Chapter 1657 Headless Blood Savage (1)

If Sun Hao's original body were present, he would have been extremely puzzled: how could other cultivators appear in the Ten Thousand Extinctions Ancient Graveyard? The raging Bloody Malevolence Qi was enough to make mighty experts halt their steps, truly not a place ordinary people could enter.

Yet at this moment, someone actually appeared, standing not far ahead of the oblivious Sun Hao.

Instinctively sensing his insignificance before this person, Sun Hao, holding a shield in one hand and a hammer in the other, shouted loudly, "Who are you?"

In the air, Sun Hao heard loud laughter, "Good question, hahaha, who am I! However, this is not something you can know right now. Even if you learned it, you wouldn’t remember. No time for words, my time is limited. Let’s destroy this Four-Clawed Dark Flood Dragon first..."

A thunderous rumbling sound reached Sun Hao's ears, as if the Four-Clawed Dark Flood Dragon was thrashing violently.

After a long time, Sun Hao felt waves of bloody aura wash over him. A large amount of blood and brain matter splashed onto his body. An enormous creature was sucked into his Sumero-Void Condensing Pagoda. The pair of flood dragon horns he needed most and was most interested in landed squarely between his shoulders.

Clearly, the other party had helped him immensely.

Instinctively, Sun Hao slightly lowered his Square Shield and Iron Hammer, no longer appearing hostile.

The loud laughter echoed again in the air, "Xingtian Dancing with Shield and Axe. Today, you shall gain eyes. After the mutt wakes up, head eastward together. You will naturally emerge from the Ten Thousand Extinctions Ancient Graveyard. Remember, do not venture deeper."

Sun Hao's body gave a slight jolt. He said, "Head east, out of the ancient graveyard. I understand."

The voice continued once more, "There is one more crucially important thing. You must absolutely remember... you... Damn, won't you even let me speak? Fine, so Heaven’s secrets mustn’t be revealed? Alright, I’ll say it differently. You absolutely must remember, be kind to those who helped you enter the Middle Void..."

The voice grew softer and softer. When it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, it clearly entered Sun Hao's ears: "I know you can't remember things right now, but you absolutely must, absolutely must remember: be kind to those who helped you enter the Middle Void. Remember this, remember..."

Sun Hao instinctively felt this matter was of paramount importance. He immediately roared loudly, "I understand! Be kind to those who helped me enter the Middle Void!"

The moment Sun Hao finished yelling, he heard the Border Collie’s yelping and barking from beside him, "What happened? What just happened? Why did I black out? Huh? Such a strong smell of blood! Damn! We're soaked in blood! Hey? Such potent blood energy..."

Sun Hao buzzed, "Someone just killed a Dark Flood Dragon. They made us bathe."

The Border Collie woofed loudly, "What? What? That terrifying flood dragon, practically immortal, was actually killed? Damn! So these are its horns! Give me one, Sun Hao, why are you so stingy..."

Sun Hao buzzed, "That person said these horns will help me open my eyes. Don’t touch them, Border Collie."

The Border Collie yelped excitedly, "Really? Belly button turned into a mouth, ears growing under the armpits, and now you're getting eyes? I’m dying to see where those eyes are going to pop out..."

Approximately three days later, the pair of horns grew smaller and smaller. From within Sun Hao's body came continuous thunderous rumbling like booming thunder.

The rumble grew more and more intense. It seemed to reach a peak, then with a “boom,” Sun Hao roared explosively. His chest, the two exposed nipple areas, suddenly burst open, transforming into a pair of bright red eyes the size of large copper bells, gazing around curiously.

He saw a little yellowish-brown dog perched on his shoulder. It was pointing at his eyes and laughing so hard it doubled over. "Ahaha! Nipple eyes! Sun Hao, your look right now is truly unique! Belly button mouth, a pair of nipple eyes, ears under the armpits... I’ve never seen such a bizarre ensemble in my life..."

Sun Hao flicked his wrist, his Square Shield disappearing as his thick finger poked towards the Border Collie. "So this is what the Border Collie looks like... such a tiny thing..."

The Border Collie immediately stood upright, protesting, "Where's tiny? Where? Aw, ow, ow... Boss Sun, stop grabbing everywhere..."

Sun Hao said, "I can feel it. Cutting this off would help me."

The Border Collie swiftly retracted both paws, guarding its vital parts. "Sun Hao, Sun Chenxiang... we’ve endured thick and thin together for thousands upon thousands of years. You wouldn’t be so harsh, would you?"

