Ch. 14 #2
I turned my music back up to drown out the conversation just had.
Kissing the back of my teeth, I realized I wasn’t shit but a pawn in Adele’s life.
She had no animosity toward the man that shipped her off but had every ounce of hatred for those surrounding him.
He really could do no fuckin’ wrong and she’d eat that shit up.
The way everybody around me kept up this fake ass facade as if real people wasn’t involved blew the fuck out of me.
I was nonchalant as hell, but I had feelings.
A nigga was looking for genuine love, too.
Why everybody got real love and support except me?
I ain’t like that shit for real. I was deserving of the same lifestyle my brother got.
My mama carried the same character traits as this one crazy ass bitch I dealt with fresh out of high school.
I’d never forget Deja Chambers. That obsessed ass hoe could tell you which tooth my cavity sat on.
The dumbass bitch could tell you what color draws I had on knowing she ain’t dress me.
I couldn’t tell you how many times I had to push her ass up off me ‘cause she reacted like a fuckin’ magnet to the dick.
I knew obsessed and delusional too well. Adele was giving all that right now.
Throwing her ass to the back of my mind, I finished the distance from the Springs to the Peaks. It took me a lil’ over two hours to get back to the crib ‘cause of traffic, but I made it. I was pulling into the driveway behind a new Lexus GTX. I looked over to her and scoffed.
Yeah, you went shopping, aight.
I threw my shit in park and climbed out.
My mind wasn’t on shit but washing my ass and eating some real fuckin’ food.
Yonnis told me to check my books and I’ll be damned if it wasn’t loaded with funds but that did nothing for me.
I wanted my own bed, own draws, and a meal that didn’t taste bland as fuck.
On Adele’s delusional ass, you’d never catch me in a cell ever the fuck again.
Once I was inside, I went for the showers first. It took me a lil’ under a minute to strip and drench my entire body in hot water.
Being in jail made you miss the simplest shit.
Dove soap ain’t never been a reason for a nigga to smile before now.
A real wash rag felt like cotton on a nigga skin. I refused to go back again.
I took my time washing, too. Whatever brittle pad of a shampoo them muthafuckas had up in there, my hair was suffering from it.
My skin was so fuckin’ ashy I just knew it was bound to crack at any moment.
A nigga was more than happy to be the fuck home and away from a set of eyes on me twenty-four fuckin’ seven.
That creepy ass shit made me paranoid, I couldn’t lie.
Thirty-minutes later, I was stepping out the shower and out the bathroom dripping wet.
I walked across the hall into my bedroom and shut the door behind me.
Grabbing a towel out my closet, I wrapped it around my waist then another one around my locs.
It felt good being able to freely do what the hell I wanted without being on a schedule.
Sitting on the bed, I took it in and finally relaxed a lil’ bit.
Getting a decent meal and checking in on my crew was the only things left to do.
Chips-N-Dips was along the way to the warehouse, so I would stop and grab something for Twenty-One to munch on while they caught me up.
I ain’t told a soul ‘bout my release even though they’d been writing.
Ace was trying his hardest to check in. I appreciated the reach out, but I was good.
I was dressed and ready to go an hour later. Adele had the crib smelling good with the shit she was whipping up; I just didn’t care for it. I was real petty with muthafuckas. When I ain’t have conversation for you, I ain’t have time either. She was doing that shit for herself.
After pocketing a few blues from my stash, I was surprised to still see intact, I was back out the door. I threw my shit in reverse as soon as my ass touched them leather seats. Adele wouldn’t see me for the rest of the day. The sun was already setting which meant it was time to play in the Peaks.
That one lil’ pit stop was made, and I was pulling up to the warehouse moments later. Seeing them niggas whips lowkey made me smile. I was confused on who the fuck that other nigga was though. I knew what the crew pushed and none of them broke ass niggas could afford a S-Class.
Tia and Tamera were my go to Glocks, but I had other’s.
I reached underneath my seat grabbing the box that held Mary-Kate & Ashley.
They didn’t come out to play too often because they were registered under my name.
Tia and Tamera were my favorite throwaways.
It wasn’t shit to put a hole in you and walk away Scott free with them.
I made my way inside and instantly figured out why niggas was here.
Any other day, I’d have to hit them up just see what’s good but shit, I see they wasn’t too worried ‘bout a nigga. My hearty laugh interrupted their lil’ conversation causing all eyes to shoot my way.
