Ch30 Calm After the Storm

(Inuko POV)

"Will this just break already!" I shouted as I kept swinging Tessaiga at the ice pillar containing Y/N and Hiten's corpse.

It has only been about three minutes since Y/N was frozen and all of us were busting ass in order to break this giant ass hunk of ice open.

Kagome using the broken half of Hiten's halberd to smash the ice restlessly, her face showing desperation as she violently chipped away at the accursed ice block.

Shippō was possibly the best kept out of us all emotionally, using whatever trick he could think of to break away the ice with various degrees of success.

As for Yura...

"Oni-Bi Gushi! Oni-Bi Gushi! Oni-Bi Gushi!" Yura shouted with pure desperation, trying to melt away the ice surrounding Y/N while shivering like crazy all the away.

She was taking harder then all of us.

While Y/N was frozen in their, he had her comb on his person. And considering how much she was shivering and the desperation to break him out there was a good chance that if he was going to die, he might be taking Yura with him.

Normally I would be happy about the thought of the hairy bitch dying, but now was not the time.

Especially since I was starting to smell burning hair and it wasn't just from technique.

So now we have to break this ice not only to save Y/N, but to make sure Yura doesn't burn to death for the second time.

Once again, damn it all!

(Y/N POV - ???)

"You have got to be kidding me?!" A voice said, getting my eyes to flutter as I woke up.

But that was a voice that I should not hear again.

So either I am hallucinating, or I am dead...

And considering that I had just taken five jewel shards, the later might just be a possiblity.

"Unfortunately I do not think so Hiten." I groaned out as I picked myself up and found my self face to face with the raiju.

The one I thought that I had just killed and died in my arms... dear Amaterasu that is more depressing now that I think about it.

"Well this is just great you kill me, but now I find out that you died as well. How is that even possible, I am pretty sure that I didn't cut you that deep." Hiten said, jabbing a finger at my chest.

Only for the both us to widen our eyes when her hand phased through my chest.

"What in the deepest pits of Yomi!" Hiten said as tried to remove her hand an-

I screamed out in pain and I swore I could feel blood leaking out of my mouth as I felt her hand and fingers inside me! After about another few moments of the worst pain in my life Hiten's hand once again.

I collapsed onto what I assumed was the ground and began to cough up blood...

Oh dear Ameterasu...someone just kill me...it hurts to breathe.

"You have got to be fucking with me! I can't tell if you are alive or dead!" Hiten shouted as she took a few steps back from me.

"Maybe somewhere in between...the shards have never done this before..." I groaned out as the blood stopped leaking from my mouth. If blood was leaking here then I would hate to know what was happening to my body.

"Oh what now with those accursed shards! They were literally the death of me and Manten! I would prefer never to deal with those accursed shards for the rest of eternity!" Hiten spat out.

"You might want to include me onto that list as well...and I wished I shared your sentiments about the shards. Sadly I got one in my chest...might make it six in my soon to be corpse if I don't make it out of this alive." I groaned out, getting Hiten to look at me before letting out a laugh.

"Oh this is just great, those things that killed me are killing you. And here I thought you could fulfill my last wishes." Hiten said with a laugh, before turning serious. "That's it, one way or another I am bringing you back to life."

Wait what.

"You're coming with me Y/N." She growled out while grabbing my wrist.

Only for her hand go straight through me.

"Right forgot about that, anyway you are still coming with with." Hiten said with a growl.

"Do you even know what you are doing?" I asked her.

"Not a clue, but if you are half dead then there must be someway to undo it. Can't have my killer to rot in Yomi with me while you still have Kagome, your retainer, and that brother killing bitch and a chance to live again." Hiten growled out at the last part.

"But what about you, what about your sister?" I asked her, getting the raijū to shake her head.

"Not a chance. I am dead, you killed me end of discussion.

At least I get to see her when the time comes.

Hopefully with you she will live a better life then what Manten and I did.

" Hiten said with a year leaking out of her eye before brushing it off.

"Now then let's hurry and find you a way out of here.

The sooner I do that, the sooner I can move on and be reunited with the rest of my family. "

With that she walked off.

It must hurt, to have family in the land of the living and to wait for them in the afterlife.

