Chapter Thirty Five

Ω Blakely Ω

The next day, Bronx woke me up with breakfast and bed. He already laid out what he wanted me to wear for the day.

“I’m surprising you all day today. It’s a day for you to relax,” Bronx tells me.

I stare at his shirtless body as he stands at the foot of our bed. I see a small bandaid across his collarbone. “What’s that?” I point out.

Bronx looks down to where I’m pointing and chuckles. “I tried to pick up Kal-El, and he told me that he doesn’t accept that with me.”

Almost like he knew we were talking about him, Bronx’s cat comes darting into the room and onto the bed. He hisses at Bronx before turning and laying beside me.

“What have you done to my cat?”

“I give him attention.” I laugh at the look on his face.

“I try to give him attention. He scratches me.” Bronx rolls his eyes and sits beside my feet. “So the plan for you is you’re going to have a spa day. Charlotte is coming over, and she’s going to take you to get your nails done and whatever else women do on spa days.”

I swallow a bite of my omelet. “I’m not going to drive her?” I don’t typically get driven around.

I’ve always been the driver, except for when I’m with my dad or Bronx.

“I think your dad might actually kill me if I let you drive my car… Either of my cars, even though my 4runner isn’t modified at all.”

“I thought I was going to go look at cars with my dad?” I ask him. We didn’t really have a set plan for when we were going to do it.

Bronx shakes his head. “That can be on another day, butterfly. Today is going to be all about you. I’m going to head over to Alex’s garage to talk to him about your car. I made sure your car was towed there. I don’t want you to worry about it.”

We’ve been spending pretty much all day together since he went on vacation. “It feels weird for us to have different plans.”

Bronx chuckles. “I know, but we can have separate plans. It’s alright. I don’t want you to get sick of me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. We have plenty of time to spend together.” He winks at me and Bronx gets up and walks to our connected bathroom. My mouth hangs open at his words.

“How do you just do that?” I ask.

He laughs again. “How do I do what? I think we’ve settled on how I can look like this. I practically live at the gym.” He lets his shorts drop to the floor.

I get off of the bed and follow after him. He’s already got the shower on and is waiting for it to warm up.

“No. I know how you can look like that. My question is how do you just drop that you want to marry me and then you leave the room?”

He acts like it’s the most common thing to say to your girlfriend. I feel like that kind of thing needs to be discussed. Bronx steps into the shower and leaves the door open for me to join him.

“I told you the truth, beautiful. There is no one I would rather be with than you. I want to marry you…”

I take my clothes off and step into the shower with him. His hands are immediately on my hips and pulling me closer to him.

“I want to have children with you.” He kisses my neck and tilts my head where he wants it. I let him move my body however he wants me. “I want to spend the rest of my days with you by my side.” His teeth graze against the skin behind my ear.

My knees threaten to give out on me but he holds me up. I’m not even under the water, and my body feels hot. I wrap my arms around the back of his neck.

Bronx straightens and looks me in the eyes. “I want you. Nothing else.”

“I want all of that with you…”
