Rory

Fourteen

Almost two-weeks had passed since I was ran off the road, and my road rash was finally fading.

Finally, I could wear my tube tops and corsets once more.

It was an agonizing week in sleeves around Cinder.

It had also been a week since I had sex with Hades and good God, I was smitten now.

One-night stands were my specialty, but there was something different with her.

I needed to focus, but at the same time I knew I would have something to talk about in therapy tonight.

I was at my shop getting ready to tattoo two Vipers—they were some of my best clients, and they actually paid me instead of asking for discounts. Obviously I gave them one, but they still paid the same amount with a tip.

Bree and Jo wanted a couple tattoo done today, which was sickeningly cute.

Bree was the road captain for the Vipers, and Jo was the secretary.

How Jo didn’t tear her hair out was beyond me because I knew there was a lot to handle with everything the Vipers did, but Jo was very organized.

I think she had undiagnosed OCD. Jo didn’t do doctors or therapy other than with Cher, but unfortunately Cher was not certified in psychology.

Cher’s specialty was digging bullets out of us.

I glanced at the framed picture in my shop. It was a recent one of all the Vipers together. We were a crazy group of people, but I loved them, even if some of them pissed me off. Cinder had created a family—one we never had growing up.

Cinder was the founder and president of the Vipers.

Technically Widow helped her create the MC, but she didn’t want to be VP.

She didn’t want the responsibility if Cinder was away.

Mal was one of the earlier prospects of the MC when there were six Vipers total including Widow while she was in jail, so Cinder gave Mal VP until the club grew.

Before Bree and Jo moved up in rank, Morgan was road captain and obviously she became roadkill.

Parker was the treasurer because they went to school for accounting, but never did anything with the degree.

They were also the one who caught Morgan taking money when she had the title of treasurer.

Fang was possibly one of my favorite Vipers.

She was the tail gunner. She used it as an excuse to consensually check everyone out, but she would protect us.

Fang was ex-marines who was injured in war, so she had a prosthetic leg and a badass Harley Street bob she customized in the nineties.

The door chimed as Bree and Jo walked into Misfit Ink. “So, what are we doing?” I chimed as I jumped on top of my desk.

“Bree doesn’t think you can tattoo her pussy on my thigh,” Jo winked, “but I told her you could.”

“For the last time, you are not getting my pussy tattooed on you. I will divorce you.”

“I will tattoo tits, but I won’t tattoo clits,” I joked. Bree already told me what they both wanted and what Jo would ask for. “So your wife is right.”

Bree grumbled, and Jo laughed as she grabbed my hands. “Call us basic, but I want matching strawberries. You know, the borderline sexual ones.”

“Wait, you want her to do a clit. She said no,” Jo groaned.

Bree laughed, her eyes looking at her wife with admiration. Oh to be looked at like I was everything to someone. “No, she told you she wouldn’t tattoo mine. This is a strawberry.”

“I’ll take that divorce. Rory, you wanna get married?”

“Bree might stab me, and then Cinder will have to kill you; so think about how much you value your life,” I teased. “Now, what tattoo do you want?”

“I want Bree’s eyes tattooed on my forearm. You’re the only one I trust to get the level of detail.”

“Wow, talk about pressure. I’ll do the berries first, and then we can do the eyes. If you have a picture of her eyes, send it to me.”

Seven hours later, all three tattoos were done, and I must say, the eyes were some of my best work. Bree got in front of Jo as she held her forearm up to her face to get a comparison picture for my IG. I would get a better picture once it healed more, but damn, I did a hell of a job.

“And now you can tell you’re queer with your berries and Bree’s eyes.”

“You’re a badass, Rory,” Bree chimed. “Thank you. Now keep the tip this time or I’ll shove it down your bra. Consensually, of course.”

I rolled my eyes with a smirk. “Hey, if you want to see my boobs, just ask.”

K.ARIEL

Hi! I love your tattoos and I am dying to get some scars covered on my back. Can we plan an appointment?

MISFITRORY

Hey! Thank you! We can definitely work on something together. My schedule is a bit crazy, but I can squeeze you in three months from now?

K.ARIEL

That's perfect. I can get money saved up, too. I’ll send you designs and ideas. Do you need to see my back?

MISFITRORY

It’s easier to work with scars in person. I will say I’m not sure how well the tattoo will sit, but we can always try :)

K.ARIEL

Of course! Thank you so much! I can’t wait!!

I finished cleaning my shop and went through my books to make sure I had the timing correct. Most of my clients were regulars because my schedule varied. If I booked a new client, I made sure to put them in my spreadsheet and set reminders because I had the memory the size of a pea.

Now it was time for therapy.
