Chapter 10 I Was Pulled by Him

I was used to Chi Jin's occasional sarcasm.

He glanced at my phone. "You didn't pin it?"

His tone made me realize I should have.

"Then you do it?"

He hummed, tapped the screen quickly, and handed the phone back. "After the cake, go home early. Don't wander off."

I nodded quickly.

After he left, I still felt gazes on me. I pressed my lips together and changed locations.

I wandered until I reached the end of the corridor.

Then I vaguely heard my name.

"He Ge, your taste has gotten so heavy now?"

"Pure young wives aren't good enough anymore. He only watches gay videos."

"Damn, He Ge won't actually like that country bumpkin, right?"

A few guys laughed as they made crude jokes.

The room rang with He Nan Hang's shout. "Get lost!"

Someone suggested, "How about a bet? If He Ge chases the country bumpkin, take his private photos and we'll fund a Kawasaki 1000SX for him."

He Nan Hang liked excitement. "Taking photos is too much. Once I chase him, I'll just do it in front of you."

Crude laughter and whistles filled the air.

They didn't know I was standing right outside the door.

My face went pale. My clenched fists trembled.

Suddenly someone said, "Time to cut the cake?"

Footsteps headed for the door.

I turned and ran, head down, rushing out of the villa.

Just as I reached the gate, a strong hand pulled me back.

I shook on instinct. The evening wind lifted my hair, revealing my reddened eyes.

Chi Jin furrowed his brows, his grip tightening.

"Who bullied you?"
