Chapter 5 The Soap and the Reveal

The first mock exam results came out.

As expected, my ranking was at the bottom.

I put away the papers and buried my head in my arms.

I had studied until two in the morning every day.

It was hard not to be sad.

Since sending the soap to Chi Jin.

The atmosphere between us had eased.

He was no longer prickly toward me.

He even talked to me occasionally.

Chi Jin knocked on my desk: "Crying?"

The hidden negative emotion was exposed.

I looked up embarrassed: "I didn't cry."

The night of results was lively.

Class One's learning atmosphere was good.

Everyone discussed hard problems.

Except Chi Jin, he was the top of the grade.

I stared at the last two hard questions with a frown.

I couldn't help glancing at Chi Jin.

He seemed in a good mood.

Chi Jin explained the questions to others.

The line was long.

I pursed my lips and retreated.

I crumpled the wrong draft paper.

I asked the physics representative at the front table carefully.

Jiang Ran was kind and didn't mind.

She explained the problem in detail.

I listened with interest.

I didn't notice Chi Jin's silence and stare.

When I realized, the self-study was over.

I smiled gratefully at Jiang Ran: "Thank you."

She waved: "No big deal."

Suddenly, Chi Jin stood up abruptly.

The chair scraped.

I looked up at him.

Chi Jin lowered his eyes: "So diligent, next exam aiming for first?"

Everyone knew he was sarcastic.

Jiang Ran looked confused.

Although she didn't know the reason, I said softly: "No, I can't beat you."

Chi Jin closed his eyes tightly.

He huffed and picked up his bag to leave.

He glanced at Jiang Ran, who was confused.

I said: "Ignore him.

"He might be going through rebellious phase."
