Chapter 32
*~* Fury *~*
It didn’t take me long to find a church that could marry us straight away, but it is a three-hour drive.
I wanted a church wedding. I know Jamie kept saying she wasn’t bothered and that anything would do, but I wanted something that she could look back on and share with our daughters.
I’m sure any boys we have won’t be interested.
All I’ve heard since we left is, ‘Do you think we’re doing the right thing?’, ‘Molly said it was okay, but is it, really?’, ‘Did Breaker expect to be your best man?’, ‘Should we have invited the MC?’, ‘Are we being selfish?’
“I swear to God, Jamie, if you don’t stop whining, I’m going to turn this thing around and go back to the clubhouse.”
She pouts and then scowls. “Are we doing the right thing?”
“Yes, yes, yes, and yes. Now, for heaven’s sake can you talk about something else? Please?”
“You can be such a grouch, you know that? What would you rather talk about?” Crossing her arms under her chest only manages to push her tits higher and accentuate her cleavage.
“I don’t honestly know as long as it doesn’t relate to your guilt trip. How about kid’s names? Two boys and two girls. Let’s try that.”
“Gwendoline, Guinevere, Arthur and Harold. They are princesses and heroes.”
“What the fuck! I was thinking more like Daisy and Buttercup,” I reply.
“What about the boys?”
“That was the boys.” I grin as she bursts out laughing and almost hits her head on the dash.
“You asshole. As if you’d ever entertain anything remotely feminine for your sons.
I doubt you’d accept that for your daughters.
I see you more as a Wraith and Salem kinda guy for the girls.
I bet they’re going to be down at the range with you every Saturday and riding every Sunday.
You’re going to need a trike or a sidecar when they’re young. ”
Deliberately swerving the car slightly, I act horrified at the mere thought of a sidecar. “I’m not having a sidecar on my hog. No way, no how. A trike I can stomach, but not a sidecar.”
“You need something that will keep my babies safe, or they won’t be going with you. And where do you expect me to be while all this is going on?”
“Barefoot and pregnant,” I mutter just loud enough for her to hear.
“In your dreams, macho man. Damn Neanderthal is what you are.” Jamie spends five minutes insulting me and describing how men like me are the reason women took so long to get the vote. I let her ramble on because I can listen to that all day if she doesn’t mention Molly and Breaker again.
Stopping off at a gas station to top off the tank and take a quick break, I grab a couple of coffees and some snacks. Waiting for her to return from the ladies' room, my phone vibrates. I’m just reading the message when she returns and catches me.
“Who’s that?”
“Oh, it’s just Cannon asking where I am. I told him we were practicing making babies, and he was happy with that.”
When we arrive at the church, I speak to the minister, and he lets me know that he can perform the service in two hours. I ask if he could recommend a decent hotel, and he gives me the details of one owned by one of his parishioners.
Booking in at the hotel, we go to our room and freshen up. When I suggest taking a shower, Jamie thinks that’s a great idea, walks into the bathroom, and I hear her lock the door. Not quite what I had in mind and she obviously guessed that.
Walking out a few minutes later with just a towel around her, and a damn small one at that, I almost give in to my Neanderthal ways, but restrain myself as time is ticking away. The bathroom is free, so I take a shower and prepare for our big day.
Arriving back at the church with twenty minutes to spare, Jamie watches as I scan the surrounding area.
“You’re not worried that any of your father’s friends are going to show up, are you?” She sounds worried, and I put her mind at ease.
“No, sweetheart, it’s just habit. You know how it is.
Let’s have a wander inside and see what’s going on, shall we?
” Walking into the church we catch the end of a young couple's marriage.
The front pews are full, so we take a seat near the back, and it is all very traditional with a white dress for the bride and such.
“Will you miss the whole wedding dress thing later?” I ask her in a whisper.
“Honestly, I don’t know. No matter how we get married, I’ll never regret it. If I ever do, I’ll have plenty of time to reflect on it.”
Frowning, I ask, “How do you mean?”
“Well, you’d be the reason for any regrets, so you’ll be dead, body parts spread across five states, and if I don’t get away with it, I’ll be doing time somewhere.”
“Oh, okay. Wish I’d never asked now.” Seeing the bride and groom walking down the aisle, their journey just beginning, I give them a smile and a nod.
Once all their guests have left, I approach the minister, and he just needs a few minutes to grab a drink for his parched throat before he does it all again for us. He takes a quick peek down the rows of pews and then asks where our witnesses are.
“Oh crap. I just knew I should have had Molly with me. She would’ve remembered all that stuff.
I bet you haven’t got any rings either, have you?
Goddamn it, we’re a pair of idiots is what we are.
” Jamie is getting herself worked up into a real temper as I take out my phone and turn away from her.
A few moments later I hear footsteps walking down the aisle, so I keep Jamie focused on her rant at me so my surprise isn’t discovered just yet.
