Chapter 9 Insisting on a Daughter
Everyone around said it would definitely be a son. Even Jia Min hoped to give me a son.
"The Lin family only has you. If the first child is a boy, then our Lin family will have hope."
Jia Mu touched Jia Min's belly, overjoyed.
Jia Min was a bit uneasy. She turned to look at me.
"Sons are nothing special. It must be a daughter."
I looked at Jia Min affectionately. It was our Daiyu.
Jia Min seemed moved. She lowered her eyes to look at her own small abdomen.
"Whether it is a son or a daughter, I like them both."
Upon hearing this, Jia Mu frowned again.
"It is not that daughters are bad, but if the eldest son is born earlier, you two can rest assured and avoid having a second child."
Jia Min was a pampered young lady. Her body was so good, yet in the book she passed away from illness after the young son died.
It must have been the successive births that harmed her body, plus the excessive grief from the child's death.
"It is a daughter, and only one."
I spoke firmly. Although I was smiling on my face, I had already made up my mind in my heart.
This was Daiyu. One Daiyu was better than ten thousand men.
With a daughter as talented as Daiyu, why bother having others?
