Chapter 5 #2
Boo. I wanted to see this supposed Godlike bartender Jules was gushing over earlier. And of course he’s nowhere to be seen. The room starts to spin around me while I wait and I have to brace myself against the side of the counter.
Suddenly, I feel the heat of someone’s body fill the space on my right.
“What’s your drink of choice, gorgeous?” I look up and see the same cold grey eyes that I met earlier standing at the cocktail table. Only instead of meeting my own, his snake down my body, staring at my tits and ending on my ass.
Gross. Could he be more obvious? “Thanks, but no thanks. I am just getting water for me and my friend.” I give him my back and continue to wait.
“Oh, come on. Just let me buy you a drink.” He pushes and inches closer to me.
“I said no. Pretty sure you’re familiar with that phrase?” Without giving him a glance, I push off the bar and walk away.
He grabs the top of my arm and yanks me back into him. “Listen bitch, when a man offers to buy your drinks, you should be flattered.”
“Excuse me? Who the fuck do you think you are?” His fingers dig me harder as I try to pull my arm away.
“I’m the guy who’s going to be buried so deep inside your pussy that it makes you forget all the others before me.
” He smirks and I can smell the cigarettes on his breath.
The drinks I had earlier catch up to me and are making me woozy.
I stumble and he takes that opportunity to slip his hand under my dress.
“She said back off. Take a fucking hint dickwad.” Jules grabs my arm and shoves him off me. He takes a step towards us before we walk off, but one of his buddies stops him.
Honestly, I don’t fucking care. All I care about right now is finding the nearest bathroom, because I’m about to lose my lunch.

Next time I see Savannah, I’m going to kill her.
Tonight is busier than the usual Friday crowd. Since we opened three hours ago, I’ve sold over a hundred drinks, with no end in sight. Savannah was supposed to open, but she left after I turned her down and hasn’t been back.
I pop the top off a couple beers and hand them to the waitress who balances them on her serving tray. She walks away and a cute blonde approaches the counter.
“Well hello there.” Her green eyes look me up and down.
I smirk. “Good evening. What can I get started for you love?” Just as the girls work their charm, I work mine. Although I don’t need the tips, they are nice to be able to divide amongst the rest of the team at the end of the night.
“Oh, love? I like the sound of that.” She giggles. “Just a vodka cran and one margarita. And if you could just put it on this card and leave the tab open, that would be much appreciated.” She winks and slides her credit card across the counter towards me.
I freeze when I read the card. What is she doing all the way out here in this part of the city?
“Are you ok?” Her hand waves in front of my face breaking me out of my thoughts.
Shaking my head, I clear my throat, swipe the card and start making their drinks. My girl is here. In my club. Did she come here on purpose knowing I work here?
No, they couldn’t be it.
Unless she found out somehow from my visit, I don’t think she has any idea.
Oh man… She’s probably dressed to kill and I can’t fucking wait to see her.
My cock presses up against my jeans at the thought of her in a tight dress hugging her in all the right places. And then the image shifts to her dancing with someone else. His hands roaming over her body in places they don’t belong.
My jaw tightens and I grip the glasses a little too tightly.
I’ll be damned if I let that happen.
“Sorry about that...” I pause and slide over her drinks.
“Jules.” She takes the drinks from my hand. “Nice to meet you.” She takes her drinks and gives me a flirty smile as she turns away toward the crowd. My eyes follow her, but I lose her behind a group of college kids.
Damn. The crowd shifts, blocking my view. I lean slightly, trying to catch a glimpse of Serena. It’s almost pathetic how quickly she has gotten under my skin.
She’s like my own personal drug, and I am addicted.
Giving up, I pick up the phone mounted on the wall behind me and the speed dial for Cole’s office. It has been almost four hours, and I have had to pee for the last two. He picks up on the third ring.
“Make it quick, I’m busy.”
“Sorry to bother you man, but I am dying down here. I’ve had to piss and I’m not sure if you are aware, but there’s nobody else here at the bar tonight.”
“The bar will be fine without you for a few minutes.” He sighs.
“Thanks man.” I hang up the phone and let the current customers at the bar know that I’ll be back before leaving for the bathroom.
I’m on my way back to the bar when I notice that there’s some sort of commotion going on at the counter.
I was gone for like five minutes, what the hell could have possibly happened?
By the time I reach the counter, whatever was going on has stopped and some guy is holding his friend by both of his biceps, pulling him backwards. I guess I can be thankful I didn’t have to intervene this time.
“Everything okay here?” I ask as I step behind the counter.
The guy in front of his friend looks at me with a frown and shrugs his arm away. “Fine. Just need better control of the bitches you allow in this place.”