“It takes two to tango, Jamie. You could have put some effort into today instead of relying on this meathead to do it all. It’s a woman's day supposedly, after all.” Seeing the flush rush through her body, I think I may have overacted my part, but just then a voice saves me from any regrets Jamie may have been working up to.
“Hey, boss, fancy seeing you here!” Jamie stops her rant at me and turns to direct her wrath at the intruder. Seeing Molly standing there, she just gawks at her, mouth hanging open.
“Glad you and Molly made it here in time, Breaker. Thanks for this.”
“No problem. Anything for a brother, you know that.” Breaker grins and we give each other a man hug and backslap.
Jamie and Molly are hugging, and then Molly pulls Jamie away to the doors of the church.
“Where is Molly taking her?” I ask Breaker.
“Don’t worry, they’ll be back in a few minutes. You need to have a quick change yourself.” Handing me a carryall, he winks at me. “Do it or face the wrath of Molly. I can’t defend you from that, bro, and I’m not even going to try.”
Opening the carryall, I see a pile of neatly folded clothes. “What the hell?”
“You don’t have long, so I’d get your ass in gear. Your cut will fit nicely over the top, so don’t worry on that score.”
Looking for the darkest corner I can find, I rush over and change. Walking back to Breaker, I am now in light blue jeans, a white shirt, my cut and a bolo tie with a Harley on it. There was even a polishing kit for my boots, but I’d already done them at the hotel.
“Have you got the rings, Breaker? She already threw that at me,” I say with a grin.
“What? No, I don’t have them.” Breaker frowns at me.
“Don’t yank my chain, bro. My heart won’t stand it today.” I give him a squint-eye stare, and he doesn’t even blink.
“I don’t have them, but I know a man who does.”
“What the hell does that mean? Don’t make me lose it in a church.” I can feel my temper rising.
He gives a whistle, and I look towards the main doors. From one of the back pews, I see two figures rise, one male, one female. They enter the aisle and walk towards us. As they get closer, I recognize Mateo, but the woman with him I don’t…Wait a minute.
Seeing Spirit in a dress, her hair all done fancy, and with makeup on, I just stand and gawk this time. She blushes at my open-mouthed stare.
“You’d think you’d never seen a woman before,” she states, still blushing.
“So, this is how things are going to happen,” Breaker butts in.
“I’ll walk Jamie down the aisle, Molly will be her chief-bridesmaid.
Spirit will be a bridesmaid and ring bearer, while Mateo will act as your best man.
Now, Molly is waving her ass off at the doors, so Jamie is ready and waiting. Where’s the minister?”
As if by magic, the minister appears and has changed from his suit to some form of formal regalia.
“I was told to get smartened up by a young lady, and she was quite persuasive with her tone.” He looks almost frightened, and we can guess he has been spoken to by Molly.
Mateo takes his place by me, and that’s when I notice his pale blue jeans, white shirt, cut, and bolo tie. I have to admit, we look damn smart for a couple of bikers.
“If your best man speech makes fun of me or paints me in a bad light in any way, you’ll live to regret it. Though you won’t have long to live.” I give him my best ‘smiling tiger’ smile and watch for his reaction.
“Speech? What speech? Breaker said nothing about a speech. I haven’t got a speech.” Mateo’s voice is rising in panic.
“Well, in that case, you have nothing to worry about, have you?” I slap him on the shoulder, and as I do, the wedding march sounds from somewhere in the pews.
A vision appears through the doors, and I don’t mean Breaker. The beautiful woman he is escorting takes my breath away. Jamie is dressed in the same colors as Mateo and I, but in a dress that screams ‘look at me’.
Her hair is piled high, her neck and shoulders are bare.
There is a white ruffled top that shows a small amount of cleavage but is sexy as hell.
The white top leads to a tight, long, pale blue skirt that accentuates her curves, and my first thought, typical of a man, is how does she walk in that thing?
My second thought? Yep. How quickly will I be able to get it off her!
Molly and Spirit walk behind her, but I only have eyes for my gorgeous woman.
When they reach me, Breaker hands her over in a very ceremonial fashion and then steps away. The minister takes over, and I stand before Jamie in a daze. Mateo gives me a nudge to take the ring from the minister and again when I don’t say I do at the right time.
Ceremony over and at the church doors, there’s a photographer waiting to take some photographs.
Obviously another Molly touch. When that’s done, they say their goodbyes, and we head back to the hotel.
Arriving there, we are told that our things had been moved to the bridal suite and champagne was on ice awaiting our arrival.
When I question the change of rooms, I’m told it was compliments of the best man.
Once in the room, my cut goes on the back of a chair, but the rest of my clothes stay where they land. I can’t tell you how long it took to get Jamie out of that skirt because she was naked and in bed before me.