Can't even imagine that, I mean if I die here I won't even get to meet my parents again.

At least for a few hundred years.

That would certainly be awkward.

But more importantly, I would never get to see those I care again for who knows how long.

At least I have a shot at making it back, no sense on dwelling on the possibility on think all is lost just yet.

I mean I am certainly between life and death...

And maybe I wasn't the only one.

What of Hiten was in a similar state as well.

She did die not even a moment before the shards caused this whole mess. So there is a possibly that she might be stuck in this limbo.

At least until I die.

Though not sure if there is a good way to prove that feeling.

"Are coming Y/N or not, because is you are planning on staying and dieing I swear I will drag you all the way out of here!" Hiten growled out.

"Sorry but I was still getting used to this whole scenario." I said, which was somewhat truthful.

"That makes two of us! Now come one!" Hiten shouted.

"Alright." I shouted back as I started walking after her.

Here's hoping we can find a way out, maybe for the both of us.

If there was possibly a way out for me, then maybe there was a way out for Hiten.

Now to tell if that would be a good idea or a bad one.

(Inuko POV)

Once again damn it all!

Not only did Y/N start to bleed inside that accursed ice pillar, but now overhead of us storm clouds were starting to roll in.

I have had enough of them to last a lifetime.

As the sound of thunder rolled over us, Kagome turned towards me.

"Please tell me that isn't another raijū?" She asked with tone mixed desperation and excasperation.

"I hope so, because if so I can cut something up besides this accursed ice block!" I growled out.

"It might be, without the Raijū Kyōdai here this valley is prime territory for any raijū. We are in no shape to face another one so soon." Myōga said from his spot on the ice, holding a pebble.

After he returned from holding I gave him two options.

Either help out, or get squashed.

He chose the former.

"Myōga get back to work or I will squash you." I said darkly, getting the flea to nod hurriedly.

"Of course Lady Inuko." The old flea said before hurriedly chipping away at the ice with his pebble.

"Inuko you have to admit Myōga has a point. Of there is another raijū out there we can not fight back at this point." Kagome said, getting myself to nod.

Hate to admit it, but she had a point.

We were all pretty battered...but I could still fight damn it!

"That might be true but I can still fight despite being cut up and my back hurting like all Yomi!

But let's focus on breaking through to Y/N and getting out of here.

If there is a raijū I will deal with it alone.

Either way we need to focus getting Y/N out or otherwise this entire ordeal has been for naught.

" I said seriously, getting Kagome to nod and sigh.

"Hate to say it but you are right. Let's just get this over with!" Kagome growled out before she began to feverishly chip away at the ice pillar.

"That's what I'm talking about!" I shouted as I went back to hacking away at the ice.

We were almost there, we had almost reached the shards and Y/N.

It was imperative to reach the shards first as I do not want to know what would happen if all five joined with him first.

There was also a good possibility that he could already be dead inside there, but honestly it was best not to think or mention it with the girl or Yura around.

It would possibly break them...or in Yura's case probably cause her to finally enact her vengeance on my and the girl in her last moments.

So I was not going to take any risks and begin thinking or mentioning the worst case scenario.

I will save that till after we break Y/N from ice and see what happens to him.

Not even a moment later I was broken from my musings by a sound that I wished never to experience again today.

The sound of Yura screaming out in pain and the smell of burning hair and blood.

"Damn it all, Shippō help me out here!" I shouted out to the kit as he was right next to Yura.

"On it!" He shouted as he and I grabbed both of Yura's new flaming arms and shoved them onto the junk of ice.

Hopefully this would help get Y/N out even faster.

Also to make sure that the tsugumogami bitch doesn't turn to ashes again, I suppose.

"What is going on now?" Kagome shouted as she came from around the ice pillar.

"The scary lady's arms caught on fire!" Shippō called out as he applied more pressure on Yura's shoulder, getting her to let out a mix of a growl and yell of pain.

That would have been music to my years if this wasn't the time.

"If I wasn't close to dying and had both of my hands I would skin you alive kit!" Yura shouted, getting Shippō to be paralyzed with fear before running behind Kagome.