A grave look flashed in Sun Hao's eyes. He said sincerely, "I've decided to spare you, Border Collie. You are the first treasure I've spared that gave me this... feeling."

Seeing the world for the first time, Sun Hao was full of curiosity, eager to explore. However, he hadn’t forgotten the mysterious person's advice.

Once the blood dried and no longer benefited his body, Sun Hao buzzed, "Border Collie, the mysterious person told me to head straight east. We can leave this place, something called the Ten Thousand Extinctions Ancient Graveyard. He also warned me not to go deeper."

The oblivious Sun Hao had no inkling what "east" meant.

But it posed no challenge for the divine canine Border Collie. After sniffing for a long while, the Border Collie stood on Sun Hao’s shoulder and pointed east. "This direction. Forward march! Woohoo! The Border Collie is finally getting out of this godforsaken place! Charge!"

Sun Hao strode forward. His mighty, imposing figure, seven or eight zhang tall, thudded quickly eastward.

They still harvested some things along the way, incidentally killing many ferocious beasts too. A headless man and a rascal dog, fighting intermittently, steadily advanced eastward.

Generally speaking, the beasts encountered along the way grew weaker, and the foreign object within Sun Hao sensed less and less of the surroundings. Sun Hao felt uncomfortable, thinking he might be going the wrong way. But the Border Collie swore vehemently it couldn't be wrong, analyzing emphatically: "In normal places, resources beneficial to a cultivator's training aren't densely concentrated. You having that feeling means we're going the right way."

They walked for an unknown period of time.

The sky ahead gradually changed. The black mist grew thinner, while another kind of yellow-hued fog began swirling in the air.

Had Sun Hao's original body been here, he would naturally have known this yellow fog was Desolate Qi – the characteristic of vast wilderness where ordinary members of the Human Clan couldn't subsist long, only habitable for certain special races.

But present Sun Hao and the Border Collie were completely oblivious to this.

Man and dog strode out of the black mist without a trace of fear. The Border Collie even charged into the Desolate Qi excitedly. "We're finally out of that godforsaken place! Ah, Upper Realm! Divine Canine Border Collie has arrived!"

The Desolate Qi, inhospitable to prolonged human existence, posed no problem whatsoever for the current Sun Hao and the Border Collie. The Border Collie felt itchy for a day or two then was fine. Sun Hao felt nothing at all – not only was it not uncomfortable, his Barbaric Xing Tian Art felt like a fish back in water. Wisp after wisp of Desolate Qi was constantly being absorbed by the technique into his body, ceaselessly strengthening his power.

Per the Border Collie’s request, Sun Hao put away his Square Shield and Iron Hammer, so as not to scare the flowers and grass of the Upper Realm.

Newly arrived here, the Border Collie resolved to start its journey in the Upper Realm with an attitude of world peace and harmonious coexistence among the Ten Thousand Races. Naturally, weapons shouldn’t be flashed about casually.

Wilderness. Truly desolate and uninhabited wilds.

To its surprise, the Border Collie found that after wandering with Sun Hao for a very, very long time, it hadn’t encountered a single Intelligent Race. The whole journey was filled with giant Desolate Beasts that looked thoroughly unintelligent, attacking at the slightest provocation.

Just as ill-tempered as the beasts in the black mist, only less imbued with Baleful Aura and much weaker in strength.

For the Border Collie and Sun Hao, veterans of the black mist, the journey was a simple and easy path of slaughter.

Killing Desolate Beasts yielded some gains, their blood possessed nourishing properties. So, man and dog settled back into their habit of taking blood baths.

Sun Hao's body, bathed repeatedly, grew increasingly crimson. Combined with his headless form wielding two savage weapons, this appearance would undoubtedly strike fear into the heart of any ordinary Warrior who saw him.

Especially the ferocious Bloody Malevolence Qi honed through countless battles that radiated from Sun Hao’s frame. It was potent enough to instantly sap most Warriors of the courage to fight.

In fact, within the Wilderness, any Desolate Beast with a modicum of awareness, or with a significant power gap, wouldn’t dare launch an attack against Sun Hao. They would flee swiftly instead.

After countless years of roaming the endless Wilderness, the Border Collie finally made an ecstatic discovery: he smelled scents different from Desolate Beasts.

Leading the now weaponless Sun Hao, the Border Collie repeatedly emphasized the need for friendliness. He scampered eagerly towards what he believed might be the first settlement of an Intelligent Race he had detected. After emerging who knew how many years ago, he could finally see what cultivators in the Upper Realm looked like…
