Gingerbread Grove’s supposed ‘it’ couple has been outed as fake.
Official sources confirm that they have not been romantically linked for months, like they had claimed to be, but rather only met the day prior to coming to Gingerbread Grove.
Sources confirm that they were both meant to be flying from Vancouver to Kamloops on December seventeenth, but due to a cancelled flight, rented a car and drove up together.
Tickets and receipts have been confirmed with these dates.
It’s also been confirmed that Avery was dating a Maxwell Gladwin of Vancouver until she met Matthew.
Dates of the breakup and fake relationship are vague.
It’s on this fated road trip that the ruse to date had been hashed in order to show that the games are nothing but a joke. A ruse. Matthew’s hatred for the holiday extended so much that they were going to extinguish the games and have them crumble, much like their gingerbread entry into the games.
Had it not been for the quick thinking of Mr. Eric Davies to ruin their creation before they swept the games (minus the snowball fight, which had been valiantly won by Mayor Cal Smith and his wife McKenzie) and pull off their grand finale of making a mockery of the games.
Thankfully the trophy has likely been awarded to the rightful winners by the time this post is seen by the good people of Gingerbread Grove.
Let this be a lesson to all of us that even those that grew up with us can’t always be trusted. Be vigilant. Be aware. Be Gingerbreadians.