"Well consider yourself lucky she has only half of one kit." I called out to him as Yura's arms finally were put out.

Well what was left of them anyway. One was burnt heavily with only two fingers left. As for the other one...it was practically a stump at this point.

"I think you have done enough Yura." I sighed out as I picked her up.

Not much she could do without arms and legs.

"Not quite..." Yura groaned out as she shook as she raised her remaining hand. And began to pull back.

Until one of them fell off, getting her to scream out in pain.

Okay I might hate the hairy bitch, but that was hard to watch.

"Yura stop it, if you continue this then you will not be able to help Y/N in your condition " Kagome said as she approached her.

Only getting Yura to smirk at that.

"I would doubt that, I believe that I have done more then enough." Yura said.

With one last tug of her finger, she pulled something that landed in Kagome's hand.

One of the jewel shards, still half frozen in ice.

Looking over I saw that the area where we shoved Hiten in had melted away just enough to reveal two shards, with one already in our hands.

"That would do it." Kagome said stunned for a second, before leaping forward along with myself as we began to chip at the ice with even greater speed.

Looks like we can get him out of here soon.

A few moments later I grabbed the second shard as a violet light began to build up in Y/N's chest.

Oh shit!

"Kagome get back!" I shouted at her, jumping back as I did so.

Not a moment later a violet flash of light surround the area.

When it died down there was an entire new layer of ice over Y/N undoing part of the work we put in to clear off.

And only two shards remaining in with an increasingly pale Y/N.

Damn it all, he absorbed one of the shards!

Can anything else go wrong!

"Kagome the creepy lady passed out!" Shippō cried out , getting both me and Kagome to growl.

Of course it did.

Both me and the girl turned around to see the hairy bitch passed out, shivering like crazy as frost started to appear on her.

"That's it, Shippō you are with me!" Kagome said before she began hacking away at the ice, more ferociously and desperately then before.

"Alright!" The kit shouted out determinedly as he summoned a gigantic top that began to bore into the ice.

I would have joined them, but there was still one thing to take care.

"Myōga are you nearby, I know you ran away again!" I growled out.

"Perceptive as always Lady Inuko." He called out from my shoulder, getting him to either underneath my glare.

Calm down, don't take you frustrations out on him. Save it for the ice.

"Keep an eye on Yura until we are done and inform us of anything that changes with her condition." I ordered him, getting the old flea to nod.

"Consider it done Lady Inuko." Myōga said with a nod before jumping off of me.

With a growl I picked Tessaiga back up and stomped over towards the ice pillar.

Y/N...and Yura hold on for just another minute. This will all be over soon.

(Y/N POV - ???)

It had been a few minutes since I started to follow Hiten and it has been... awkward to put it mildly.

Considering our situation and both of us dying or nearly so with what she originally had planned for me and Kagome...it was certainly difficult to even talk with Hiten about any-

"So how exactly did you fall in love with Kagome?" Hiten asked, shocking me.

Okay I did not expect that.

"Come on you can tell me, got nothing better to do while walking through here." Hiten said before grinning. "Or are you just embarrassed to admit the reason why."

"Not really, to her maybe." I admitted, my face turning a littlr red. "It's nothing really special really. We have known each other practically our entire lives. We started as friends and playmates and it grew to where we are now."

"I see, the slow romance type. Same as mom and dad. Not a big fan of it myself, but Manten he would have loved that...if it wasn't his dislike of her." Hiten grumbled out.

"He must hate the idea of you falling for her then?" I asked,getting the raijū to shake her head.

"Can't say for sure. Never was able to confirm them until after that dirty brother killing bitch murdered him!

" Hiten growled out before taking a breath to calm herself.

"I can deal with her once she crosses over to Yomi.

With the way things are it should be sooner or later.

I am in no hurry. Can't wait for you and Kagome to crossover though. "

"Thanks I think, might take us quite a while." I said, getting her to chuckle.

"With your luck I doubt it. But I can wait, literally got all the time in Yomi to wait." Hiten said with a shrug.

Considering it will probably be taking centuries if we don't get ourselves killed, I'd say there is a better chance of her moving on in Yomi.

A moment later a surge pain erupted from my chest, getting me to scream out in pain.

