Chapter 6 He Asked Me to His Birthday

Rebellious Chi Jin seemed annoyed by everyone.

The next day, He Nan Hang called me out to a remote corner of the corridor.

He casually propped his hands on the wall behind me.

"Saturday is my birthday. Are you coming?"

I was about to refuse when I noticed his new eyebrow piercing, the skin around it faintly swollen.

I swallowed my refusal.

A teacher couldn't control him. Even with a hundred times the courage, I wouldn't dare say no.

After a brief silence, He Nan Hang took my silence as agreement.

"You're quite obedient."

I held my breath. "What if I refuse?"

He Nan Hang raised his brows. "Then I'll beat you up."

At that moment, I was immensely grateful I'd kept quiet.

His expression didn't look like he was joking.

Suddenly a large hand lifted my hair. A cool breeze hit my forehead.

He Nan Hang held me in place. "Don't move."

I frowned and shifted my gaze.

His hand, rough with calluses from playing basketball, pressed against my eyebrow.

"Why is he so pure-looking?" he mumbled.

His face came closer. His gaze fell on my lower face.

"Smells good on you. Did you spray perfume?"

A breeze blew past and goosebumps rose on my skin.

I dodged his hand. "I'll go. I need to get back to my homework."

Before he could react, I fled back to the classroom like a rabbit.

Chi Jin lifted his thin eyelids and gave me a cold glance.

I sat on pins and needles, unsure how I'd angered him again.

Thinking of how the circles of these young masters overlapped, I asked carefully, "Will you go to He Nan Hang's birthday?"

Chi Jin tossed his pen casually and gave a faint smile. "Why not?"
