Chapter Twelve
Ω Blakely Ω
When I open my eyes, I notice I’m laying against Bronx. I don’t even remember falling asleep. I was supposed to get some work done before I have lunch with my dad.
I feel Bronx’s knuckles against the skin on my hip. When I look down, I’m not expecting to see him gripping the side of my panties. Bronx mumbles something under his breath before he pulls me closer to him. I bite back my laugh.
He used to always need to be touching me in some way to calm down. It didn’t take him long to fall right back into that.
“You’re like a little space heater. I like it,” he mumbles into my hair.
“I am not that warm.” Am I? I feel like the normal temperature.
“Yeah, you are. I like it. Especially right here.” Bronx rubs his thumb against my hip. “I like it.”
I laugh. “I’m pretty sure you like every part of me.”
He opens his eyes to look at me. “Are you saying you’ll show me?” He grins.
I shake my head. “Take a girl out to dinner before you ask to see her naked. Are you going to let my panties go?”
Bronx doesn’t answer me for a minute. “Nope.”
“Why?” I have things I need to do.
“Because. It’s my day off. I want to lay in this bed with you. All day. So if me holding your panties makes you stay here, then so be it,” he explains.
I grin and move to sit on him again. Bronx, of course, doesn’t let me go, though. I lean down so I’m just an inch away from his face. “I have to go meet my dad for lunch. Do you want him walking into my house with me on you like this?” I whisper against his lips.
Bronx groans and lets me go. “You just had to bring him up, didn’t you? You could’ve just said that you had plans. You didn’t have to tell me with who.”
“Wouldn’t you want to know?” I get off the bed. “That way you wouldn’t have to worry too much about me?”
“Yes. But not him if you’re on top of me. I was going to have such a good shower, and then you started talking about him. He hates me. He always has,” Bronx complains.
He turns onto his side. He watches as I get dressed. “I’m pretty sure he doesn’t hate you. He just didn’t like you before because your… well, your reputation. He didn’t want you to touch his precious daughter.” I smirk.
I remember my dad cursing under his breath saying his daughter deserves better, but he didn’t get to see the Bronx I got to see. The kind, sweet, and adorable Bronx that he tries so hard to hide from everyone.
“Oh, his precious little Princess. He just wants to keep you locked away from me.” Bronx sighs. “I have to battle twenty-seven dragons to be able to win your hand in marriage m’lady.”
I laugh and pull my purple athletic pants up over my hips. The fabric clings to every inch of my legs. I turn just in time to watch as his eyes trail over my curves. “You’re a paramedic. You save lives.”
“He’s a paramedic. He saves lives. I’m pretty sure he thinks he’s the best person to ever walk this Earth, and no one is good enough for his little girl.” Bronx watches as I start to unhook my bra. “Do you want me to turn around?”
I bite my lip. Two can push. “No.” I unclasp my bra and let it fall. “I don’t mind. Don’t you see boobs all the time?”
Bronx’s mouth is open as he watches me. I feel his eyes trail over my skin. I want to fidget, but I don’t. It’s Bronx. I don’t have to feel uncomfortable around Bronx.
“I see…” Bronx starts talking but stops.
I turn to look at him before putting on a sports bra. I pull the black bra down over my breasts before I move it into place. I hate sports bras, but I do have to admit. Running in them feel a lot better than a regular bra.
I reach down to adjust my breasts to fit properly. “How do they look?” I ask.
Bronx stands up and walks to me. His eyes are darker than usual. The look on his face is hungry. “Blakely…” he growls. My thighs press together. “Where do you think you’re working out in that at?” he asks as helifts his hands to rest on my hips.
“Running outside. At the park. I was going to ask if you wanted to join after lunch.” I smile at him innocently.
“You’re not doing that. I can't do it. I’d kill somebody. Then I’d have to save them because it’s my job.” Bronx shakes his head. “You look… so good…” His emerald green eyes look darker from this angle. “You’re the most gorgeous person I’ve ever seen.”
Before I realize what’s happening, I feel the wall press against my back. Bronx presses against the front of me. His left hand travels to my thigh and grips it tightly.
He leans down and whispers in my ear. “You have no idea what you do to me…” His hot breath ghosts against the skin of my neck.
My breath hitches in my throat. He moves my leg up by his hip so he can press against me more.
“You have no idea what you’ve always done to me…
” Bronx kisses my neck causing me to turn my head to give him more room.
“I’ve dreamed about you for years…” His teeth scrape gently behind my ear.
I feel my knees buckle. “I’ve dreamed about this perfect body…
” He continues on, kissing back down my neck.
“Showing everyone that you’re mine. Because that’s what you are. I’ve made sure of that.”
I shiver against him. His lips linger on the hollow of my neck, and nothing else matters.
It’s just me and him.