"Y/N what happen-" Hiten tried to say only for her to scream out in pain as both of us started to glow violet.

Along with an excruciating pain erupting in my chest.

It was one of Hiten's jewel shards it had to be.

Otherwise how can you explain why else I can feel something boring into me. And why it hurts like all Yomi!

For another moment the both of us screamed out in pain before everything vanished in a flash of violet.

(Hiten POV)

What just happened?

First I was covered in violet and in pain, but the next thing I know I am cold and it was completely dark.

Did I move on to Yomi already? That was a possibility, that would explain the darkness and cold. Probably in the deepest pits of Yomi.

Only place I would know of given what I have done. Might explain why I was sent here without being judged first.

Many regrets on my part, none that mattered at the moment. Except for perhaps leaving Y/N back there.

Well perhaps he crossed over as well.

Then sorry about that Kagome, looks like you are going to have wait a while for him.

Well might as well figure out my way to claw myself out of this pit.

I tried to move, but I found myself not moving and my vision turned... crystalline?

Wait was I frozen, did Y/N do this?

I heard the sound of something chipping away and through the ice I saw Kagome chipping away at it with the Raigekijin.

Well half of it actually.

With a rather furious look on her face, and with the intention of someone wishing to kill.

Honestly, it was kind of hot seeing that expression on her face.

But that sadly was mitigated by one fact.

I should not be seeing my dear Kagome for quite a long time...unless...

You have got to be fucking with me, I was still alive!

A flash of violet came over me and the next thing I know I was back in that void.

With a groaning Y/N on the ground, looking paler then before. And seemed not to be fading in and out like before.

"Okay if you know anything fess up or else Y/N!" I snarled at him, getting him to groan as he tried to stand back up.

After nearly taking a stumble and falling back down I sighed and went to help him up again.

"Thank you." He groaned out as I propped him.

"Don't mention it." I said with a wince.

He looked like he was clinging for whatever remained of his life, which it might have been.

"Now then, mind explaining what is going on here." I growled out, getting him to sigh.

"I believe one of your jewel shards was absorbed fully into my own. And it also confirms what I thought. That the both of us are between life and death." I said.

"Well that was already obvious, I was back in my body for a few moments! I am supposed to be dead!" I growled out.

"Same here. Though it is a bit worrysome. We experienced it at the same time and we are both trapped here at the exact same moment? Do what's to say that isn't a coincidence?" Y/N said, getting me to ponder for a moment before groaning.

You have got to be kidding me!

"So you believe that the only way in or out of this accursed place is either you die or come back to life." I growled out.

Either we both die and go to Yomi, or we both come back to life.

And with Y/N, the odds were 50/50 both ways.

"Considering how I am feeling here, I doubt my body could last for a while longer or if another shard is absorbed into me." Y/N said, getting myself to groan.

"Well that's just great. Come on then, the sooner I find a way out for you the sooner I can move onto the afterlife." I growled out as I proceeded to drag him away.

"So you do not want another chance of life?" Y/N asked, getting myself to laugh.

"Nope I died like a warrior, that is good enough to me.

I figured that either you would drag yourself with me to the afterlife in case we both come back to life to protect that bitch.

" I said humorously before turning serious.

"And if we both come back to life you would probably do it in order to cancel out killing me.

You gave me an honorable death, so I will not have it undone by your pity. "

There is no way in this accursed place that I was going to allow that to happen.

"So you want me to leave you to move on to the Yomi while leaving your little sister behind?" Y/N sighed, tempting me to grow before he sighed. "Though you did ask me to look after her, I suppose can honor your last request."

"Your damned right you will." I said.

"Still there is the possibility is that the both of us will get out of here alive." He said.

"And there still might be that you are wrong. Now let's just find a way out before you die. The sooner we do that, the sooner I can see the rest of my family." I said to him.

"I am afraid that is not possible sister Hiten."

As soon as I heard that voice, I froze and dropped Y/N. Getting him to groan as he hit the ground.

That voice...it can't be...

I turned around to see that it was true...

It was my little brother.

"Manten!" I cried out as I lept to my brother and gave him a bone breaking hug. "I am so glade to see you!"