One thing I couldn’t tolerate was a muthafucka with no patience.
“I’m convinced he one of y’all Suga Daddies or something. Why the fuck this nigga keep making his way in my shit?” They got to looking around like ain’t nobody understand what the hell I just asked. “Oh, don’t nobody hear me?”
“B-Black, when you get out?” TJ asked looking between me and Hulk. He told me everything I needed to know right there. Hulk would be their downfall every time.
“Wassup Hulk? What you on?” I sat the food on the table and made my way over to the sitting area they were all seated so comfortably at.
Bentley stood and I had Ashley pulled and aimed in the blink of an eye.
He threw his hands up wearing a smirk. I never found a bitch ass thing funny with him.
“You can sit yo’ bitch ass the fuck back down homeboy.
You quick to get the hell up through when I’m in the picture.
It’s obvious these niggas want you here so don’t be rude and leave them hanging. ”
“Come on, Black. It ain’t even like that,” Ace interjected trying to bestow some peace.
“You can shut the fuck up too lil’ nigga. You be with this shit until I show up so don’t switch up now. Answer me, Hulk. What you on?” I repeated.
All these niggas here could suck my dick. I did time for they disrespectful ass and none of them appreciated that shit. They was just ready to hit another lick and get some more bread. Muthafuckas didn’t know how to save a dollar to save they life. This shit was getting aggravating as fuck.
Bentley’s smile stretched from ear to ear eyeing me as if he was getting off on a nigga.
I already thought the nigga was weird as fuck for always wanting to be in our face.
Shit ain’t sat right with me since Walt introduced this nigga flaw ass plan.
He must’ve thought Twenty-One was some puppets or something.
“I was called ‘cause yo’ crew hungry as fuck. They ain’t been fed in months. I figured I’d be generous and bring them something that’ll fill ‘em up for a minute,” he stated not taking his eyes off mine.
“They know how to fix a plate when they hungry. They don’t need you to do it for them. Y’all too incompetent to figure that shit out?” I asked my crew.
“Didn’t Ace just tell you it ain’t like that nigga. Why all the licks got to come from you? This nigga ‘bout to put over a hunnid bands in our pocket… each! Stop being so fuckin’ selfish. I keep telling you we ain’t got yo’ options,” he shouted.
Being an Atkins wasn’t all it was hyped up to be. If he only knew I wasn’t even supposed to be one, he’d sing a different tune. That jealousy behind the name was noted for the second time. He ain’t have no more chances to show that envious bullshit before I was going in his mouth again.
“So, what’s the plan? Please fill a nigga in on the bullshit that’s been brought up in my muthafuckin’ space once the fuck again by a nigga that can’t buss a grape in fruit fight.” I’d thrown insult after insult at Bentley gay ass just to see what he’d do. I ain’t never played nice with him.
“It’s a job in the Springs of course,” he answered.
“Of course. Let me guess, you got a hard on for Royce again, right? What you want them niggas to take this time? Some more white?” I looked at Twenty-One and shouted, “We don’t fuck with that shit. How many times I got to tell y’all that?”
“White is all I want. They willing to do it so what’s the problem? You gon’ leave them hanging again?” he challenged.
“Muthafucka, what I do with my crew ain’t none of yo’ fuck ass business. I make sure them boys don’t see a day in jail and that white gon’ get them hemmed the fuck up fa sho.”
“Didn’t them petty ass diamonds sit you down? I don’t see the difference in risk. Plus, these lil’ niggas grown as fuck. If they ain’t fuckin’ with that lil’ boy shit you bringing to the table, then let them be. They want real bread, and I got that.” He was talking big… real big.
I know these stupid niggas didn’t run they mouth to a nigga who ain’t part of us. They behaving like a hoe in heat ready to get down with anybody that look they way.
“Understand that bitch. I sat down, they didn’t.
The bread you offering is a hunnid grand short of what I got tucked away for them.
You’ll never be able to do more than I can in my shit.
You better do yo’ homework ‘cause you failing right now pussy, and I hands out no Es for effort,” I taunted finally returning the sly grin he’d worn the entire time.
“Word? Where it’s at?” Ace stood with sparkling eyes. That nigga was in love with how I moved and looked out. You couldn’t tell me otherwise.
