathroom that was connected to his bedroom. Once he freshened up, he grabbed a soapy towel and took it back into the room for her to use.
“I wouldn’t need this if you’d just done what I told you to do.” Alva rolled her eyes.
“I’m not your muthafucking child and I’m tired of telling you that.”
Alva was a bossy lil bitch and had a habit of telling people what to do.
That was why they fell out recently. She wanted him to change the locks on his apartment so that his twin couldn’t just come and go as he pleased.
She got pissed when he told her that she had him and life fucked up.
Montrell got on his nerves sometimes, but that was his best friend and womb mate.
He was sure that he aggravated his twin sometimes too, but that was to be expected.
Nobody, not even their parents, could break their bond, and Alva was no exception.
His brother sometimes needed a place to crash and his door would always be open. He only had a one bedroom with a bath and a half, but his sofa turned into Montrell’s bed more often than not. Alva had her own apartment and she could stay there if she had a problem with it.
“I never said that you were. And please, don’t curse when speaking to or at me.”
“Real shit, you might wanna rethink why you wanna stay in this relationship so bad. I told you from day one that I wasn’t one of them do what you say lame-ass college boys.”
“I know you’re not and that’s what I love about you.”
Alva smiled while lying through her veneers.
That was actually one of the things that she hated about him the most.
He was the only man who ever challenged her, and she wasn’t used to that.
Her boyfriends before him were docile and only moved when she said so.
However, she did love Rondell’s bad boy mannerisms and hood swagger.
She admired how close and loving his family was and the way his parents loved and doted on their grandkids.
Alva wanted her children to experience that kind of love on both sides of the family, which was why she wanted Rondell to be the father whenever she had some.
Her parents weren’t too fond of him but she didn’t care.
They would have died if they’d known that she was trying to start a family with a hoodlum, as they often referred to him.
In her opinion, the only thing standing in their way of complete happiness was his annoying ass twin.
Thankfully, he hadn’t been popping up unannounced lately.
Maybe Rondell had finally talked to him like she’d been begging him to.
Alva knew that Montrell didn’t like her very much but that was just too damn bad.
She planned to be around for a while, especially if she got pregnant like she wanted to.
“Yeah, I hear you. And like I said before, I’m not tryna be nobody’s daddy right now. I’m still figuring shit out for myself,” Rondell spoke up, successfully pulling her away from her thoughts.
“Please, let’s not start fighting again. We just made up a few days ago. Are you hungry, baby? How about some breakfast in bed?”
Rondell had laid back down, and Alva straddled him. He had slipped his boxers back on, but she was still naked.
“Hook a nigga up then. I need to regain my strength and get ready for round two.” Rondell squeezed her ass and pulled her closer for a kiss.
“What do you have a taste for besides me?” Alva loved how comfortable she felt around Rondell.
A few years ago, she would have been trying to cover her nakedness once the deed was done.
She’d tried to gain weight for years but, no matter what she ate or did, it never happened.
She took after her mother with her slim frame but that wasn’t so bad when it came to shopping.
Rondell always called her sexy slim and that boosted her confidence through the roof.
She didn’t even feel the need to put her wig back on.
He knew it wasn’t her hair, so she put a head scarf over her stocking cap.
Her face was free of makeup and she no longer slept with her eyelashes on.