"Same here sister Hiten." Manten groaned out as he tried to push himself away. "Though I wish we could reunite for longer, there is little time left." He finished sadly.

What did he mean by that.

He pushed me from my embrace and I felt something against my hand. Something that should have been impossible.

Blood, blood leaking from cuts that I know we're not caused by that brother killing bitch!

Whoever did this will wish they where alive when I was through with them!

But first.

"Manten not even a hour after you died and you pick a fight in the afterlife!

I figured what happened would have knocked some sense into your head but it seems like it hasn't.

Now tell me who did this so I rip them apart and blast them with so much lightning that they wish they were alive!

For once I know who they are, they will regret dying and experiencing the personal Yomi I will unleash on them! " I shouted.

I couldn't protect my brother in life, I certainly could do so here!

However I was surprised when Manten chuckled sadly and shook his head.

"I'm sorry sis, but what I faced...it is beyond even what you could do or the both of us..." Manten said with a shudder and looked terrified.

He was never terrified unless he knew I would punished him for misbehaving.

So something that could scare him...what could do such a thing.

"Manten, what in the blackest pits of Yomi could frighten you like this?" I asked, getting Manten to sigh.

"Wish I could tell you sister, but we are low on time." Manten said as he started to turn ghostly.

No not again! Not after reuniting with my brother so soon!

"Sister listen to me when I say this, you need head back to the land of the living." He said getting myself to groan.

"Not you too brother, already got enough of that from Y/N" I said pointing to the hanyo in question...only to see him crawling towards us. "Why are you doing that?"

"I can't really move my legs, can't tell what that is like back with my body but it can't be good." Y/N admitted, getting me to sigh as I went to pick him up.

"Look the two of you, I am moving on to the afterlife to meet with our parents and getting Y/N back to love in order for him to look after Sōten. I will help you to deal with whoever did that to you soon brother." I said, intent on keeping my word to him.

However Manten shook his head.

"Sad to say that is never going to happen sister Hiten.

That yokai, no monster that did this to me is blocking our path.

All three of us will only be going to it and certain doom!

As long as it exists there no one of us can move on to the afterlife.

" Manten said, his tone full of terror towards the end.

This was something blocking the way to the afterlife...such a thing should be nigh impossible.

Few yokai had such a power and they were usually too weak to affect anything like us raijū.

Unless this was a daiyokai or something related to the accursed shards!

Maybe both!

"So you are telling either we go back to life or I never see our parents or you again!" I growled out, getting Manten to nod.

"Seems like it, though that begs the question are you coming too? Unless of course you can not come back Manten?" Y/N asked, getting my heart to drop as Manten shook his head.

I should have known...

"I wish I could, but we are too faraway from my body and I was already halfway to Yomi when that monster grabbed me. The only way to bring me back would be to use a jewel shard." Manten said sadly. "Which is not an option."

"You got that right, if that is what it takes forget it! I am going to continue with my original plan. Not going to us those fucking shards to defile your corpse either! I am going to-" I growled at Manten, but was cut off midway.

He did the one thing I never thought that he would.

"Sister Hiten for once can you not be stubborn and just accept this needs to be done and hear me out!" Manten shouted out and cutting me off, with tears starting to form in his eyes.

He stood up to me, the nerve of him.

Thinking that he could stand up to his older sister like this...

I am both proud and sad for this.

Proud that he finally had the guts to call me out on something. And sad that it took him dying to achieve this.

"There is no way for me to come back Hiten.

As much as I want too be with you and Sōten.

..I can't asking with the shards. They probably lead us to that monster and I do not want to experience it again.

Neither do I want you beat yourself over my death Hiten.

We both messed up and payed the price for it.

Yet at least you can have a second chance, so just take it.

I do not want our baby sister to die alone in the world.

So please go on and take care of her. I will be alright and waiting for you and Sōten on the other side, with mom and dad.

" Manten said with tears leaking from his eyes.

With myself doing the same.

This was probably the last time we are going to interact for a long time.

So without even thinking I launched myself towards him and gave my brother one last hug and let out my tears.

"If that is it then fine, I'll go! But when the time comes for me to return to Yomi expect me to give you the punishment of a life time for being a moronic little brother!" I cried out, hugging him tighter.

"Then I expect my foolish older sister to have lived a full life with Sōten and have lots of stories to tell and possibly at least a niece or nephew!" Manten cried out.

"That I can promise! Still no matter what Manten...I am going to miss my baby brother!!!" I cried out hugging him even more.

"I am going to miss you too sister Hiten!!!" Manten cried out as we continued our embrace.

For at least another minute as we knew the next time we would meet each other would be a long time for now.

Because I was going to make sure that I was not going to die out until Sōten was old enough to take care of herself.

So I was not going to let go of him for a while.

Even as Y/N struggled to get out of our grasp.

He killed me, so the least he could do is deal with the full weight of sibling love!

After a few more moments Manten turned near transparent and Y/N nearly fell to the ground until I caught him.

"Did you really had to do that Hiten?" Y/N wheezed out as he tried to recover as much air as possible.

"Yes I did." I said with a grin as I wiped away my tears before facing my brother. "Now Manten you seem to know what to do, tell us how to get out of here. So I can find out baby sister and kill a bitch"

"Well about that sister Hiten, as much as I would like that...I am going to have to ask that you not to kill her." The almost ghostly Manten said, getting me to growl and him to flinch.

How dare he! That bitch killed him in such an undignified way and he is asking me not to kill her!

"Hiten I believe that he is asking, since he doesn't want you to die again. At least so soon. Personally I would prefer you to not to, but I can tell that is an impossibility right now." Y)N sighed out, getting Manten to nod.

"He is right sister Hiten, although just for now. You can kill her another time. Preferably after you reunite with Sōten." Manten said, getting my growl to subside.

Damn it, they both had a good point.

I suppose I could settle with cutting her up a little for the moment.

"Alright fine, the both of you have to want to go back at the same time.

The both of you are together in spirit and in body before getting frozen.

Add in that Y/N has a good chunk of the Shikon Jewel's power currently inside him, it is a good chance that it should work.

" Manten said, before gaining a blush and facing away from me. "At least according to her."

Both me and Y/N shared a look while I sighed.

"Manten who is this that you are referring to?" I asked, concerned that my brother was possibly being duped on top of surviving a murderous yokai.

"I don't know, never got a good look at her.

But she was so beautiful and radiant I couldn't look upon her without being blinded.

She drove off that accursed monster and told me everything.

Best part she didn't seem to have any issue with my lack of hair!

The only woman to do so that was not you, trying to kill me, or a battle maniac!

She was truly a miracle sent by Lord Raijin himself.

" Manten gushed out lovestruck, getting me to sigh.

While it was worry some and raised some bad signs, I suppose that we don't really have a choice.

I will have to look up a few things, including this yokai and beauty when I get back. But it seems like Manten is telling the truth.

"Hiten should we-" "It is better that you let him have this moment. Let him have some happiness before he moves on to Yomi." I said, interrupting Y/N and getting him to nod.

"Alright then, Manten we are ready to go. Are you ready to get out of here?" I snapped at him, getting Manten to break out of his stupor and nodded enthusiastically.

"You do not need to tell me twice sister Hiten!" Manten said while grabbing my arm, or at least tried to.

I have him a small smile before turning to Y/N.

"Let's go back home." I said, getting him to nod as a violet aura covered the three of us.

It was time to return to the world of the living and to Sōten.

I turned to Manten and decided to give him another one last hug and a message.

"Tell mom and dad I love and miss them when you see them." I said, getting Manten to give me a sad smile of my own.

"I will, goodbye sister Hiten." Manten said tearfully.

"Goodbye brother Manten." I said tearfully as we were engulfed by the violet aura and vanished.

Not before hearing a roar ring out in the background and getting me to smirk.

That's right you are not getting my brother now or never again you bastard.

(Kagome POV)

Come on, almost there!

Just a few more chips before we can reach the final shard and be done with all of this!

A few more chips and we can finally escape this nightmare!

After another moment I had finally reached the last shard.

I went to pry it out with Hiten's halberd.

Until the other broken half came sailing past my head and embedded itself into ice and dislodged the shard.

Followed soon by the other half of her halberd flew from my hand and into the ice as well.

Dear Amaterasu, please tell me this is not what I think it is!

The sound of lightning flashing above us and all of the jewel shards glowing violet told me otherwise.

"Shippō get behind me!" I told him, getting him to nod as he jumped behind me.

"You have got to be kidding me, that bitch isn't dead yet!" Inuko growled out as she brandished Tessaiga.

"Seems that way!" I said as I picked up a nearby rock.

I had nothing that I could use against Hiten and harm her, but I have had enough of all of this.

Perhaps bashing her head in with a rock would be cathartic.

But how was she even alive right now, Y/N pretty much killed her and the shards dislodged from her head?

A bolt of lightning broke my musings as it crashed into the ice and shattering it causing a wave of violet energy to wash other us.

"Lady Inuko, Kagome I know this is a bad time, but something is wrong with Yura!" Myōga cried out.

"Oh what now!" I shouted as I looked back to see her glowing violet.

Wait a second the glowing shards, the aura, and now a glowing Yura.

This was all caused by the shards, so what would be the effect be on Y/N and Hiten!

Turning back to them I saw Y/N unconscious covered in the same aura and his jewel shard glowing brightly.

With Hiten right next to him, glowing in much the same same way with her halberd completely reformed as she leaned on it.

Covered in arching electricity.

This wasn't good at all.

"Why don't you stay dead you bitch!" Inuko shouted at her and taking a swing with Tessaiga.

Only for Hiten to vanish in a flash of lightning!

"Oh you have got to be shitting me, she has her extra power back!" Inuko snarled out.

"You got that right, you can thank Y/N and Manten for that you brother killing bitch!" Hiten's voice rang out around us.

Before any of us could react, in a flash of lightning Hiten reappeared and slashed Inuko's face with her halberd.

Getting her to scream out in pain.

"However we came back, this was a nice bonus. But not as much as being able to cut you up again!" Hiten shouted out with a grin.

Until I threw my rock at the side of her head.

"That's enough Hiten!" I shouted at her, readying another rock to throw at her.

"Easy there my dear Kagome, there is no need to get rough...well at least not yet. Or we could do it now. If so what would you like, the top or the bottom. Personally I prefer being on top, but for you...I wouldn't mind making an exception. " Hiten said sultry, getting me face to turn red.

Izanami damn it, why does she keep doing this to me! If she isn't trying to kill everyone around me, she was making a pass at me!

"Hiten can you please stop that...and please stop trying to cut up Inuko...I think we had enough for a long while..." Y/N groaned out, getting Hiten to groan.

"Can't have any fun now can I, but I suppose you are right." Hiten groaned out before turning to face me. "Though I did mean what I said."

"Oh I know, but that's not happening!" I growled out as I kicked her in the shin, right where my arrow had landed. Leaving behind quite the burn scar there.

And evident by her howls of pain it was quite sensitive.

Rushing past the raijū I ran to Y/N.

Only to see that someone had beaten me to it.

"Y/N I was so worried about you!" Shippō cried out as he hugged onto him. "I thought that you were..."

"It's alright I am here and alive...well mostly...I am not going anywhere anytime soon..." Y/N groaned out, trying to console the kit, moving an arm to embrace Shippō. "You can let it all out now..."

"Y/N..." Shippō said as tears started to fill his eyes.

"You've been so strong throughout this whole ordeal.

..you have been through so much these past few days even before you met us.

..But through it all you have been so strong.

..yet now it is time to let it all out..

..you can let it all out now." Y/N said soothingly, wrapping his arm around Shippō and embracing him.

Shippō struggled for a few more moments before letting it all out. Crying into Y/N's gi as he let it all out.

Honestly it was touching to see and probably not a good idea not to disturb him at the moment.

So to continued to approach Y/N and saw the full brunt of what the shards had done to him.

His skin tone was now a shade paler, be the shard had merged with his other one, his facial features seemed to grow softer, and more of his hair had turned white. About an entire third of it from the tips onwards.

He had also gained an electric burn on his shoulder, most likely from Hiten. Yet it had seemed to be healed up like the one I had given to the raijū herself.

Y/N seemed fine physically, but internally that was a whole other matter to deal with.

"Hey Kagome...I am so glade to see you..." Y/N groaned out with a smile as he continued to hold onto Shippō.

"Same here, though can you please stop scaring me like that. I was worried that you had died this time!" I said as I leaned over him.

"Almost did...I was with Hiten in somewhere between here and Yomi by the shards... though I am here now...but honestly I wish I could die now... everything hurts." Y/N groaned out.

"I can see that, though how can you be so calm about it and why did you bring Hiten back!" I said to him.

"That's something I want to know myself, why bring that crazy thunder bitch back to life!" Inuko growled out as she clutched her face with one hand, blood leaking from her gash.

"It was either both of us...or neither of us. As for why I am so calm...guess I had faith in all of you...or just numbing myself from the experience. But what I do know...is that I am glade to be back with you all... especially you...Kagome..." Y/N said with a smile before he went limp.

"Y/N, Y/N!" Shippō cried out as he broke from his grasp as I checked on him.

It seemed like he had fallen unconscious, but with how he was we needed to get him checked out right now.

"It's alright Shippō this has happened before, but we need to get Y/N out of here to get him and Yura help. I promise you once we do that he will be alright." I said trying to reassure him.

"You promise?" He asked.

"I promise." I said before turning to Inuko. "Inuko we need to leave now."

"I know, give me a second to carve up this bitch." Inuko growled out, brandishing Tessaiga getting Hiten to laugh.

"No can do, promised Manten and him I wouldn't kill you. At least not yet, but I didn't say anything else about getting payback you bitch!" Hiten growled out before gesturing to the scar on her face before sighing. "That and I am done fighting for today."

Well I am glade that everyone can at least agree on that. But I still could not gloss over one fact...

She just said Manten helped her and Y/N!

Please tell me Y/N did not bring the both of them back!

Upon realising that Inuko brandished Tessaiga and Shippō growled out.

"Calm yourselves down, he couldn't make it here but he has now moved on." Hiten said sadly, most likely meaning that it was true.

Thank Amaterasu for that!

"Now then I am going to bury my brother, take a long ass soak, and then find Sōten. You will not hear from my for a while, but I will be back." Hiten said with a grin.

"Let me guess, to even the score with me and to get the girl and Y/N. Well forget it you crazyed thunder bitch!" Inuko growled out.

"Got that right and the next time we fight, I will avenge Manten you brother killing bitch! The joy from that will only be second to what I hope to achieve." Hiten said while tracing the scar of where Y/N had killed her, a soft expression on her face as she turned to face me and Y/N.

Why do I have a bad feeling about this?

In a flash of lightning Hiten vanished and reappeared next to me.

Before I could react Hiten speed towards me.

And kissed me on the cheek.

"Give my regards to Y/N my dear Kagome. I will see you two soon enough." Hiten said sultry before backing up and vanishing in a flash of lightning.

Avoiding Inuko trying to cleave her with Tessaiga.

"I hate that damned bitch so much!" Inuko said while Shippō proceeded to gag. "You alright Kagome?"

"...I think so." I said in a semi faxed state, my face a flush.

...I do not know what to be feel to be honest.

I just got kissed by Hiten of all people!

I am feeling conflicted about it!

On one hand I am relieved about it and glade she didn't kiss me on the lips.

On the other it was from Hiten, why must she confuse me feelings like this every time!

And I am going to ignore that I...nope. Not going to open up that can of worms anytime soon.

"Girl if you are done have a crisis right now can you pick up Y/N real quick. I am going to need to smash a rock outcropping or something real quick in order to vent some frustrations out before we get both him and Yura to Kaede." Inuko growled out before walking away.

"...Fine do whatever." I sighed out, before getting Y/N trying to push my conflicting feelings down.

Those I can deal with later

For now I just want to do right now is get Y/N checked out and go home.

Cause right now this nightmare was over.

We had won, and for the foreseeable future, I just wanted to enjoy sometime with Y/N.

Because after this week we've had with Inuko's bitch of a sister and the raijū I think I am finally ready.

I think I am finally be able to tell Y/N the truth...
